I'm trying to get my Chinese contacts sorted in blur. I've deodexed the ROM with xUltimate-v2.2.2, baksmalied BlurContacts.apk and com.motorola.blur.library.utilities.jar, and figured out how to change the smali code.
After I smalied and substituted the classes.dex, I signed BlurContacts.apk with testkey, but the apk did not work when pushed back. So I guess these Blur apks need special treatment, I've searched the forum but got no clue. Could any one please help me?

Does anyone know the name of the blur launcher and where by chance it is located, I have been looking around on the rom and cant seem to find it.

any chance you know the location of the lockscreen apk?
The lockscreen is part of the framework-res.apk in /system/framework

File pulled from firmware version 2.3.7a MIUI, so I simply have not found such a emended. For official firmware it is, but for MIUI - no.

try to edit the mms.apk as described in this thread and see if it works..it should anyway. keep a backup of the original apk!

I'm diving in Android "developement" for the first time.
I am trying, for a private project, to modify slightly the dimension of the emojis displayed in the chat, which are WAY too small, and make them bigger.
I already managed to decompile and recompile and sign without errors the official apk and apply little mods (some emoji changed, some text changed).
I've looked pretty much everywhere in the decompiled xml files, still i don't understand well the smali files.
