There's still quite a bit to sort out on the cm7 wimax/kernel(s). Shouldn't be too long but you'd be better off reading/following the thread in Dev vs. posting here.
PS. The cm6/7 wimax thread is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=902051

[Q] Miui and 4g

Hello all, has anyone found out if any versions of Miui roms support sprints 4g network? I'm running Miui 12.3 on my evo and i love it...would be great to experience some 4g sppeed on it if possible.... just wondering I've searched all over the forum and i havent read anything saying that it does not. maybe i missed something? Thanks for any info on this.
No, probably won't till cm has it.

Yup what he said once cyanogen makes the code you can get 4g mean while wait

so now that cyanogen mod roms have 4g (alpha release) does this mean that Miui will have it too?

No, not until a stable release is out most likely.

MIUI and 4g

Does MIUI support 4g know that there is stable Cyanogen release for the Evo 4g?
MIUI doesn't have 4G still.
In the thread for MIUI here on xda, in the OP it says that there's no 4G. In anything MIUI/Evo related it will tell you that. But I guess it's easier to start a new thread.
MIUI for the Evo is a port, the original rom is Chinese. There isn't 4G in China, and the rom is not open-source, so the developers that port it to the Evo cannot just add it in. They've said they're working on it, but as you can imagine adding wimax to a rom without the source is extremely difficult.

[INFO] [NS4G] CyanogenMod 7 KANGS

I have been flashing kangs rather than offical nightlies for a long time
so I decided to start a thread for kangs ONLY
But i only have NS, but i will still make a thread for NS4G
Why Kang? Because there are features that are awaiting approval to get put into cm7, that get included into kangs. they are the "cherry picks". its like a preview of a future cm feature. also, stuff like boot animation or other goodies get added. @simms22
*go to the end of the thread and start digging backwards for the latest kang
NOTE: A kang is an unofficial nightly that someone with a spare computer builds from CM's github. It is NOT AN OFFICIAL NIGHTLY AND ONLY THOSE WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING SHOULD FLASH THEM.

NS4G latest kang
Thanks @djn541
cherry picks in latest build:
* Custom Boot Animation from @rascarlo
* Profiles- Add the Ability to override connections
* Disable render effect for screenshots
* Ring Style Lockscreen
sweet, now the NS4G can share in the cm7 kang goodness, thanks to @djn541(DJ Nourse)

Can someone PLEASE explain the differences between the cm releases? I know nightlies is a build worked on and released everynight. So which is the stable official release? Sorry if its off topic.

This might help explain a little:
This is the changelog for the cm nightlies (for our phone, crespo4g = ns4g)
http://cm-nightlies.appspot.com/?device=crespo4g
You can click on each of the changes and see the commits.
There was a release candidate (RC1) on June 27
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=crespo4g&type=RC
--which wouldn't include any of the things added in all of the nightlies since then.
Stability of the nightlies has been fine for me-- I just check the nightlies thread before flashing to make sure noone's reporting that their phone exploded.

The development section is only for developers. This thread doesn't belong in this section (and if I were to be particularly snarky, I'd say it is just another unnecessary ICS thread).

I meant that threads should only be created in the development section to showcase a developers work. This thread doesn't fit that description and therefore doesn't belong within this section.

Have you actually looked? I mean...if you can be bothered to figure out how to root your phone, surely you can quickly peruse the Nexus S forums for the tons of information on the ICS roms currently available.
The NS4G really only has one option right now, and that's kwiboo's rom.

Thread already moved, but how did you post in the development when you have 8 posts?
Koush has a rom, no 4g yet, also has a twitter with less ICS related posts
Drew Garen has a rom, for NS3g, drewgaren.com (his also includes soft buttons)
beezy kickstarted it all with this rom over at androidcentral only for the 4g
kwiboo has version 2 out. nexus s 3g and 4g supported, reported wifi issues when wifi disconnects, it's recomended to use v1 for now. v2 has updated music app with some hardware acceleration

if you have the ns4g you need to download the port of his rom in the nexus s 4g forum. The non port is ns3g only. And at the same time I urge you to try aosp's ics rom, it is more complete mms works, GPS, etc just don't expect to find 4g working on any ics rom at the moment.
