Has anyone been able to install this on an android HD2? I'm wondering why I can't find it on the market when I search for it. I've even gone to the real.com website and scanned the barcode for it but no luck. I even had a link emailed to me but it just won't show up. I'm using the cyanogen 7 2.4 band rom and my carrier is simple mobile. If anybody has an insight into this please let me know.
Thanks loads...
Have Fun...
Pls give Feedback!
I found it on rapidshare shortly after posting. I didn't realize that my poor video streaming performance was due to throttling on Simple Mobile.

maybe if you logged in proper... in the URL is the usernameassword combination - your browser may not support that URL schema or supports it but refuses to work with it. Try a dedicated FTP client if that may be the case.
wow!!!
yesss i got it !
and.. btw, it's PDF file (acrobat reader). I tried to copy it to my wizard, but i don't have the acrobat reader. I installed Acrobat reader 2 from adobe.com, but it won't open. Any suggestion for acrobat reader on PPC ?mine is XDA Mini S with WM5.
Thanks.
I don't think that file would open in a PPC acrobat reader - it's fairly large (heavy on images). That said, try:

Was kind of wondering that myself.
Interestingly in the trouble shooting section It states that using an SD card will reduce the battery life.
I'm a little late hopping in on this thread...

It installs fine but when i try to run it briefly flashes the connecting page the goes to error "sorry youtube only works on phones with larger screens"
i hope someone can get this to work it looks like a good switch from tcpmp thanks in advance

50 views and not one reply? This app looks that hard to get working? Well i would like if someone felt like helpin... But maybe its too hard for even those great devs
i am no developer , but if all u want is watching youtube videos on your PoketPC try searching Google for vTap

thanks the0ne and ather90 for your replies... but this thread is obviously going nowhere so at least how do you close a thread? Or is this done by site managers if so i request u close the thread so it doesnt waste space.

Isn't coreplayer shareware? this is free from youtube and doesn't require a browser to be open jus the app, thats my prob wit tcpmp is it only works with PIE i use netfront wich isnt compatible this app would bypass my need to open PIE by jus opening the app and search.
Summary of post: Is there a way for me to get the HTC Youtube application to work on Schnap's Windows Mobile 6? The videos load, but an error always comes up saying the video can't play.
Full post:
So here's my situation: I recently caved and got media max unlimited for the Hermes so that I could fully enjoy it. One of the biggest reasons for me finally getting it was the ability to watch TV online and, of course, Youtube.
Unfortunately, I was unable to get the TCPMP flash trick to work correctly, but I was happy to find that 'Youtubeplay 1.0.0.11' was able to work perfectly fine. However, while I thank God to whomever developed it and don't want to seem ungrateful, I'm admittedly a bit disappointing by how it only shows five entries for each search, and the lack of screen real estate usage.
Recently, however, I just discovered the HTC Youtube application (yes, I suppose I'm a bit behind everyone else), and it was epically awesome. Only problem is that I can't get it to work properly on Schnap's Windows Mobile 6. The video would load, but then an error appears. From what I gathered on searching through the forums, people say that I would need to get a ROM with the HTC Youtube application cooked in for it to work?
I'm somewhat attached to Schnap's WM6, however, so I'm hoping someone could provide a way for me to get it to work on it? I'm willing to try just about anything.
Thank you in advance.
Nevermind, I was able to get it to work with big thanks going to the people here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=395338&page=18
For anyone who wishes to know, in order to get the HTC Youtube app to work on your favorite OS, just install the HTC Youtube app and the ravest Youtube fix. I tested it myself on Schnap's WM6 Pro 4.31 and it works awesomely.
To anyone who wishes to download either:
1) HTC Youtube App - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=472940
2) Ravest Youtube Fix - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZGQJ3H0R
Hope the best for all!
found this on youtube, it comes from pocketnow.com (sorry if it's been posted before but I havent seen it.
It also explains how to forward ports on your router which has been suggested as the reason some of us are unable to get BBC iplayer to work. (i've not tried that yet - but if someone does then please for the love of god hit reply and let us know if it worked)
Not sure if I'm allowed to or am able to embed the video, so I'll just post the link. This helped me so it's bound to help some other people too.

ace! thanks - was wondering how to set that up!
There have been a number of threads on here about youtube not being on the t mobile version, and a few suggestions of where you can get an app. But these all seem to stop videos that you have taken from being played back. This has been mentioned elsewhere already, but with no solution.
Has anyone managed to resolve this issue yet ??
thanks in advance for any help.
......... Just to add, the phone is fantastic !!
Most people I know have flashed the "generic" ROM in their respective language, no more T-Mobile tweaks like this...
The "XMas Goldcard" solution makes it possible... can be found here at xda.
