Installing TouchFlo 3D from WM6.5 on WM6.1

Hi everybody.
I'm using the standard HTC ROM (1.14.406.3) and I would like to update my touchflo 3D to the one present inside the Windows Mobile 6.5 without changing my ROM.
Is there a .cab to do that ?

There is no new TFLO3D in WM 6.5.... I'm guessing you saw a custom ROM where someone cooked in the new TFLO3D from the Rhodium.

But it's for VGA only, i'm not sure what res the HD's screen is but i'm sure someone has (or is trying to) port it to that screen res.
Also, in those screenshots, the Diamond 2 is still running WM 6.1 not WM 6.5.

It's not really done from cabs but have a read in the Rom forum

pick one of the roms (read the thread first) and if you have questions check the stickies at the top first

There was a rom ...

If i'm not wrong there was a rom with manila 2.6 or 3.0 (not sure). The rom has a rotatable nice home screen.
I can not find it now. Can anybody help me?

udk had posted the R2 Rom which has manila 2.6 included.
I only know 2.5 and 2.6 manila Roms. (noting newer)
If you can cook, you can download manila files from HTC Leo roms or

there I found also the 2.6 files.
But don't ask me how to cook it in a rom, because I'm also treing to get that files work with the latest rom/sys builds. (I'm a stupid cooker )

yeah you need to activate this option. there are tools like manila rotate or sth

Update manila 2.1 to 2.5/2.6?

i have a TP2 with Windows Mobile 6.5 and Manila 2.1. But i would like to make an Update to version 2.5 or 2.6.
Unfortunaly HTC gives not an official update and i need the original rom cause CoPilot
Can someone give me a cab of version 2.5 or 2.6? If it possible in German

srry so far there is no cab to upgrade with. if you want 2.5 you have to use a cooked rom. htc said they will be gettin a 2.1 to 2.5 upgrade just no time line.

I would use a cooked rom, but its realy hard to find a rom where copilot live is already installed or to find a cab of copilot.
There is an release of copilot on the htc site but there comes always a error if i want to download. "your device is not compatible"

You won't find Sense 2.5 in CAB form
However, this ROM has Sense 2.5 and CoPilot:

[Solved]Problem with sense 2.5 on Xperia X1

Hi I have cooked a rom for kovsky but I have problem with sense 2.5
when sense 2.5 runs it doesn't have the bottom Icon bar and after few second it will crash.
The sense 2.5 files have taken from latest Rhodium shiped Rom and I just Copy The Manila_......... Packages to my Rom
How can I add manila to my rom?

my previous rom was Rhodium 1.82 ported with manila 2.1 with successfuly boot and run and I just remove manila 2.1 then copy sense2.5 packages (manila_core, manila_home, manila_...) to EXT and I didn't change anything else

You also need StartIconLoader package from the sense 2.5

And I think shared_resources and shared_modules etc... as well.

Like the other user said, you need starticon loader for that particular manila version.

2016 Sense is not loading

I have downloaded the 2016 manilla fromftp://rom:[email protected]/Resource/20100618_Manila_2_5_20161332_0_from_Leo_3.04.7z and replaced the old manilla in the Ext folder.
Didn't changed anything else, but when I cook my rom it wont load sense when starting winmo. Any Idea?

you also replaced starticonloader with the one found in the sense 2016 rom?

Not exactly... I only put the new loader into the ext folder but it didn't seem to replace any old loader. Is this the problem? Where should the loader be? In the ext folder?

Touchflo had many other dependicies..... for manila porting u need also oem from that ROM and initflash.dat manila entries....

If adding the other manila dependencies doesn't work:
I also read somewhere that the latest osKitchen doesn't work with manila 2016, I myself was experiencing problems with that combination. I went back to EVK I prefer it though.

I have just managed to get it to work. I left the orgional manila files, in my case 25_19 including the starticon loader and just simply added the 25_2016 manila files and it worked perfectly. Rom complies and boots. Screen allinged properly. It is a bit annoying that you cant remove the older manila packages.
I am currently building oskitchen 1.30 WM 6.5.5 24620 and sense 25_2016

Are you sure its now updated with 2016 version in the software info? This seems like a more of luck than an actuall solution.
Where are the top chefs to answer this for sure?

OS Version - 5.2.24620 (24620.5.3.7)
Manila version - 2.5.20161332.0
Your right should make a difference but nice thing is it allows me to build a new ROM using either WM 6.5 or 6.5.3 very cool. I would like to also know how to strip out the old manila files as like you I get the same result, Sense will not load!!!!!

Thank you, I will try it soon, I just hope it wont be a specific case or a coincidence that it worked.

Yes I would like to know the official way as well. By the way I would suggest not using rom 24620. I am having problems cooking some extra apps into it. I am going back to 23563 as I had much better results before! I am still playing arround with my kitchen build as I have only been doing this for about two weeks now! I will keep you updated. If I get a really stable build running I may post it on XDA as I can see a lot of people are having similar issues!

I had this problem with 2016 i will try that way see how it goes!

Check if the lang folders inside manila pkgs are 0409.

Yes they are, you get 2 folders for each tab - 2 for calender, 2 for weather and such. One is a non 0409 and the other is 0409.

In Manila_Core_2_5_20161332_0 you probably only have the 0404 folder with 2330fc3c_manila in it.
If cooking a WWE rom ( 0409 ) this folder would not be included and your Manila would be screwed.

I have checked my manila files and it contains multiple 040* folders including 0409, but when I strip out all the old manila Sense does not launch. Does any body have a WWE stock rom that has either 2014 or 2016 manila files in it.
This is were I am running into difficulties. I only have ROM WWE 1.66 as it is the latest you can download from HTC site. The big issue is this rom contains manila 2_519211 which is just too old and does not support 6.5.3 upwards. If I could get a hold of a stock rom with either sense 2014 or 2016 cooked in it, that should sort my issues out.

I would appreciate an update as well, I am running into similar difficulties. Seems to be a common issue. I have seen the threads on how to update the windows ver, but cant see the thread on how to update the manila files. If I can get it to work I am going to create a thread for it.

Keep these two things in mind:
1. You can use Manila_Core_2_5_20161332_0 but you need to use the 0409 lang folders from Leo 3.01 and delete the others 040x.
You can find the Leo 3.01 here
2. Replaced your current starticonloader pkg with the one found in the sense 2016 rom as starticonloader must match the manila core.

make sure you use StartIconLoader_2_5_20142625_0
