i bricked my tab tmobile. i was trying to load asia version using odin and selected bootloader update. now the device is black not booting not going to bootloader mode even if i press volume down and power. please please help me.
It will not go into download mode? Unplug it totally and holy down your power and volume down button. See if that will get you into DL mode.
Sorry about you Tab. Do you get anything on screen at all, even the phone ! PC logo ?? If you don't get anything at all then unfortunately you'll need a jtag box or a new motherboard to fix it.

IMO...maybe it called SOD or Screen Of Death and in simple word is "bricked"
But you said thay you can go to download mode right?
If yes...try to flash it one more time with your default firmware.
But if still doesn't work at all, try to contact your local service center...my friend also had the same problem like you and he brought it to Samsung Service Center...

Your phone is not bricked but semi-bricked. It happend with me as well. Just pull the battery out, while inserting the battery keep pressing buttons for download mode. You should see download mode and reflash.

you can try this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Samsung_Galaxy_S_Series#Bricked_Screen let us know if it worked or not
Like I just said to you above...if there is nothing you can do, just bring it to the samsung service center or give it to at&t customer service...end of story (case closed)

I dont live in the US so I cant contact Samsung or ATT
I cant move to Download mode with voldown+home+power, each time I do it i see the ATT logo and the phone reset itself again untill I will stop trying to go to download mode or recovery mode
Are you sure you are doing it right?
Correct order of doing it is:
Take battery off, wait 10 sec, put it back on.
Press vol down
While pressing vol down, press home
While pressing both above, press power and release after it starts.

I think you don't release the power button after the boot. If you push for a long time the power button it reset like the power button of the pc.
Ciao Angelo
I tried applying [110% SAFE] 3-Button Combo FiX for Selected/ALL Firmwares
It failed and now I had a Phone ! PC logo. I can get a USB JIG but will it still boot to download mode? If it does, what should I flash it with? stock 2.1? stock 2.2? Please help!! Am I still able to get into DOWNLOAD mode with JIG?? THANKS!!!
P/S Flash this fix on my friend's i9000 and it worked. No Idea why didnt worked on mine =(
Any help please????
Your bootloader is fine if you get the PC-phone blinking icon. Best bet is to send your phone for warranty.
What was your original OS before flashing, 2.1 or 2.2?
You should flash the full package of whatever OS you were on by using the jig to get to the donwnload mode then flashing with Odin.
I will try to make a USB JIG and get in to download mode. Will flash stock firmware and see. Thanks! So if there's still Phone ! PC icon, bootloader still intact?
I'd you still have download mode, I have found that holding all three buttons and when galaxy logo comes up releasing all it works?
Open Odin. In PDA add a new kernel ie voodoo. Put phone in download and connect to Odin. Press start and in 20 seconds all should be good. Always works for me. Just a kernel file though. No repartition. auto reboot checked. Good luck

The phone has no 3 button combo, that's why I tried applying the 3 button fix but it brick. So I hope as long as it still shows Phone ! PC logo, it's still able to get into download mode using usb JIG.
Yes, the JIG should put the phone in download mode... its a very useful tool so look after it.
then when your in download mode, i personally would flash 2.1 with all 3 files and PIT. also check the re-partition box in odin. and start again good luck.

Ok. Sorry. Some people think they've got no 3 button combo when in fact they only have no recovery.

Bricked Screen
(A.K.A. phone-!-pc or Black Screen of Death)
For reference, this is what a bricked Samsung Galaxy S looks like. To recover from this problem, you'll need to get into the Download Mode.
Black Screen of Death
A fully bricked phone (as shown on the screenshot) will not boot, or display the charging logo when connected to a USB charger. This presently cannot be recovered from any recovery attempt, it will require the phone to be sent back to Samsung and be serviced.
This screen does not always mean your phone is bricked. If you have a hardware locked vibrant, maybe, however, if your phone is not hardware locked, unplug the USB cable from the phone, Hold down Vol UP+Vol Down+Power, the screen will flash black, continue holding down all 3 buttons, you will see the "phone--!--PC" screen again, continue holding all 3 buttons, the screen will flash black again, release the power button only. This will put you into Download Mode.

I think I posted in i9000 forum?? Your method is for vibrant???

making (or maybe buy) a JIG is the way to get back to live the phone, even the screen shows nothing.
i had the same problem , while trying to "unlock " the 3 button combo my galaxy s managed to become a brick , so i made the jig and flashed it again with 2.2
i still lack the 3 button combination but whenever i need to get to donwload/recovery mode i use ADB
easier and safer
good luck mate
@danc00: no phone is dead. i know people with a riff box who give this phone life for only 30€.
you only need a jtag / riff box
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7edUXE7jLg
if you want to send it to germany to give it life again give me a message.
first you should search smbdy who has this box in your country
@kako: if the first and the second bootloaders are damaged only a jtag/riff box can help your phone ah or samsung itself i dunno what they use for it
cheers
Hello guys.
So I just flashed the russian Lollipop firmware that came out for the N900 into my device. I followed all the procedure to the letter (I am really cautious and it's not the first time I've flashed stuff); went to download mode, connected my Note to the cable, added the MD5 to Odin and started flashing. The procedure finished and the phone restarted, but I got a black screen after the "Samsung Galaxy Note 3" screen you get when you start the phone, but that wasn't really the problem since I read that a lot of people got that black screen and solved it by flashing the firmware again. My problem is when I go to download mode (power off the phone then volume down + power + home) I get the "Warning!!" confirmation screen, and then I press Volume up to continue, nothing happens!! Even when I press Volume down (which should get out of download mode and restart the device) nothing happens!
In case you're wondering, I can get with no problem into recovery mode.
Is there a way I can fix this and get into download mode? Maybe a way to get directly into download mode without the confirmation screen (I did read somewhere that holding volume up + volume down while turned off and then connecting the cable to the phone should get it directly into download mode, but that apparently doesn't work for me)
Help would be much appreciated, and sorry for the bad english.
Every time I boot my phone it goes to Android system recovery.
I'm trying to connect my phone with Odin to flash stock rom but I can't get my phone into download mode.
I press power button + VOL down + home button but it doesn't do anything, it just goes straight to recovery.
I should also note that my volume UP button doesn't function anymore.
Is there anything else I can attempt to save my device? Please help!
Thanks!!!
It may be a bootloader problem. Had something similar on another device and flashing the bootloader again helped.
You already gave your answer. Your volume up button is causing the problem. Fix it.
It's not software related.
You can buy a JIG on the web, this is a micro usb whithout a cable connected and cost 2 times nothing.
You shut down the phone put the JIG in the usb port and the device starts up in download mode, handy when you have problems with the volume rockers, like you do.
This works on all Galaxy devices, and everyone with a Galaxy should have this,i have it for years now and i could not whithout it.

Hello.
I own a Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-i9500. I tried to downgrade from Lollipop to KitKat using Odin but I messed up in the process of doing so. Now my phone won’t turn on at all unless plugged into the PC via USB cable. When I plug it in, my PC doesn’t recognize it and an error message with a caution sign flashes on the screen. When I try to go into boot mode (holding the Power button + volume down + home) the menu shows up, but when I try to enter the boot mode it doesn’t respond. The only way I can get into the boot mode is when I remove the battery and immediately press the down volume.
Does anyone know what I can do here? Thank you.

Hi,
Do you mean Download Mode?
Could you try to enter Download Mode with battery removed and flash again your firmware with ODIN? Let me know.

Yeah sorry, I meant download mode.
I've tried that method before but to no avail. My phone is currently at the repair shop, hopefully the pros can find a solution to it.
Thanks for the reply
