Hi I recently installed android in my HD2, I used the [Jan 26][DL DesireZ v3.2 final][DL Data2SD/Ext4 v2.2][Nand/SD/MAGLAR] rom though NAND.
Everything worked just fine except the market (I have the unsuccessful download error). I surfed all over the web looking for a fix, and nothing worked for me . In the end the market worked only if I take out the SD card and restart the phone, once the phone starts without the SD card the market work just fine. I tried to format the SD card and insert it on the phone again, but the market still doesn’t work.
My question is, the SD card has to have a special format or folder so the market can work again??
I’m using a 8 GB micro SD Card.
I used to have the android rom [20 JAN] NexusHD2-Gingerbread V2.1 NAND [App2SD+][720p][Kernel: tytung_r2_oldcam] and the market worked just fine.
Sorry for my poor English.
Thanks for your help!!

Hi Guys,
First off, thanks to everyone involved in the HD2 developement, it only took me an hour or so of reading posts to get android running on my phone
So, I'm having problems, and I think it's due to the memory card. I'm using the Scandisk 2GB (don't know class) that came with the phone (UK, o2). It has just enough space to run android so it'll do for now.
I tried changing my Radio from 2.12 to an earlier version, as my signal was cutting out in low-signal areas. I managed to brick the phone (used wrong version I think) and had to connect the SD card to my PC via card reader to get a different radio back on there.
When I connected it to windows, it said I had to format the card to be able to use it... It then formatted it at around 950mb, FAT32... After sorting the Radio and booting into winmo, I formatted the SD card which gave me 2GB again. I reloaded Android (I've now tried Mattc's froyosense 1.7 and mdeejays sense 1.3) and now everytime I unlock the SIM card, I get a series of errors:
The process com.htc.bgp has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
The application Stocks (process....
It'll loop through these errors untill I turn off the phone.
This was using Radio 2.10. I've just changed back to 2.12, which was running fine before, and I'm having the same issues. These started while I was using the Energy winmo rom, and I've tried it with ChunkyRom too (both vers of Android I have too).
Is this likely to be the SD card failing? I did see something about wiping the phone before flashing a new winmo rom, is this worth trying?
Cheers
Well, it looks like it is the SD card.
After a few more tries it's now getting to the HTC Quietly Brilliant screen and looping through the animation...
im guessing your running out of room on the card..
you said it only has 950mb free?
is that before or after the data.img file is created?
I have a problem too with a 8gb sdhc card i get the message failed to mount the sd card... I had formated it but i get the same error...With a 2gb card everything works fine!
It reporting a 2GB card as a 1GB card in windows basically. I've replaced it with a new 8GB card and all seems to be working well!
Hello guys.
I have a HTC HD2 running Windows Phone 7 (on MagLdr 1.2).
I want to DualBoot Android AND WPH. Ive watched a tut on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTHRAUHZHlo
I did exactly the same and after that i took this Android DesireHD Built: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=881937
It worked fine but android said, that there isnt a sd card in the device. Of course it is, cuz android boots from the sd card. When i remove my sd card, android freezes (of course). I tried to restart and i put the 512 MB data.img in the folder but there was the same problem again..
I tried it with an other card and i pushed the button "mount sd card"
and than it said "u can take out the sd card now" (or something like that)
Plz help me!
I am having the exact same problem. Have you found the problem/solution to it.
thanks.
you both update you magldr that should fix your issues.
so get newest radio, than flsh magldr 1.3
before you update make a complete backup!!
hope you both have the right partition layout on sd card.
(first partition must be fat32 second ext3 or ext4)
hope this helps.
for tut look at forums or pm me!!
Can someone describe the exact steps that are required to mount the SD card when the Android build is being run off the SD card using MAGLDR.

They are running Android from their SD card. It is not going to show a SD card being in the device because Android thinks the SD card is the device......

This will not help them at all, MAGLDR just serves as the bootloader for Android not the OS.
Allso you can not remove your SD card will booted into Android if you are using a SD card build it is running of the SD card not NAND.

So basically I cannot mount the SD card, no matter how it is formatted ?
I totally have this same problem. Neither WP7 or Droid will read the 16 GB card I'm using to run Droid. I think I'm using the DesireHD build also, maybe its that? I can probably see if changing it makes a difference.
I have the same problem. First time i installed WP7 and android, everything was working fine. Then i had to reset WP7 because it kept freezing, i followed the same steps again to dual boot with android and it booted fine but SD CARD is not mounted for some reason. I have tried 3 different android builds with same problem. Any help or tutorials?

This happened to me too with two SD cards. What I did was I run the Partition SD Card from AD Recovery. I forgot the partition layout, just find something that works for you. I was surprised that it has successfully created a partition...this erased everything so I needed to re-copy ROM files to SD card via Card Reader on my PC.
When I did it over, It finally worked. Am now running Sensation XL ROM.

Hi all,
I have installed TyphooN 3.2.2 on my htc HD2 phone and works perfect.
When i update to a higher version my SD card does not work anymore. It wants to format it but that also does not work.
It still contains all data so it seems a driver problem or rights. I restored a backup from the same SD card so i am back to b4 i updated.
Its a Sandisk 16Gb SDHC card.
Regards,
Phoenix
I now installed the 3.2.7 update same as be4 and everything is working as it should. Guess there was a problem with the other versions.
Hi,
I just recently installed this on my HTC HD2 SD card with zImage from hastarin kernel r8.6 and it works just fine, but i am unable to install applications to my SD card, although the downloads work fine if i install it after unmounting the SD card, but then i am unable to move the application to SD card, it fails with the error "Failed to move application".
I have tried formatting, partitioning, and searching for smdl2tmp1.asec, nothing seems to be working, although my SD card seems to be working fine.
Any ideas or help will be great!!
That's because you can't move apps to SD on SD builds. You have a 1gb data.img which is read as internal memory. All apps need to be on internal memory (the data.img) in order to work.

Ok, but my AmericanAndroid on SD was working without a Hitch?
hello.
I had no problems with my sd card, until I installed MccMBoxmaX Transformer SS V 7.5.
Everything goes fine, I run wm6 and from the sd card the android, but once android it says sd card damaged. I format the card from the android system and then when I try to mount it from the system it doesn´t recognizes it.
Can anyone help me with this?
The sd card is correct, since it works fine as it reads the android system.
Thank you
Similar problem. Would appreciate some help please.
I am having the same problem. The SD Card works great with WM, WP7, Android MIUI and other non HTC Sense builds but when I install HTC Sense builds, "damaged sd card" message shows up...still searching for solution
In post 2 of the Transformer ROM post is the answer...you need to format your SD with the tool provided there, then reinstall the ROM and you are good to go.

Yes, this worked for me...installed SDFormatter and formated the SD card. However, Do I need to reinstall the ROM? The phone seem to be working fine.
Thanks
Are you running the Transformer ROM now? If so, and its working good, no need to reinstall..although I'm not sure how you can format your card and still have the ROM on it without reinstalling..
