Hello i found a bounch of programms for sim unlocking but i dont know how trustworty they are! cause here nobody mentions any and i have already bricked one phone so i dont wanna do it again!!!
So does any PRO user here know about that stuff and maybe can tell what exactly to be aware of? thanks a lot!
there are currently no known free unlockers for this phone. If there are, they are being kept very very quiet.

I'm thinking of buying a locked Niki.. And i've already read there's a way to sim unlock it using software and/or codes..
However, i'm also kinda charmed by the way the sim overlay products work.. No messing up your warranty, in the worst case scenario, only thing needed to make it work properly is to cut up your sim card.. And if you manage to f*ck even that up, the provider will happilly provide you with a new sim card in order to generate money from you..

i see the HTC touch mentioned.. However, no touch dual/Nike/Niki.. Even the Diamond is mentioned.. So i'm wondering if anybody has a smartsim or comparable product and is able to verify it *works* with the Niki.. Can't actually think of a reason why it shouldn't work..
The i-smartsim has a very own topic right here on xda-devs regarding the Diamond.. But helas, no Niki variant of that as of yet.

I could really do with some help, I have had my I5800 for nearly a month now and still not found a working way in which to unlock the phone. I ahve searched this site hundreds of times over, and used every method i can, even ones that are for similar phones. I have no money what so ever right now with uni. so i need a way to unlock the phone. It is on T-Mobile.

Sorry, yeah thats what im trying to remove, so it can be used with any simcard, as i say i have tried so many methods of doing this.

If you go to any market stall, they will unlock it for you for a mere £5. The SGS unlock software does not work for this model, as the file locations are various, and thus you cannot use this same application used to unlock the Galaxy S
I know that there are lots of similar topics here, but as far as I searched no one could solve my problem.
I have a HTC HD mini registered for Inidia but I wanna install a GCC (Arabic) Rom on it.
I already have tested "DFT_SSPL_MINI" with official and shipped Roms and also the method "Update from SD memory card" but after each one I ended up with the Error:294 invalid vendor ID.
Does anybody know the solution? I saw some guys with similar problem had successfully changed their Roms by "DFT_SSPL_MINI" but I don't know what is wrong with my phone.

If you bought the phone from a GSM provider and you enagaged in a monthly subscription that means your phone is carrier locked and you can update the ROM only from their site!

Example:
"CID: Carrier Id - commonly used in the form `CID-Unlocking`. If you purchase your phone (example) from Qtek (Qtek is the 'carrier'), your phone will only accept Qtek ROMs (the carrier's ROMs). If you want to flash ROMs from other carrier, you'll need to CID-unlock your phone, so that your phone will accept other ROMs. Note: In general, the phrase 'unlock your phone' usually refers to SIM-unlock, not CID unlock."

But how to CID unlock? as I said in my above post I've already used the DFT_SSPL but with no result and getting the same error. Some guys say that the sspl ignores CID check and thus you can flash a custom rom on your phone but for me it didn't have any benefits.
Do you have any other ideas for me?

It's confusing for me, I paid a lot of money for a phone and there is no way to change the software, why? It's only a software, I have the hardware in my hand. why is it such a complicated problem for hackers who hack everything?

well..if you or nobody from your country doesn't care about the carriers then live with the consequences
Windows Mobile is an OS,not a software and no,it is not complicated for hackers or developers to unlock this,they are just not interested in this phone.
there are tools which unlocks CID,try www.google.com or xda search function for further references.

only solution is to make gold card and install completely rom (including radio), but to do an gold card you must to buy revskills software -> http://revskills.de
With dft sspl you are not able to install radio becouse that feature is disabled for possibly device brick but with gold card you are abble installing everything!
Curently I testing an s-off and super cid for htc hd2 and I have success in super ciding hd2 but some problems in s-offing (it go to s-off but I am lost in nand chip becouse flashing is not possible after s-off) but I think photon and hd2 have something similar about that feature and if I done it for hd2 I will try to explain how to do it for photon... I think I will done it after we have working android nand or maybe if you found jtag pins for photon (I will try to do it by jtag)

Can we find out, whether the device we've CID unlocked or not before we change the ROM?
Hi, i buy this phone from Ebay, and needs to be unlocked, but surprise to me, is imposible cause the loop puk error that many persons have.
I flash and rebranding an use a lot of different SIM cards, also ATT cards and nothing happens, nothing can pass that loop of PUK.
Thinking in something about the software.
I dont know whats wrong, but i waste my money, i bought IMEI Unlock with PUK code for the phone, but nothings helps. So sorry for me, but for new users, listen to my words, dont waste your money in this phone on Internet, if your carrier sells you, is okay, but dont buy this phone on Internet, because you dont know what do you get.
EDIT: Please if somebody knows some trick to do...i trying everthing from debranding, to use nodo, to upgrade or use hacks, and i have imei and unblock imei codes, puk codes from and for the phone...the phone works flaweslly, and its new.
I'll be aprecciated a lot, or pay for a real solution if is possible!

So, this is the end for this phone, if doest work, oficially its a bug on the Phone..
you gonna need some software to unlock it using usb data cable . go to some tech guy who unlock phones near you ! they'l defenetly help you out .
btw .... i don't think flashing would help because thease stuff is stored in nvrom and can be unlocked using some tool box , which usually tech guys has !

hello all, i have a friend that her son passed 2 years ago. she has his old phone and wants to see if there are any video's or photo's of him on it. but the phone is pin locked. we dont know if he had a microsoft accout,either. i came across WPInternals. would this allow her to get what she needs off the phone? im not finding much about how to help her accomplish this. any ideas? thanx everyone...
That is for unlocking the bootloader.
Bypassing the pin is another thing altogether, we cant help you.
This can be legit or it could be an unauthorised attempt into breaking into someone else phone, so in the name of privacy, I can't help you.
You could try to get the files through the tool idk.
