Hi guys, I recantly decided to update my gt540 from 2.1 to 2.3.3
I followed steps by steps on by this tutorial - http://fdapps.comuf.com/downloads/The LG GT540 Optimus reference page.pdf
Installed rom with fastboot, tried to install Clockwork with fastboot, I typed fastboot flash recovery C:\recovery.img , and then there's <waiting for device> , doesn't go further, I have everything installed sdk, usb drivers and usb debugging activated. Maybe there's some problem with key combination, to get in fastboot. From google I understood, that I have to turn phone off, then press and hold camera + press power button! I did other combinations too, but didnt work.
Just waiting for device..
Any ideas? I read, that if you're in fastboot there's just a black screen, and on pc desktop appears fastboot usb. I have non of that.

Hello
1. you need to install a ROM with fastboot the most common is europe + fastboot (KDZ) ROM.

2. once its finished phone will reboot, then fast login into fastboot mode CAMERA + POWER
3. You are missin 1 thing, OEM usb drivers not GOOGLE usb drivers as some tutorial says, those are just for Android Developer Phones (ADP), Nexus One, and Nexus S.

* these drivers are for your pc to recognize your phone in fastboot mode, they are not the normal LG usb drivers
4. for install the drivers abouve follow these smll tutorials
* if using windows 7:

* if using windows XP:
http://developer.android.com/sdk/win-usb.html#WinXp
once is installed plug your phone in fastboot mode to your pc, now your pc has to recognize your phone wait until it finish installing the drivers and read it properly
5. unzip the new ROM files into C:\*SDK\tools
6. open CMD Terminal and go to C:\*SDK\tools, type:
cd C:\*SDK\tools
7. once in, type
fastboot flash recovery recovery_clockwork_3.x.x.x_swift.img"
fastboot -w
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase boot
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
*Just in case it drops you an error AdbWinApi.dll missing here is the file. place it in C:\*SDK\tools and try again

fastboot "waiting for device"
I have installed all the drivers and everything is working fine except fastboot. I have "nexus s" with me. The problem is:
I do "adb reboot bootloader" to flash the images, but after that if I do "fastboot devices", it doesnot show my device and if I do "fastboot flash ..", it just displays "waiting for device".
Can any one please help, I need it urgently..

You need to turn phone off and hold down camera whilst pressing power.

Can you please clearly explain it, I couldnt get that. The prob was even though I installed the diver fastboot cannot detect the device..
Turn the phone off normally and when you'from holding down power to turn it on, also hold down camera until you get a black screen.

I have bin trying to unlock my bootloader for about 5 to 6 weeks now and still cant do it iv got the unlock key and all the drivers but no joy its really starting to enoy me .im using fastboot with windows xp if any1 has unlocked theres using xp please please please let me no how or if any1 no how to do it all help will be greatly appreciated:-(

yea goes into fastboot everytime with the blue led its just the command promt bit I dont no wot to do iv seen some basic guides on command promt but none help at all

1st download the fastboot.zip i uploaded and unpack it to the root of your c drive.
click on start/all programs/accessories and then command prompt
in the prompt type in cd c:/Fastboot
so the prompt should now say c:/fastboot>
now enter "fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY", where KEY is the unlock boot loader key you got from the Unlock boot loader web page.

Hi, sorry for being noob.
I updated my Yureka to Lollipop via OTA. Everything went smoothly and the phone was running great.
Then I decided to root my mobile and followed the instructions. Downloaded all adb tools and drivers for PC.
By holding shift key opened command window where the extracted adb files were.
Executed command 'fastboot -i 0x1ebf oem unlock'
Then Executed command 'fastboot -i 0x1ebf flash recovery recovery-yu.img'
And then blank..........nothing~!. Tried rebooting, taking out battery, putting it on and rebooting into recovery by holding vol+, vol- and power buttons. Just shows the YU logo and then phone turns blank. Would really appreciate your help guys. Worried :crying:

unable to open recovery or bootloader
just YU Initial icon coming and looping.

PROBLEM SOLVED GUYS~!
I downloaded two files
1). cm-12.0-YNG1TAS0W0-tomato-signed-fastboot.zip
2). factory-image-flash-tools-windows-flashtools.zip
I extracted all the contents in one folder of PC. Connected phone in fastboot mode to PC. Then from the folder of PC, executed the flash-all.bat command by double clicking on it. Thats it, after that in a few minutes, My Yureka is alive again.
Here is the thread, please follow all instructions and hit thanks. :good: :laugh:

I have revived my Soft bricked Yureka Using this method. Many thanks.
Also want to conform here that I had PACMAN 5.1 beta while I bricked the phone. I tried this method on my friend's phone with Blisspop ROM too.

Everything is same except booting after giving the command my device was stuck on fastboot screen but after removing usb cable it boot up and running just like before but hadnt installed twrp.

Hi,
I'm using moto g4 plus xt1643 with RR Custom ROM.
When i restart/Power ON/OFF my device it automatically goes into fast boot mode every time. at that time i have to press start for booting my device. Every time doing this task is getting irritation. Kindly anyone help me to fix this

What happens if you connect your phone to your PC whilst in fastboot mode, open ADB (and use the command 'fastboot devices' to check if your device is detected), and in ADB run the command 'fastboot oem fb_mode_clear' (without quotation marks)? This command, as I understand it, should clear fastboot mode and permit you to boot properly.

so my problem is, that I just cant unlock my bootloader anymore.
I dont know what to do.
The phone just shows the xiamoi logo for one second and then black screen.
Only fastboot mode does work.
Cmd says remote: oem unlock is not allowed. YES I know that I havent activated developer settings but I cant, because I wiped the system and cant do anything. And how to flash stock rom, when I havent got bootloader permissions.
Qfil and so on doestn work either.
Please respond asap.

only you need to change the partition, ONLY WORK IF YOU DONT ERASE THE 2 SYSTEM PARTITIONS (system_a and system_b), to make that you need to follow instructions:
1.- open CMD in platform tools
2.- in CMD type Fastboot getvar current-slot
3(1).-if the CMD say current-slot:_a you need to type Fastboot set_active b
3(2).-if the CMD say current-slot:_b you need to type Fastboot set_active a
4.- reboot the phone typing fastboot reboot, and Ready!!!

thanks for your reply, I typed it and it said active slot a, I typed... set_active b ...
I restarted it and I got black screen again... the problem is I cant flash software on it because I cant unlock the bootloader

Did you try Mi unlock?

You must create a mi account and need to use a chinese proxy to validate registration
I solved it myself. As mentioned I had no OS installed so there was no way to activate developer settings. I couldtn enter edl mode via fastboot so I used testpoint to solve my problem. I then flashed it via Miflash and the phone works now fine :good:

Before flashing a rom and rom custom is better know how to return to initial configuration

Just go on youtube and search for testpoint xiamoi mi a1, I did the same and it worked for me.

If you can access Fastboot. THIS WILL ERASE ALL OF YOUR DATA
1. Enter Fastboot Mode > Make sure drivers are installed correctly
2. Enter "fastboot oem edl" > > Ignore Error > Your phone notification led should now blink.
3. Use MiFlash to flash the fastboot ROM.

Is there a way you could be more specific on what you do please? I don't understand what do you have to do after the testpoint, how do you use miflash to reflash the rom? Please

When your phone is in testmode you are able to flash stock firmware via Miflash. Download the stock firmware in the internet just google it.
You have to install Miflash. Open it connect phone in fastboot (testpoint). Then select the downloaded firmware in Miflash and flash it.
There are many videos on youtube how to flash with miflash.
Mi A1 show on PC screen failed ( OEM unlock is not allowed)
And not on my device

no, our device is android one, so bootloader only need a fastboot command and no code/waiting/program needed...

hi bro your problem and i am the same as me now, and i read from this chat reply that you can finish via testpoint mode, then if you can know what windows you use 7 or 10, because on my windows does not show Qualcom 9008 driver, please help I
