I have searched the forum but I couldn't find the answer I was looking for, so I decided to create a thread.
I was wondering if I could use the HSPL2 to unlock it, but does that only work with T-Mobile ver. in US? Not the UK orange HTC HD2?
If I use the unlock for the WP7 on HTC HD2, does that also unlock it for Android?
If yes, can I unlock it though WP7, then flash Android for NAND and keep the unlock?

HSPL doesn't "unlock" your phone in the locked-to-a-carrier meaning. I don't think such an unlock has been developed for HD2, you're gonna need to get hold of an unlock code (either official or through one of the many unofficial sites)

It depends on where you go i from first. Most people I know have the straight from the factory herald. as far as I know thats all you can get at this point. If no carrier has officially launched it yet(seen a lot of prospecting but I can't remember seeing one on the carrier sites) then there is no need to unlock it, its already unlocked.
sorry to bring the subject up but i'm going to buy a htc in spain where it should be cid locked. Is there any way to put pof wwe rom?

Hey, I am wondering if i will be able to flash updated roms which will be released by htc to the phone without the need to sim unlock it. Infact will any hotfix's or updates work on the locked o2 hd2?

my software info on my mobile has

No you can not flash anything to SIM unlock your phone. The only way is to get the unlock code from T-mobile or one of the websites that offer it
There are no known flash unlock for TMOUS HTC HD2 except for using unlock codes. since yours was bought not from tmobile but from ebay I suggest that you have to unlock using unlocking websites like ebay, and others.

i assume you mean carrier lock.....in any case ans is YES !
As the post above said you are talking about a simlock on the HD2. You will have to aquire a sim unlock code to be able to use another carriers sim card so you can use their service. Your best bet is to go to eBay and buy a code or go to the unlocker.com and buy a code. No ROM flash of any kind will sim unlock the HD2.

Simlock is corelated with mainboard not with any software.
Also, sim unlock can be done only with WM 6.5, if you upgraded to wp7 or android then you need to flash WM 6.5 to unlock it.
