*FIXED* So i've been running pda net on this pc for 2 months and today when I come in it decides to not see my phone. So I reinstall and everything goes smoothly until it gets to "installing pdanet to phone" where it just hangs. I tried uninstalling the app on my phone, reinstalling from the market and titanium and still the same thing. Any suggestions? Running the new kernel from the 3.30 leak.
I also tried wired tether and all it does is force close on me
Well I decided to flash Net 4.1.9.1 and everything works again. The new HTC kernel didnt play well with pdanet for me
If the problem exists even with another app then you might have something more serious on your device. I'd backup and factory reset and try again. If it does not fix it then it could be hardware related. Can you connect via ADB? If so, how about adb install app?
I put my phone into recovery and the PC and pdanet recognized it, however being in recovery i couldn't start the app on the phone.
But when booted up I got nothing.

I got pdanet to install and recognize my phone, but now it hangs on connecting.
Android phone and adb all show up in device manager as installed and working. My only guess left is the kernel. I recall reading about a kernel having issues, I don't remember which one though.

I have updated everytime there was an update. I updated to the new rom 6.1.1 on 12/17/10. About a week later I tried to use the USB tether on my laptop and then on my desk top. I could not use it as the computer said the driver is not signed. Or code 10. I'm not a great PC user. How do I fix this or is there a fix for it? I use to use it on the previous rom 6.1.0 with out ever having a problem. I asked a question about this in a different thread and was basically ignored. Both of my computers use XP.
So nobody else has this problem? Or nobody can or wants to which is it cause I have done lots of searching and reading without finding any answer or clue. Thanks
So anyone else that uses USB tethering, please reply and let me know if yours works. If so is there a trick to it?
I've never had any issues. Try doing a full wipe (clear data/cache) and reinstalling the rom.

No issues on Liberated 2.2 with tethering. But still you can use 3rd party apps, like PdaNET.

I've done this three times with no success. Both of my computers still giving the error. (Code 10) driver not digitally signed. I noticed one thing thou that after wiping everything and reinstalling one of the times it would not reboot all the way. Stayed on the Cyanogen mod symbol with the stuff going around it. Every time it tried to load it just bounced back to this screen.

Just about to try PdaNet. In my phone info: Says Android 2.2.1, Kernel Version Is: [email protected] #69 Mod version CyanogenMod-6.1.1-Liberty.
PDA net works. I really wished though that I could use what was already installed on the phone. It worked all the time flawless in the previous ROM.
Just to make sure, don't have your phone plugged in when you are using recovery mode; for some reason if your phone is off and you plug it in via usb it enters an unreliable version of clockwork recovery. Instead choose boot into recovery from the power down options within the rom.

Did you try uninstalling the driver from your computer?
Also, start > control panel > system > hardware > driver signing
what setting do you have currently for driver signing?

My driver signing is set to ignore- Install the software anyway and dont ask for my approval. I dont really know how the settings in both computer would have changed. Unless when I installed a printer it automatically changed them. Cause besides the new ROM it is the only thing Ive changed. Also I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and deleting the tether and downloading and reinstalling with the same every time.
On top of that now my phone is rebooting it self. Today while checking cl. it just flashed to the begining cyanogen screen. What's going on? What should I do Now?
I tried to reinstall the ROM again, cleared everything. I noticed while Wiping Dalvik Cache it just jumped back to the previous screen. It didnt show that it was wiping or anything. I reinstalled and apparently everything was not wiped because when my phone Rebooted. It took me through the setup screens like a new phone but when the screen poped up. My wallpaper was still there. Can someone help me? Im really getting sick of trying to get this to work now It seems as I have more problems now.

Does the computer you're trying to use the tether on have wireless capabilities?
One of them does and the other does not. Both run xp though. Wiped again, wiping everything twice before flashing the ROM. I have not had any self reboot so far, and everything seems to be working ok. I have not got around to trying the usb tether yet though. Maybe a little later today.
I have 2 HD2s and I installed Typhoon CM7 on it. The first HD2 was fine and was able to download apps from the market. The second one will not download anything from the market. Just says Starting Download and does nothing. I've tried reflashing, starting over from the beginning with Task29. Nothing seems to work. Any ideas on what I can do?
Hello folks,
After the market on my computer stopped recognizing the nook - so no more choosing apk on market and downloading later on on the nook.
But yesterday (Oct. 22nd), the market stopped working. Whenever I click on it, it shows a screen with "loading" written on it and a thingy spinning, and it goes on forever and never works.
I've upgraded to vending.apk and market2.3.4.apk, downgraded back and forth several times and nothing. The only thing I've got from market was the licence screen, and loading again and again.
I've searched /data/data and data/dalvik-cache for anything market related, but nothing showed up.
Can anyone please help? Pleeeez?

I have a similar problem. In my case the market app loads as it should, but the marketplace does not "see" my Nook anymore. It only sees my HTC HD2 with AmericanAndroid on it. Before it did also see my Nook as "PHone" and there was the option to load compatible apps onto the device.
And I also remember that I saw a post with a possible solution, but I can't find it anymore...
Well, at least sideloading is working... until now.

try install this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18150271&postcount=296
this work for me
Bad thing is that this version is the one I'm using now, and still doesn't work, as does the original market (from touchnooter 1.6.24) and the 2.3.4 version. So no market so far.
Maybe resetting and rerooting would work? Any experience on the subject?
Im a dumb kid and i dont know what im doing but i rooted my phone and everything was working fine but now for some reason i cant install any apps from the play store or any apks ive tried clearing the caches and even a factory reset but nothing will work someone please help me
Need more information but as it's stated it would appear that certain play store apps do not like rooted phones. See link below http://www.androidauthority.com/google-play-store-apps-download-block-root-users-773824/
Nothing works
But i cant install any apks either. I have the outside sources enable but no matter what app i use it says the package is corrupted.
Try to flash the stock firmware using the Lg bridge app and try repairing a failed update. The phone will have the stock firmware without root but with the unlocked bootloader. It can solve some software problems during update sometimes.
