General Info
I do not have a Desire (GSM or CDMA) to test this on, so I would appreciate it if someone could a.) alert me, preferably on twitter, when a new build is made, and b.) let me know if the theme I post here works.
This theme is extensive with over 2000 edited .png files and more than 35 .xml files.
There are no icons included with this theme. If you would like icons, then you can use ADW.Launcher or ADW EX download Minimalist - ADW Theme.
If you would like to donate to me for my work in this theme, then you can download the Donate version of the above mentioned theme. Search for "Minimalist Donate - ADW Theme" to find it.
You do not have to ask me if you can port this or use any part of it. You do not have to credit me for any of my work in this theme.

This theme is for the official CM7 Nightly ROMs.
Theme Info
The widgets are transparent with white text. I recommend using a dark wallpaper.
The font included in the theme is the Ubuntu font.
If you are using Amon_RA's recovery and the theme is not applying after flashing, then you need to use clockwork recovery.

Updated 02-09-2011 to contain custom application icon on rotary lockscreen.
Install Instructions: PLEASE READ!!!
1. Set MetaMorph delay to around 1000 (My exact number is 1054) then press Close
2. Press Unzip/Extract new theme
3. Navigate to where you have Minimalist_Lockscreen_Icons.zip located
4. Select the file
5. Press close on the on the pop up that appears
6. Press Apply all!
7. It WILL force close com.android.phone when it applies the Phone.apk, I do not know of any way around this.
8. While the force close pop up is on the screen, another pop up menu will appear behind the force close pop up and the buttons will say either Continue? or Stop; you must quickly press Force close on the force close pop up, then press Continue? on the other pop up menu; it will then start applying the framework-res.apk
9. The device may freeze up at this point, if it does freeze up (mine did), then wait about 30 seconds, then pull the battery and boot your phone
10. Everything should be applied now

Updated to cm_bravo_full-18.zip and cm_bravoc_full-17.zip. Fixed the "&" problem with the keyboard, also fixed the letters not showing on the popup when you hold a letter.

Edit: Batterie and lockscreen does't change - still the original but this can't make me sad! i love this theme.
when flashing this theme on nightly 22 it works very good, only the in-call-screen doesn't change. On the lockscreen is a white bar on top.

bug report: i got no problems while flashing und booting after flashing yout theme. but there is still the white bar on top at the screen with the pin-entry and on the lockscreen. do you know this bug or should I send you a screenshot? the secend bug is in the standard android clock app. in landscape mode the clock is only shown half. all the other themed apps look brilliant and I can't see any more bugs (=

Your English is good and completely understandable (I live in southern California lol). I am not able to replicate either one of those bugs so if you are able to take a screen of them it would help.

Using build 23 with this theme. I don't have the 'white bar' on my lockscreen.
I do have the clock bug from the 2nd screen.

HOW TO USE THE ICON PACK
1. Install SimplismIcons.apk
2. Install FolderOrganizer
3. Open FolderOrganizer and select the Apps tab
4. Pick and app and from the drop-down menu, select icon
5. Select Icon Packs, and the Simplism Icons should appear
6. Choose an icon, then close the app
7. Add a new item to your homescreen (Shortcuts>FolderOrganizer item)
8. Choose apps, then the app you modified
9. It should now be on your homescreen!

I get that. I just tried to keep this port as close as possible to the one from the Evo. My notification bar is different from yours, too. If people want to mix and match elements from your themes and mine, I don't have a problem with that. I'm not trying to compete with you or anything. I just decided to port this theme for myself. Then I decided to post it 'cause I thought other people might like it. My theme might also be a more viable option for those using 2.09 Sense-based ROMs, because a lot of people have updated from AdamG's Official FroYo HTC Sense ROM (myself included). Just saying.

People then can mix and match and stuff. Because I'm sure there's people out there who will want the patched Rosie launcher.
Great looking theme but how do you change the shortcut icons? the icon apk just installs an app showing all the icons? How do you actually use the icons using folderorganiser? and is it possible to change the mail icon but still have the unread count bubble?

Excellent, cheers. Integrating with the SMS/Gmail/Mail apps woud be great. If not, maybe Gmail Unread Count can be used with custom icons.

I've modified the Circle C with the charger icon of Circle D. Best of both worlds.

Just some googling around how to change colors in GIMP and turns out it was quite easy Same for copying the charger icon. Just a lot of work to adjust all those files but I had some spare time
On the 3rd screenshot, what are the widgets you are using (the one at the top and at the bottom)?
I've been looking to mod the GPS icon as well to show beaming rays but it doesn't seem to have a transparent background. Can you tell me where you got the original from? I'd like to make it work on backgrounds other than black.

I'm sorry, the answer is no.
I can modify and test it on the ROM i using.
u may try to flash it after a nandroid backup.
if problem exists, u may delete all apps in my pack and try one more.
I'd found some materials, so made some change on the Notification BG.
A Star with Blue Flame, that's what image of BRS is.
I also reduce the transparency from 50% to 35%.
I confirm (tried it) that this works on froyo sense 2.2 build 2.10

Need HELP!!!
As the status bar and notification pull-down bar will be resize on the landscape mode.
I tried to make a landscape PNGs and placed in /res/drawable-land-hdpi-v4 but useless. It still resize the protrait PNGs.
My status bar and notification pull-down bar are something special that I want to use a specified PNGs on landscape mode.
Does anyone know what should i do?

Fixed the "Restore Clock Widget ONLY" + "Complete Uninstall" flashable .zips (previous ones had wrong .apk packaged, which was still my theme! sorry!!)
Added transparent background for Signal Strength icons (+ 1px black outline to distinguish better from the theme image behind)
All battery mods have been removed from both versions (cook your own in the UOT Kitchen, help is below near Downloads)
All animations are available in both 2.10.405.2 and 2.29.405.2, as well as a "no animations" package

NOTE - It is quite tough to maintain so many different versions of this theme, as each framework version has 6 flashable .zips to optimize, compile, package and upload, making for a total of 12. It's also tough to keep track of everything so as not to mix anything up, therefore I think that this will be the last version for the 2.10.405.2 series of frameworks. I wish I could contribute more time to this theme, however I would like to try that time at getting a Notification Widget version out, or even a version for AOSP-based ROMs (minus the Sense component of course!). I think that the theme is quite polished, so a last release for 2.10.405.2 seems valid. You never know though, but this is my estimation...your thoughts are welcomed.
I've been working on this theme for a while, and I wanted to release it since it seems the Desire scene has slowed down a bit...(we perfected everything too soon! ) Anyways, PCB Sense is a theme which replaces images in framework-res.apk and com.htc.resources.apk, and is meant to be a subtle addition to the already smooth theme that HTC has created. For me personally, something had to be added to make it unique from all other Sense owners, and that something I came up with is a slick circuit board pattern. The main PCB pattern was obtained from the Android Theme for Chrome, so respects to the creators, which I then blended cleanly with the stock Sense images.
There are 4 different versions of this theme, all based on which kind of animation (in framework-res.apk) that you want to use. I've taken the time to pre-package all animations into separate copies of my theme so it's easiest for you to get a good setup quickly. Videos of the animations can be found below, beside their Download counterparts, but feel free to flash them yourselves, as there's nothing like trying them out with your own tests It might also be a good idea to clear your Dalvik-Cache immediately after flashing this .zip (while in the same recovery session).
I am not going to personalize a copy for anyone, however I will take your feedback of any suggestions. Note that you can just rip the images out of my theme to customize your own, but PLEASE DO NOT REDISTRIBUTE (or offer for download) ANY THEME THAT CONTAINS THESE IMAGES I'VE CREATED. If you really need to for any reason, please send me a PM first. I also plan to port this theme to the New Sense once I get some more time.
Note that the ascii android character/text is based off of frysee's original work! Thanks to him for allowing me to use it!

Customizing/Adding Battery Mod:
[1] Go to the UOT Kitchen, customize your theme throughout each step
[2] Ensure you choose to add the animation you want (UOT kitchen version has animations removed by default)
[3] Choose PCB Sense base 2.xx.405.2 Theme from the drop-down menu on the framework-res.apk step (near the end)
[4] Save this generated .zip file along with the PCB Sense Theme version of your choosing to your SDCARD.
[5] Flash the PCB Sense Theme version via Recovery first
[6] Secondly, flash the generated UOT .zip (overwrites 'framework-res.apk' only)
[7] wipe your Dalvik-Cache, and reboot to normal Android.
Restoring the Stock HTC Clock Widget:
If you'd prefer to use the original flip clock widget from HTC, then you can simply flash the appropriate build # .zip to restore ONLY the 'HtcClockWidget.apk' file to /system/app.
Note that you'll need to use the correct version as always:
2.10.405.2 Restore default HTC Clock Widget flashable .zip
2.29.405.2 Restore default HTC Clock Widget flashable .zip
Uninstalling / Reverting back to Stock:
Download either flashable .zip file[/url] to revert the modified files back to stock, effectively uninstalling ALL of the changes that this theme/mod makes.

This is fantastic, I've been a huge fan of both the Android theme for Chrome as well as the gMail theme, this is just like that, and very good!

Very nice theme, thanks for the work (and the rest of the stuff you've put into the Desire community).
The only problem for me is the battery indicator, I prefer the grey circle mod. Tried flashing my usual UOT zip and sure enough it gives the indicator but kills the flip animations and so forth. I'm going to poke around in the framework and see if I can work out how to switch things myself.
Anyone offering advice or links on the subject has my thanks, I'm currently on a steep learning curve and exploring the framework folder trying to work out exactly what is what. Google appears to be failing me, not that it's not giving answers, just the sheer volume is a little baffling.

i use launcherPro as well, and it looks like the only actual sense widget that you would miss the customisations on would be the weather widget? something i can live without

For those still running Froyo I’ve created a theme that replicates the stock gingerbread look.
This has taken me a long time to compile and maintain. It was not as simple as copying files from one APK to the other; it required xml editing, icon design and much probing into the gingerbread SDK to find all these files to bring you the most accurate Gingerbread look.

You have to be rooted to install these custom roms – if you are not rooted head to XDA and they should be able to help.
I can only support ROMs for the HTC Desire, however the Cyanogen(MOD) framework is very similar across the board. I believe porting to other HDPI devices is not hard and you are free to attempt this with these files.
Download the desired files to your SD Card, if you are on Cyanogen(MOD) or DeFrost you will also need to place the Colour config file “Gingerbread.xml” in /sdcard/CMTheme/
As with all flashable zips a NANDROID backup is recommended.
Flash the *.zip file either with ROM Manager or through recover as you would a ROM. You do not need to unzip these files.
Reboot the phone
If using Cyanogen(MOD) or DeFrost you will need to apply the colour theme (Settings > CyanogenMod settings > User interface > Tweaks extras > “Select Theme” > “Gingerbread”)
Enjoy your Gingerthemed Froyo
Instructions – for Metamorphs
To use the Metamorphs you need to have you desire S-Off’d and you must download Metamorph from the Market. Once you have this it’s pretty straight forward.
If you don’t have S’Off or can’t get Metamorph to work you can merge the files from a Metamorph into a theme (framework-res.apk) and then flash the theme through recovery.
I hope to write a tutorial on how to do this some time in the future.

Use the xml colour file from the blog (you need to right click and download)
You should be able to rip all the "drawable-hdpi" files with no probs.

For CM6.1 - Desire - Flash in recovery then apply colour file.

That works for most of the UI, but the CMtheme stuff doesn't affect menus;

For CM6.1 - Desire - Flash in recovery then apply colour file.

I can't find the fix for this. I think it's in styles.xml search "panel" and remove the "inverse part", but this didn't recompile properly. I'm just using the old white menu pop-ups.

Just for defrost
This is a more thoroughly themed file. Unfortunately I can't post screenshots as I'm not at my computer. To get the keyboard to work you might need to clear the cache of the keyboard app.

I really like this new look, however I think there are a few things wrong.
First, the notifications bar is a really dark black in 2.3 (I have looked at the pictures and tried the GingerNinja ROM) while this is more grey.
Second, the headset icon (I know that you cannot do anything about it since you only have the SDK and not the source code)
I think that's about it..
As I said, I really love this, and I greatly appreciate the effort you have made to port this! I'd love to see some more of it.

I've taken the notification bar from the SDK and various screenshots (see arstechnica for example). I can resize and grey out the headset icon which I will look at doing tomorrow.
Re: incorporating this with other lockscreens, I will try and add them all to this through morphs, but it might take a while.

As I said in an earlier post i LOVE this theme =) But i got a queston. Mine doesn't looke exactly like the screenshot I'm posting n image to show what i mean, on the right side is the screen shot and on the left is what mine look like, dunno if its maybe because I'm using CM power widget in notif... bar?
Also it looks like the alarm icon got and extra pixel on the top right side or something

Looking great. For some reason the keyboard keeps force closing but it's not a problem as I was going to switch to the HTC one anyway but might be something you want to look into. On a HTC Desire with DeFrost 6.1 if it helps. Anyway, keep up with the good work, can't wait to see what it looks like once it matures (or until CM and Defrost release a 2.3 ROM )
EDIT: It appears a second Android Keyboard has been installed as 2 of them appear on my apps list, one is 168KB and the other is 304KB, the 304KB one has a version number of 2.3 so I assume that it's yours. Might see if I can find a way to uninstall the stock one.
