Would anyone have a themed gmail? Like all blacked out or blued?
Or even transparent background like Pendo's Market?
Also...any way to make the pics automatically display instead of having to hit the button?

you can download adwlauncherex off the market it cost money but its def worth it. once you have that downloaded you can download themes that will make alot of the icons black including the gmail. just type in adw theme after u have downloaded adw launcher ex. you might be able to run the theme on a free version of adw launcher. thats not a fact, im im running adw launcher ex so..

does anyone know if this is possible, i would like to use adw but still be able to use the standard samsung widgets,
No. Samsung widgets are part of TouchWiz launcher.
Yeah i tried this myself and mole, samsungs widgets are exlsuive to its launcher. I always said if its part of the phone's software, it should be able to run on any other home replacment with scrollable widget options.

i only need the buddiednow widget, i wonder if you can install it as a regulart APK and if then it would show up on ADW.
Is there way around loosing all of the HTC widgets when installing launcher pro.....namely the beautiful widget?
I have the beautiful widget .apk but I don't think it will work as well as the mt4g stock version.
Also, I had to un install launcher pro to go back to using the sense UI. I tried using home switcher without any luck.

I think the stock HTC widgets will not work as they require HTC framework and code in the Launcher to utilize it. i.e. you have to use Espresso Launcher for them to work.
As for installing and uninstalling Launcher Pro... I have no idea as I use ADW and can freely switch, although I never do.
Thanks.... wish the "faves" button and the "genious" button could be changed..... a side from those "features" I don't mind the sense UI.

If all else fails you can always clear defaults in settings.
Menu -> settings -> applications -> manage applications -> all -> (find your current launcher) touch it -> press the "clear defaults" button
The above also works for your internet, messaging, etc
-Cheers

The old fancy widget looks exactly like the htc clock. That's why they had to change it. Its easy to find on the net.
Doesn't do the flipping action like the HTC one does. In fact, I believe only the newest versions of the HTC clock actually flip. I ran the HTC flip clock on my Desire ported ROM on the N1 and it didn't flip there either.
Thanks.
Not only does the newest HTC clock flip, when it rains a windshield wiper wipes your screen. When it's cloudy your screen clouds up. Pretty neat effects i thought.
I .got over it though. Ive had weatherbug elite for a while so im back to using it with launcher pro and aquarium live wallpaper.
I like a nice clean screen..... so those large iphone like icons combined with no customizable dock had to go.

Beautiful Widgets are the exact same thing. Clock and the Weather animation. Comes on everytime you unlock also.
The newest FancyWidget Pro is the closest thing I've found to replacing the HTC Clock Widget. FancyWidget Pro is awesome though! Super customizable and it can display the battery percentage right on the widget! I've switched to LPP and FW instead of mySense. Only thing LPP needs now is a News/RSS widget and it'll beat Sense hands down!
What's the adb or terminal code to replace adw with launcher pro?
no codes needed... goto settings>applications>manage applications>ADW>clear defaults. after that click home button and it will let you choose which one you want to use, unless you tap "set as default" it will give you this option every time you hit home button.
I'm trying to remove adw completely tho, I'd rather do it thru terminal or adb

U can with titanium or root explorer. Just delete it. Myself, i freeze it with titanium so it won't show up every rom update
I should have mentioned this is for my buddy running cm7 on his 4g.
Once removed will the new themes chooser app be broken?
Thanks for the tips so far but he's not looking to freeze it, hide it, or mask it. He wants launcher pro as the default and ONLY launcher on his cm7.

U won't break it, and he can just delete it. Only reason i stopped deleting it cause i flash on the regular, nightlies, so when i freeze it, it don't pop up install
hey,
I wanna ask if it was possible to have HTC sense with a custom, more customizable app drawer like all the other home replacement app's app drawer. Cause i really want a more customizable app drawer without losing my sense widgets.
I'm afraid it cannot be done without major modifying of the ROM, which isn't easy.
You can try All Apps organizer.
It helps you customize the output and manage your apps by type.
But with sense enabled you won't have many customization on their stock app drawer.
You could also use a home app that looks alike and highly customizable (LauncherPro, adw.Launcher or go launcher....)
yea i'm using go launcher now. but im missing my sense widgets. just too refined. all apps organiser is it an app drawer or just an application?
You can find fine widgets for everything out there
Take a look at All App Organize
But don't you have one with goLauncher? I'm using LauncherPro and you can customize it.
Hi All, recently installed paranoid android, anyone got any idea how i create shortcuts with my own icons? the default launcher doesnt seem to have anywhere i can change it. and i dont wanna install another launcher ideally.
couldn't one simply long press a app's icon on the home screen and then tap EDIT? then you can search for the icon you want to replace it with. I believe that's how I did it.

You would need a custom launcher like Nova Launcher to edit your icons
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
You installed a completely new, and alpha, ROM. Why do you hesitate to install a new launcher?
The latest Nova launcher will even import your icon and screen layouts from the stock launcher.
Sure would like to do this with out adding a launcher as well. Not sure Nova or any other launcher can duplicate all the different looks to your homepage that Paranoid Android is mostly flashed for.
Edit: flashing a launcher will do the trick disregard the above BS.
