hello!
does anyone can help ?
after trying to upgreade radio rom , it respring/reload and stock on this screen
I have no idea how can I help stand up my phone on foot
This message was deleted by its author
if you look at the picture, it is actually unlocked. there is a picture of an open lock there. anyways... go into recovery, wipe data(factory reset) the phone, then reupdate the rom.
I find this a tad bit amusing.

youre in fastboot and it shows that you already unlocked the bootloader. just flash amon ra recovery v1.5.3 then whichever rom you want. be aware that you might also have to flash the google apps add-on with some roms.
there is a thread here on xda for beginers. i suggest you start posting there. this is a developement section. this thread will also probably be closed shortly.

Pretty sure you just need to run the .bat file from Windows and it automatically unlocks the bootloader and roots the phone. Correct me if I'm wrong on the last part of my sentence, but I know you can't flash a bat file on your phone.

lmao... thats because some of us did research and studied everything that was needed before doing it, so if there was an issue it was serious
LOL i never rooted an android, my nexus is my first android. im not thinking rooting. but i glanced at the tutorials before and even I know that screen shot means you have a unlocked bootloader

I ve read that those replacement new vibrants with hardware keys disabled wont get in to download mode once you are stuck on that computer and the phone icon screen. There is no way to get out of it am i right?
anyone?....
I replaced my phone because of that and I couldn't get it back to download mode.

I guess you just answered your own question.
Really, though, this question has been answered a hundred times on this very forum. Maybe people are tired of new threads popping up constantly asking other people to take time to do research for people that obviously can't be bothered to do it for themselves. Search first, then ask if you can't find an answer...preferably in a relevant existing thread instead of creating 10 new ones. The other users of this forum aren't here to be your free research monkeys.
...and again, insulting people isn't going to make them want to help you. If you want people to be friendly and considerate you need to give that back...it's a 2-way street. Nobody here is being paid.
*prepares to be flamed by the OP...again*
If you have root then you can use adb to get into download mode by typing "reboot download mode", if you don't have root then you can't use adb.

are you retarded???
you obviously share the same sickness as the OP "cantgoogleshitaphobia"
you can too use adb without root, how do you think people locked out of hardware recovery are even getting rooted in the first place? (and dont say one click root cause if you knew anything then youd also know that program uses adb as well)
the only thing you have to do to get adb to work is turn on usb debugging and have good drivers installed.
to the OP just cause you ask a question dont mean crap, you dont come in demanding a response to a question that has been answered time and time again in this very forum. I usually find posts like these and still help out with a link if its already on my subscribe list but your just an ass for the way youve gone about it, sorry not everyone works within your mighty time frame

If your phone is on the phone != computer screen and you can't enter download mode via the volume keys - you're bricked. You can't fix it unless you can enter download mode, and some versions of the phone you can't enter download or recovery modes via any keypresses. Since you're on the phone != computer screen, you also can't connect to the phone with ADB - so you're boned like a few other people here.
See this other thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=764360
And this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=771247
And next time, be patient and don't act like a **** when people don't reply. Not everyone knows your particular situation or can give you a solution on a silver platter.
The irony in this is that the junior member has better forum manners than the senior member. Just thought i would point that out. lol

ok thanks. i was just frustrated and nervous but tmobile is sending me another one. this phone was on vibrant rom and rooted if they find out is there going to be a issue? i am thinking that only way to get back is flashing stock odin again and once they do that it wont be rooted again. so i should be good. what do you think.
Yes should flash the original rom cuz if Tmo find out they are going to make u paid the original price of the phone not the discount or insurance price either. Reason I know cuz I know several people that work with Tmo corporate store not affiliate stores.

I am fairly new here but how can you flash with odin if you can't get in DL mode? And if you could flash stock, why didn't you in the first place and start over? Just tossing out some ideas.

IF you had got the point you would have done your research there and then instead of asking another question.
how do you put the myt4G in to recovery mode?
Wow not to be rude but did you try the search button......hold down the power button and the volume down button at the same time while the phone is off. The select recovery
Sent from my icy cold glacier freezing every phone in its path

but now i realized its the vol button i was looking at the myt3G recovery...thank you.

You have to have fastboot unselected before it will work. I'm looking into rooting my wife's mt4g, and that took me forever to figure out.
I have a vibrant, so I'm new around these parts. Still doing my research before taking the plunge.
lol! wow thanks i wouldve never figured that out hah! yea well this is very helpful here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=858996 hoping that you know how to use ADB of course =) now i am ready to root !
OH! btw how do you get off recovery mode ? do u just pull the batt out?

Please use the term quick boot when referring to the reboot option that does not fully restart the phone.
Use 'fastboot' to refer to the low level utility / protocol that allows image (ROM,etc) flashing via USB

No problem (clicky the thanks button ). I was actually leaning toward this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=834225. I'm still trying to determine the difference between it and the one you linked. The main purpose will not be really to flash any roms (she likes the stock), but to resolve some minor issues she has w/ her device. For example, her market fc's every time it updates - it's getting old to have to uninstall updates before she can even access the market. So I'm wanting to root so I can use TB to freeze the market updater.

Aha...see this is the stuff I need to learn - I simply used that term b/c it's what was in the reboot option. So it sounds like "fastboot" is the same as Downloading mode on my vibrant, correct? In other words, roms can be flashed via either clockwork or a usb connection to a computer while the device is in fastboot...?
I need to find a tutorial that explains the basics for the mt4g. It's a pretty different animal than my vibrant. I'm creating my own flashable mods for my vibrant, yet I pick up my wife's mt4g and I'm back to square one. Fruustratting!
If you already flashed it, Power Off > Hold Vol Down + Power until booted > Vol Down to recovery and select

Hello,
I installed chainfire 3D ( Yes I know I should have read that jelly bean was no compatible) and am now stuck on the boot screen of my phone. I have got the factory hard reset menu up but don't know what to do apart from that. I have checked on other threads and they are all really confusing for a person that is new to android. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also can I just permanently erase user data or will this brick my phone?

If you had cwm you can use adb to remove the .apk via recovery.. twrp even made it easier by having a file explorer inside the recovery..
But if you haven't installed them both i'm afraid you're out of luck..

Recovering your phone at this point wont help you at all my friend :/ you have officially bricked your phone sadly this is beyond my level of expertise in the smartphone world i would take it to a local rooting/roming buisiness on craigslist or i think cricket will do it... call them up and let them know your problem detail for detail they will probobly tell you you soft bricked your phone there is a slight chance they may be able to fix it for 15-50 dollars depending on how bad it is
Can you still get into TWRP or CWM recovery?
If so then you can probably still use an adb interface to push a ROM.zip file to your phone to flash. If you cant then Im not sure how you would go about fixing because we do not have an unlocked bootloader so I do not think you will be able to use fastboot commands to flash a ROM. Maybe someone more knowledgable in this can help you out better than I.
same thing with me
Dude the same thing had happened to me on my gionee p3 and i tried everything but u have to just take it to the service centre and i got mine done for free as i had a warranty but if u dont u will have to pay and also this happens when u download **** things that take the main startup programs of ur phone
.....so best of luck

Sorry should have added this is during the boot up stage..here is a copy & paste I keep handy:
While the device is powered off, press and hold Vol - and Power button. When you see the LG logo quickly release only the power button and re-press and hold the power button (Never let go of the Vol - button) This will boot you into the LG Factory reset screen. ONLY USE THIS METHOD IF YOU HAVE TWRP INSTALLED!!!!! OTHERWISE YOU WILL FACTORY RESET YOUR DEVICE!!!!! Choose yes to both options and you will be rebooted into TWRP. TWRP intercepts this command and ignores the factory reset part.

When you state follow this guide ( i have to say the LG dev community is kinda of rude and does not even explain anything to new comers from other devices...) Do you mean i need to follow every step or some steps this is why i say the LG Dev community is all over the place nothing is set in stone there is not one way to do like most Samsung users are used to. I would hope that you could elaborate a little more if you are offering to help.
I am not trying to be a jerk i'm just use to nicer dev community. I have done dev work... I have not had any other device besides Samsung for the longest time and i and will be switching back once the S8 or note 8 comes out.
To get me but i would like to root this device and i would like more then a point here to do it because you don't have some time to explain what needs to be done....
Again i am not trying to be rude just trying to learn the process on the LG dev side... Do not want to brick my device if i can prevent it.
