ok so i downloaded the spiderman game for android...from gameloft...the first time i installed it...it asked for wifi to downloaded additional data...n everything went fine..UNTILL i entered into the actual game...simular to the madden game...the 3d graphics were all in black n white and the game, all though it worked, was unplayable...this was on cm7 nightly 15...
i then uninstalled the game deleted the data from sdcard and went back to iced glacier to see if the problem reappeared..and now when i enable wifi to download the additional data ..it keeps giving me an error..wifi works tho in browser and market...any ideas? or help? simular problems?

I have a problem with this game and I am aware that other users face the same problem, which is that the game does not load. I had tried all methods of installing it, wether it's installing normally letting the APK download the content files automatically from the Gameloft server or manually placing the data files onto the SD card, but either way there is a problem. I tried one version which successfuly installed all data files but when launching it is simply doesn't want to start up, in other cases the downloading just hangs at 80-90%.
I saw youtube videos, which showed that the desire was cable of running, it but I'm not sure how, maybe it was running Froyo or simply theres a way to hack your through it.
I ask anyone in the same situation if they have solved the problem, so far I am able to play Fifa 10 (EA), Asphalt 5, Real Football 2010, NFS: Shift, flawlessly.

i have it installed currently but after some playing...it lags a bit...i think this is due to the adreno gpu

Could you tell me, how I could go about installing it successfully, using your method. I do hope that your HTC is not rooted or tampered with.

did you bought the game from gameloft? i,ve played it and asphalt 5, and hawx and assasins creed, all bought directly from gameloft website.

no. But, I do not see if this should be a problem as the data was downloaded directly from Gameloft servers.
Anybody......?
The pirated version you use is probably an older version. They did have some problems with earlier versions not working but the latest releases all work fine. Just buy it.

To my suprise, the link you provided worked perfectly without any hiccups. I had downloaded the same version from another site, but I have a feeling it was missing some files.
Tbh, the game is a big dissapointment, however...I got Assasins Creed which is Uber-Awesome.

First off, i just spent the last hour reading all the posts that came up in search when i searched for "angry birds"
None of them described my issue.
Here's the problem, when i try to download any version of angry birds from the android market, it doesn't work.
I'll tap Free, Accept, i'll see the little tab that says your item will be downloaded, the little aarow in the status bar shows up then dissappears instantly.
Why wont any of them download? I am able to download other games.
I also tried to unmount the sd card.
i was able to get angry birds seasons from the amazon market, and angry birds original, but im not paying for rio.....
i would like to have angry birds rio.
Hmm, strange issue indeed. Does downloading other apps work? The only advice I can offer is to hard reset from MAGLDR, or flash a different rom. One that works with angry birds for me is typhoon's cyanogen mod.
I Was going to flash CM7 if i didn't like the shift rom by boyppc. But fortunately i do like it. I posted something about it on his thread but he hasn't responded to anything.
i think it's extremely od. And yes i am able to download other apps, it's just the angry birds from the android market.
i really like this rom, so i guess i may have to pony up a buck to download rio from amazon......
or try to flash the same rom again? some files may got corrupted o something. do a backup 1st though.

Try to delete data for “download manager“. Settings-applications-manage apps-all.
Could also be, that your cache partition is to small. Do you know what partition size you flashed?
In typhoons rom thread there was a similar issue if I'm not wrong. Got fixed somwhow..dont ask how, but using 5mb cache is enough on typhoon.
Try flash typhoons rom or try incease your cache to 40mb

Try to download it online and then install it from your sd!
Have got the same problem on my htc legend.
if you have opera mobile installed on your device, try using the opera mobile store
mobilestore.opera.com
they have it there for free as well. just choose your device as HD2 (android) and you're good to go. that worked for me.
Buddy Rush is a FREE game and can be found on the Android Market. It's one of my favorite games I play in facebook.
Really felt happy upon seeing that it's available in the market as well, but after I downloaded and installed it, it FCs on me. :'( Any ideas anyone?

NVM, I found a solution. Unchecking Compatibility Mode in Spare Parts + Reboot did the trick.
Erm... somehow it find a way to force close on me again.
I was able to run the app just fine and let it download its extra 30 MB of data. After that, it prompted me to connect to facebook. After that, I waited for almost an hour eyeing the loading bar that doesnt seem to budge not one bit. I pressed the home button and relaunched the app, then it FCs. Hope I can fix this somehow. :'(
Will try Fix Permissions + Reboot next. I'll update you guys just in case you also like playing this game and have problems.

THAT DID THE TRICK! AWESOME! (It lags a little bit, but it's almost unnoticeable...)
Is it possible to play GTA III on epic 4G? I have stock rom. Maybe if I root it? The game starts, but doesnt get past the startup video.

its not availiable for my device in market, i bought it whne it was on sale for 2.99 for my email. i had to go manually download the apk. it starts up and downloaded the 400mb yes. then the game shows the rockstar logo and then palyt the opening video, then sits at a black screen

Also, try just tapping the screen, it may be ready, just not moving to the next item until you tap the screen, ie sitting at a tap screen to continue prompt that does not get displayed
Also, I had major issues with getting it to run, all tied to the extra data that was downloaded not downloading correctly. I deleted and re-downloaded and the game worked correctly

theres already a discussion on this but yes it does work especially on CM7 and it plays well you need the 1.2 Version. i had 1.0 and i had the issue you have, but if you get the latest it works fine and if you set it to 1.3Ghz your fine if you want 1.5Ghz it plays with minimal lag.
I had to load CM7 to get it downloaded, but I can play it on the Legendary 2.2 ROM.
I dont even have to overclock to get it to play, but OC'ing helps with lag.
Like was said above, MAKE SURE you have version 1.2 of the apk

I installed mine a couple data after I got my Note, and have had only one minor problem, but that was solved with a battery pull. Have had no issues since.
Works fine for me. Using Rocketrom v21
I got it working on mine running LB1 by installing Chainfire 3D & the latest Chainfire 3D plugins. Then I set NFSHP to run via PowerVR plugin and it worked just fine. If you'd like the game's SD data that I pulled from one of my PowerVR devices, just let me know. PowerVR SD data + PowerVR plugin = total success; smooth as silk (Silk the fabric; not the browser. Silk the browser runs like crap!).
