[Q] Droid-X Market Issues??? - Droid X General

Any help with this would be GREATLY appreciated:
First off, I apologize for the lengthy post.
A few weeks ago the market on my Droid-X began to act up. When I entered the market, it didn’t show all of my apps that were installed. Those which had been purchased showed as “purchased” and the free apps weren’t showing at all. If I exited the market and tried clicking on an app that was installed, everything was working. Both paid versions and the free apps were all still installed. I went into the applications manager and cleared the cache on the market and tried again with no avail. I then cleared both, the data and cache, for the market and when I re-entered the market I had to choose “Accept” for their terms and conditions and after a few minutes all of my apps showed up as “installed” again. I thought everything was fixed until I rebooted my phone and the same problem occurred. I had to go and clear data and cache again and then everything was fine until the next time I powered off the phone. One thing I did notice is that before these issues began, the total size of the market, data and cache was between 12 and 14 mb and now it is only showing between 2 and 4. Is there something I can do to fix this problem, or maybe something I did that caused this to happen?
Once again, any help would be greatly appreciated!

market downloads stuck on "starting download" and gtalk not working

Hey everyone,
I've been trying to figure this out for a couple days now. I'm running cyanogenmod 4.2.6, and whenever I try to download anything from the market, the download gets stuck at "starting download". I've tried everything, from clearing the cache of the market app and google apps; going into the terminal and doing "rm /system/sd/dalvik-cache/*"; even performing a full wipe and reinstalling cyanogen. Finally I just tried the regular 1.6 rom from the HTC website (I know the downloads are down, someone sent it to me). All to no effect, the market downloads still don't work, nor does google talk.
This all leads me to believe it might not be an issue with the apps, but an issue with my google account.
Anyone have any idea whatsoever as to what I could do about this?
Thanks in advance!

I have this problem too, though I don't use Google Talk so I can't comment ther.e In regards to the downloads, it seems that the Market gets clogged and you just have to wait for it to unstick sometimes. I've also had the problem where after download it just never installs, as with the recently released Google Maps. Rebooting solved that one.
Oddly enough the problem persisted for several days, then randomly went away. Nothing I did triggered anything, it just started the downloads randomly in the middle of the night.
Very strange.

[Q] Downloads from market keep saying "download unsuccesful"

Any ideas? Was working fine yesterday.
I have been reloading apps all morning from the market, so I don't think it's a market issue. Have you made any changes to your a500? are you rooted or running stock? have you tried powering down fully and rebooting? Is your device full?
Just some quick questions that might help figure out what's going on.
Not rooted. Tried powering down several times. I haven't changed anything from lastnight. Device not full.
are you connected through a proxy server (e.g. at the office)? or are you at the same location that it worked last night?
same location. I tried clearing cache in market app but still nothing. Market opens and works fine but when I try to install its says unsuccesfull.
had to factory reset it. Works now. Pain in butt
I had the problem but I noticed it happened if there was less than a 1GB of internal space. When I zapped some files and apps, I could then install apps again. I tested this out again by filling to less than a GB left and it did the same thing. The space issue seems to be at least one way to get the error the OP mentions.
I wonder if this is the Iconia's version of the infamous "low on space" error due to the data/data folder on the Incredible. Not the same technical issue, but an error that prevents app installs, none the less.

Sigh - having problem with the Market

This is one of the reasons that I hate installing new ROMs and restoring data, it never seems to work correctly. I just installed the newest CleanGB (which I love btw). I restored the data and the app "Point Inside" was showing that it needed to be updated, however it didn't have an update option when I went into it.
I tried clearing the Market cache but that option doesn't seem to exist any more (button is grayed out). I have rebooted my phone, uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, and it is still happening. The minute I reinstall it, it shows there is an update available, but there is none available.
Any ideas??? This is really getting to me now.
It will clear up in a day or two. I get that once in awhile on an app then the next day it's gone.

Anyone have issues where apps take FOREVER to start downloading on nougat?

This wasn't a problem until I updated the phone a while after I got it. When I go to the play store and download a new app, it shows "downloading" with the weird fragmented bar moving across the progress bar, but the download refuses to start for like 5 minutes to sometimes several hours or a day. I've turned off every power and data saving mode I could find and it still does this. Factory reset, force stop, clear cache, clear data on all google play related apps (yes, including the system apps), and it WON'T STOP DOING IT.
Haven't had this issue on my Z3Z but I have had this issue on my Nexus 7 tablet once or twice. It randomly resolved itself I don't remember how. You can try deleting your google account, uninstalling all the play store and google play updates and reinstalling them. That may help.
Good luck.
I have this issue too and have been unable to resolve it.
I have the same issue. I'm to the point where I simply leave them be and eventually they download and updates. It sometimes works if I restart the download, reboot the phone, switch from wifi to data to wifi again, things like that.
This might be overkill, but ever since I factory reset the phone I no longer have this issue

Try clearing the cache of the google play store app in settings, if not then all its data. Also, if you just upgraded to Nougat it would be wise to make a factory reset (in recovery mode) to clean up the residual Marshmallow files, if you don't feel comfortable with that, then at least clear your device's cache and Dalvik (in recovery mode)

Multiple problems-Notifications delayed, Play Store downloads stuck, Some apps broken

Hi, I have a Galaxy S10+ on Verizon in the USA.
Having a few major problems that I just can't figure out:
1. When I try to download apps from the Play store, the download gets to 99 or 100% but never completes the installation. The fix is to go into settings/apps/show system apps/download manager and "force stop." Then the installation will complete.
2. Some apps don't work correctly. For example the CBS Radio News app starts streaming audio, then stops a few seconds later. And the ParKing app sometimes records my location upon disconnection from my car's bluetooth, and sometimes it doesn't.
3. Notifications from all apps are totally unreliable. Sometimes they'll come right away. Sometimes not for hours, and sometimes all at once. And sometimes when tapping on a notification it will bring you into the app. while sometimes it will do nothing.
WHAT I TRIED:
Tried rebooting, clearing data and cache on problem apps.
Cleared data and cache on "Google", Google Play Store and google play services.
Cleared phone's cache partition.
Uninstalled and reinstalled broken apps.
I THOUGHT I FOUND THE SOLUTION:
All these problems went away a month or so ago when I logged out of my google account on the phone. Iogged back in and it all worked great! I thought the problem was solved, but now it's all happening again. Logged of the the google account and back in, but it's still broken this time.
AND:
I had similar problems with my Galaxy S7, and thought the new phone would fix these problems! Is it possible there's something wrong with my google account? How could I have the same problems on both phones?
I haven't yet tried a factory reboot on the S10+, but I did do it on the S7, and after working for a while, the problems came back.
Additional info:
Mobile data and wifi have strong signals.
No custom ROMs, not rooted or anything, just stock the way it came. Only downloaded apps from Play Store. Nothing sideloaded.
All battery optimization is turned off. Power mode set to "high performance."
I've looked everywhere for a solution and have come here to the ultimate experts. You're my last hope!
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
