[Q] Hissing noise on the hero - Hero, G2 Touch General

I get a hissing noise whether on headphones or on the hero's speaker when playing any audio. It starts just before the audio/music starts and continues for about 4/5 seconds after the audio/music is stopped.
I was using froydvillian 1.7.2 and now cronos 0.0.9, I think the hissing noise was worse on froydvillain.
Is this related to the rom? or does the hero just have a really ****ty dac?
If you want to try and replicate this, put on headphones, play some music and press pause and you should be able to hear the 4/5 second hiss
Does anyone else have the same problem?

I get this - not sure if it's the phone on the way out :,)

Revolution 3.2 and 3.1 issue, possible fault in the design! EAR LOUDNESS

I have found a possible flaw in the design of the phone that might be possible to fix.
The earphone speaker loudness is crap its not even considered loud or above hearing when im listning to music i can hear everyone talking ect ect
now here is the weird thing see if you answer a call or make a call the music cuts off and you have your chat then once you hang up or they hang up
music will then resume but this time it will be WAY WAY better and Sound better and louder, the way its ment to sound.
now if you pause the music then unpause it goes back to this low sounding music again.
PLEASE can someone fix this as its ruining my music listning though i dunno about the rest of you lol
I'm running 3.1 and having no issues at all with headset volume while listening to music. Tried to pause and unpause, volume stayed the same, nice and loud. FM radio has nice loud volume too.
I have the same strange issue... at first I cleaned my in ear headphones (because on 2.9.11 they were louder)
but at the same day in noticed the sound improvement after ending up a call and was very confused :S
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA Premium App
try an full wipe an install ARVHD 3.2 maybe it fix your issue
it's a known issue in froyo based roms (stock included), gingerbread released is free of it, and you can buy a app from the market "volume boost", that "fix" it...

Headphones Distortion / Background Noise

Hi - just wondering if anyone else noticed some background noise / distortion when using headphones on the tab 7.7.
Happens when playing any sound and continues for 2-3 seconds after it stops. Tested with the stock buds and some replacement buds I picked up a few days ago. With my over the ear headphones I can't hear it though. Easiest way to test is just by playing a movie and pausing it.... there is a hissing noise for a few seconds afterwards.
Maybe related: even with headphones plugged in, notification sounds come out of the speakers - this is my first Android device so I'm not sure if that's normal or not.
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this or if it might be hardware related. Thanks!

Yeah I get that too. Doesn't really bother me though. I mean, it's not like I can still hear it while playing music or anything...
Mine's pretty noticable, even when playing music/videos. Weird that it's totally quiet with my over-the-ear headphones

Personally, I only really notice it if there's a trailing silence from music or videos, but while there's actually sound, I can't detect it.

Crackling sound when using headphone

I know there was a crackling sound problem for the international version of SGS4, but not sure if its the same problem since mine also occurs when mute.
When I use my head phone, I can hear a crackling popping sound when I dont play any music or if there is no sound playing. When I listen to music or phone calls, the audio is fine and there is no problem, however, when there is no sound playing, I can hear this crackling, popping, static sound even when sound is muted.
Biggest problem is that I purchased it off someone so I cant get a replacement. Any suggestions or idea?
Edit: Seems to occur with almost any roms. (Tried a few 4.3 and 4.2.2 roms and still hear it)

Static noise from headphones

So, whenever I play music from my phone or a video on youtube there is this constant static noise in the background. I can still hear the sound perfectly fine but there is this slight buzz in the background. I noticed that when I listen to music or a video on my PC with the same headphones the buzz is gone. The headphones I have are Sennheiser CX300II so they aren't that expensive but I've encountered this problem with a lot of other headphones so I think it's my phone. I'm currently using CM13.0 but I have had this problem on all the previous versions as well. As I said I can still listen to music but the buzz in the background is just annoying, any help/info as to how to solve this (or not if it can't be) will be greatly appreciated!

USB - C Headphones - Hissing on music start/stop?

There is notable static/hissing when listening using USB C headphones (same issue doesn't occur with speakers or bluetooth headphones).
Does anyone else get this issue?
The worst part is, its not constant.
When I am on a youtube video or a call, when the other person stops talking the hissing lasts for 1-2 seconds after they stop talking.
Then when they start talking it comes back.
Its like a constant on again off again kinda thing.
THank you.
