CyanogenMod-ROM ist definetly faster because of Overclocked kernel and
Undervolted kernel.
[ROM] CyanogenMod 7.0.0-RC4 (7009) 2.3.3 Gingerbread + NIGHTBUILS (FULLY WORKING)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=939122
what is faster? TolgaMOD v1.1 - Froyo 2.2.1 or CyanogenMod 7.0.0-RC4 (7009) 2.3.3 Gingerbread?
i think CyanogenMod 7.0.0-RC4 (7009) 2.3.3 Gingerbread
i'm using the rc 4.1 cyanogen and is pretty fast!
Facts :
Cyanogen Mod 7 RC4.1
4.468 MFLOPS
So it is nearly 2 times faster...

we need a benchmark-thread
ROM: nFinityGB v0.93 - Gingerbread 2.3.3 (CM7 based)
MFLOPS: 4.398
If you're going to compare MFLOPS, you're also going to state what MHz it's obtained on.
My vote goes for CyanogenMod 7.0.0-RC4.1
Yep thats right, Almost 5 MFLOPs!
Greez
CM7...Damn fast than stock ROM

[Q] Froyo sense

Is anyone using any 2.2 froyo with sense??? for everyday use...
if yes how is it??
whats the name of that rom?
ChocolateFroyo Rel2 is the ONLY 2.2 sense rom available but doesnt have a working camera...Development stopped due to this in the first week of january
not true ... there are three 2.2 sense roms on xda but chocolatefroyo is the one with most working stuff.
thanks....i think i'll wait for the villian team with there froyo w/sense rom...i hope it would come soon
not true. i have VILLAINROM 12.0 based on froyo 2.2 with sense is the best rom with sense for the hero. and if you flash the "flykernel-12a" you can do overclock and set up the cpu for 710 mhz!!!!
That's based on Android 2.1 'Eclair' not Froyo
chocolate froyo was fixed the bug of the camera????

As stated few post before, all Android OS 2.2 with Sense (including chocolate froyo) all comes with non working camera. It's not a bug, it's source not available for Sense 2.2 ROM developers.
If it's of anyone's interest on using Sense, VR13 is now available for flashing.
It's still based on Android OS 2.1 (Eclair) though, not OS 2.2 (Froyo).
Ok thanks!!!!!!!! One think.. Can you send me the link to find villainrom 13 please???
I finded it!!!! I´m going to flash villainrom13 on my hero thanksssss
I need help.
Hello! Already i WAS flashed the VILLAINROM V13 based on ECLAIR but someone does not like to me. Anyone can to say to his criterion any stable and current ROM for HERO?THANKS!!!!!
PD: IF CAN POSSIBLE WITH & WITHOUT SENSE PLEASEEEE!!!!
You don't like the current VR13 that you had flashed?
May be you grew bored with Eclair (OS2.1).
You may wish to try flash Froyo (OS2.2) ROMs then, such as
Froyd1.73 by VillainRom, CM6.2 Speedmachine V2 by Elelinux, Elelinux's other Froyo ROMs, Erasmux's Floyo1.2, Radug's TastyFroyo, Cronos Froyo 1.8....
Froyo ROMs should be very stable and suitable for daily use.
If you are adventurous enough, you may try flash GingerBread (OS2.3) ROMs, such as Elelinux's 7RC2 Hero v1.4, CyanogenMod 7 Nightly or Cronos' GB1.9
Try Gingerbread ROMs if you like to try new things but these ROMs at the current stage all still have bugs here and there.
Remember, always Nandroid your current ROM (back up, in case you need to restore back).
Have fun

I love Sense, but as it's stuck on 2.1 (for everything to work), I've been trying various other ROMs.
I'd certainly recommend that you use ROM Manager to backup whatever ROM you're on so you can completely restore your previous (working) ROMs with apps etc.
I'd been using FroydVillain Villiainrom 1.7.2 for a while (very stable - 2.2), but started trying the CM7 ROMs (2.3.3) - the best I've come across is Elelinux-7.0.0-RC2-Hero-v1.5 (2011-03-17):

Backup and give it a try...
