Capacitive buttons - G2 and Desire Z General

Do the cpacitive buttons on Desire Z vibrate? I dont know if I am going loco or something but I am sure they vibrate. The buttons on my one have stopped vibrating. I have searched the threads and cant find anyone else with this problem. Is it because they dont vibrate? I swear mine was vibrating until this afternoon
I have searched through the setting and all but cant find a fix.

android jeyboard, "vibrate on keypress"

Cheers mate.
I am talking about the Home, menu , return and search keys. The phone vibrates when I type on the onscreen keyboard.

can anyone please check their Desire Z/ G2 and check to see if the capacitive buttons vibrate when pressed... The capacitive buttons are Home, Menu, Back and Search.
I need to know this urgently so I can book for a replacement before the end of work today if this phone is faulty.
Thanks

Not sure if it's different on the Desire Z but did you make sure you had haptic feedback enabled in your Sound settings?

Thank you very much sir.
I didnt disbale that so I wonder how that got switched off.
It was actually under Sound - Feeedback - Vibrate feedback. I would never have known to look for it there. I was searching under Language and Keyboard.
Very much obliged

Fact About Annoying Vibra

Hello Streakers
Now don’t know how this thing is happen but its 4th time that whenever I unlock the screen the annoying vibra does nt work. Its same with home, menu and back buttons, I even hold these buttons still no sign of vibration. I know it’s a fault coz I haven’t done anything haha… and to be honest no matter what we say about this annoying vibra you will miss it after 5 min.
So people who are spending time to remove this vibra my advice its not worth it. Coz we are use to feel the vibration on streak when we go back home etc.
ooh by the way if you guys wondering how did i fix it all i have to do is ring myself and VIBRA IS BACK
Sounds like a fault to me,I had a good look around to try and turn the vibro of and it seems you cannot

No vibra on a display model in a shop
I was looking online for ways of disbaling the vibra feedback when ever the three main buttens are pressed but no joy so far. but went to a o2 shop in london on friday and found their display model not to be doing it, now how did they manage it, beats me and im sorry i didnt get a chance to ask as there were loads of ppl there.
and yeah re-the battery, using juice defender and turning of my auto symching at night ive managed almost 48hrs with moderate use.
It's a bug/fault. Try turning the power supply off before you pull the cable from the phone...seems to work
btw its called haptic feedback, try looking through the settings for that.
I don't have a streak yet but on the evo its in Settings > Sound & display > Haptic feedback

We have already tried that, there is no option to do this at all on the streak. I have seen a few post on this forum and on the other dell streak forum and none of us seem to be able to turn this off.

Haptic feedback?

Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you guys know how to turn off the uptick feedback for the four action buttons below the screen (the menu, home, return and search buttons)?

Not possible that anyone's found yet. Obviously would be possible with some kind of hack, but nobody's messed with it that deeply.
That really stinks. For a while though i thought i was going crazy, searching the settings endlessly multiple times trying to find the option to turn off the haptic feedback, then i used Spare Parts and thought it would do the trick if i disabled haptic feedback from there, but it didn't work =/
Before the Atrix 4G, i had the HTC Inc, and there was an option in the settings to turn it off so i thought that the Atrix would also have the same option for it but i guess not =/

i dont know if i understood you, but you want to turn the keyboard vibrating off?
settings>Language & Keyboard>Touch Input>Text Input>Vibrate When Typing (uncheck for off)
(this is with stock-rom 2.3 but it should be the same)
Brilliant! Thanks didn't see it there

Capacitive buttons on Gingerbread?

I had to replace the LCD and Digitizer on my Atrix and after fixing it, found that the phone wouldn't vibrate. I didn't think I'd really care about the loss of vibration but finally decided to take it apart again and try to get it working. Anyways, long story short, my phone vibrates now on phone calls and keyboard presses but the capacitive Android buttons don't have haptic feedback. Was this removed in the Gingerbread update or am I just missing vibration there?
I'd go to the AT&T store to compare but I figure it's way more convenient to just ask here.
Thanks in advance!
They have haptic feedback under OTA GB for me.
Check to see if it isn't turned off under Menu ->Sound.

HTC HD2 Keyboard Vibration fix

I have the NEXUS HD2 1.5 ics build and whenever I use the keyboard it vibrates when I touch each key. This eats away at the battery and I'm wondering how to turn this feature off. BTW I've already went to sound and turned off vibration and touch tones so I don't know why it still vibrates when I use the keyboard.
