I have windows 7 on my htc hd2 and i was wondering if i could put android on it without losing my windows 7, please anyone tell me if it possible .
Yes its possible to hour android from the SD card. Just go on YouTube and search "WP7 and Android Dual-boot". You'll find a really easy to follow video on how to do it. You might want to backup everything you have on WP7 as you'll need to 'reset' WP7. Also make sure you have a big enough SD card (8GB+ is recommend so you have space).

Hi Guys
I have recently isntalled a custom rom on my phone, and before that I had interop unlocked my phone (omnia 7). Both times I was able to install Nokia Drive (which is an app I would really like), but it tells me that the app does not work on my handset whenever I launch the app.
Any ideas on how to get it to work on the omnia 7?
You need to use patched version. Google for it since I can't post you the link here(I'm not sure it's allowed. If you still can't find it pm me...

I was intending to buy this device for JB, and because it's cool, but I was wondering, do you guys think there's any chance of installing WP8 into this device?
It would be nice.
not a chance whatsoever

Lol didn't mean to thank you, twas a accident.
But anyways, Widows 8 for ARM uses a module called a Trusted Platform Module. Afaik, it is a hardware chip that basically locks the device to Widows 8. That is on top of the signed images and secure boot type of stuff.

Nuh uh, nevarrr!!
Also, it would NOT be nice.

Oh god why would you want to run such a horrid, closed, OS on such a beautiful device. Might as well ask for ios while you're at it

we might be able to run windows 8 given that the surface also uses tegra 3, so there could be a possibilty there, just saying, but windows is a pretty good os not that bad like you think, actually not bad at all.

Interesting thing though. The new Microsoft surface tablets use the exact same processor ours do. But, no not gonna happen unless we reach an HTC HD2 level of compatibility

Did nobody read what I wrote? This is not an issue of drivers/compatible hardware/supported hardware or anything like that.
This is an issue of Microsoft locking Windows 8 for ARM to certain tablets using secure boot implemented in the UEFI. They are also using TPMs to lock the tablets to Windows 8.

You don't want a windows 8 device. I have the HTC Titan and I've tried to live with a really limited app selection but it just doesn't work. There isn't even an official Pandora app, and a lot of others are glitchy as hell. The os is pretty bad ass but with JB being as smooth as it is wp7 loses a lot of appeal. My NGex arrives tomorrow.

Actually what your talking about locks windows to the surface tablet, not the other way around. You can easily emulate an insecure UEFI instance, after all that's how hackintoshes work

So, in retrospect, it could be possible to port Windows 8 RT to android devices?

Actually, I do want a Windows 8 device. I'm using a WP7.5 HD2 now. It's not as bad as you say, and as I don't use Pandora, it's not an issue for me. Also, most of the apps I use are not glitchy at all. What are you using?
I'm also not crazy about having that many apps on my device, so I'm totally fine with it. WP7 is a wonderful OS, please don't put it down just because you prefer something else.
Is it possible for Windows RT to be ported onto the Nexus 7? I was thinking that it would be possible because the Nexus and the Microsoft Surface have the same processor and on a 32GB Nexus, the storage would not be a problem. Please respond!
No

Its not possible, because Windows RT is a source closed operating system.
It also requires license fees and couldn't be posted here since it would be considered warez

Search is your friend. There are already multiple threads asking this exact same question.

Christ no. Why would you want to? That'd be like sticking a Prius engine inside a Corvette body. Hahaha

It is actually the other way around mate, Windows has an excelent performance. I have a x86 tablet running Windows 8 and it's just incredable it would be very nice to see Nexus 7 running Windows RT since they (Win 8 and RT) share the same kernel.

Except RT is limited to the Windows Store, which is severely limited in its app selection. His analogy was correct. Just because it's fast doesn't mean it's a good alternative.
Unless you want to go nowhere fast.
Where do you get that they share the same kernel? Windows RT is but a small fraction of the size of Windows 8.
