Just wanted to drop a quick note and say thank you! I have been reading on XDA for about a month but have not made a post till now. I am new to the Android community and am amazed what can all be done with these devices. Not having much experience in this area I was quite nervous about tampering with my phone. I searched read and searched again and now I am very happy with my phone. I am now rooted, DJ05, Voodoo, and JT's superclean. Just last night I even figured out ADB and put the clockpackage.apk back into the rom (for some reason I like the stock one). I am not bragging by any means, I'm sure most of you can do this while you eat your breakfast. I am just pointing out the great help you have been.
I am still very much a noob but I love to figure things out! Thanks again!!
I will echo this thanks - I have been a lurker and very sporadic poster for a few years now and this site along with a few others have kept me from going crazy. THANKS ALL

I'm very new to modding my G1, and this site was an enormous help. By reading around, I kinda got the feeling that some of the vets were getting annoyed by the hand holding they were being asked to do by alot of the newcomers. Also, by reading a few posts, I was able to root my G1, install a custom theme, and update my radio and all that manually. I'm happy to say this is my first post, and ikt's not a stupid question (maybe a frivolous thank you??). Thank everyone that contributes to this site. You guys are awesome.
As I've done before, I thank you for actually doing it yourself and not asking to be spoon fed and having your hand held as you said. Hope to have you around here for awhile. If you ever run into any problems PM me and I would be glad to help, if I can.
Yes sir...
To Team EDT, TW, and all the independent devs out there. I've been a lurker on these boards for months now, learning and reading. I've rooted, flashed and odin'd just about everything that's been offered. You are doing fantastic work and I just wanted to say thank you. Wish I could have hit the thanks button a few times, but evidently I haven"t posted enough yet. Thanks again!

Nice post ...... nice to see
Well said.
I had never attempted any form of modification to any of my phones. Not my G1 or this. I finally got the bug, and by just following the AMAZING posts from the devs, I've rooted, rom'd, and kernel'd my phone with NO issues and loving every minute of it.
So, i just wanted to post real quick in the appropriate place (i think) i quick shout out at the people who helped (helping) us when no one else wanted to (or stayed with )
So, from the bottom of all of our hearts, thank you *Imnuts* and *Adrynalyne* for accepting this challenge of making our phones... awesome... lol
And thank you DroidXCon for donating your continuums
[[[This was originally a post asking for help, because i was messing too much (again ) with kernels... But i fixed it, and had no better ideas to do with this thread lol]]]
Thanks , and glad you got your problem fixed.
i agree with trailblazer101. thank you to those who have worked so hard on making the continuum awesome.
I have tried about 89% of the roms listed. This is my first post here though; and I wanted to say thank you to all the devs for everything they have done. My evo has been on overdrive. It's been very enjoyable trying all the roms. I have to say so far my fav's are Miui (not the latest), cm6/7, all of Myns, Mikfroyo, and Virus, my god, kicks for sense. I have been 10 minutes away from running my evo over with my truck at least 3 times and only been able to fix it because of XDA and its users. So thank you all, and whats up, im Frank!
welcome to xda.... watch out for the sharks & wolfs!
thanks man, my first post but ive been here reading for a while. i really just want to get enough posts to help people and join in on the development forums, so i guess i need to give 8 more opinions after this. thanks for the warning, im not really worried about any one on the computer. but i'll keep an eye out for those virtual sharks just in case bro thanks again for the welcome.
Welcome to the posting world! Took me a while too.

Frank, I can vouch for being close to running over my EVO at least 3-4 times. However, the great folks on Myn's thread got me through it each and every time that I thought I had borked my EVO. It has been a steep learning curve for me but I can finally say my confidence level is much better.

yea bro. Its been a blast to have a new phone every 2 weeks. Thank god there are people on XDA to help us figure things out when we buck em beyond our abilities! Ive been lucky to find things that others have posted by installing roms that have been around for awhile. Now im ready to push it a bit and really get into the grit possibly learn to make my own as well; time permitting. you guys have all been a great help though just so know you! thanks for your post. and again thanks to the Devs that make it possible. those guys are really kicking some tail and still dealing with everyone's issues!
I dont know about you guys, but i was always taught to say thank you when someone does something for you which is helpful.
So thanks, to everyone who has made a modded ROM, posted a guide, splashscreen answered questions or generally dumped their hard learned knowledge onto the great section of the forum.
I was a mere noob, plodding around with WM6.5 and everything else stock on my HD2, and was thinking about dumping it and buying something new, then i started reading about android on it, and that lead me here and now i have a modded rom, splashscreen and i wont be buying a new phone until this bad boy either bricks or something better comes out.
Special thanks to whoever wrote/figured out about the whole Task29 thing. You sir are a fecking legend and deserve a serious pat on the back. As soon as i sort out my paypal account, you will be receiving some wedge for a beer from me.
Special thanks to the person who coded and compiled the Nexus Gingerbread ROM, so damned stable its untrue.
So, yeah, gushing aside, i've learned a lot in the past few weeks because of this forum, and i feel much better for it, so thank you. Sincerely, thank you.

Have you clicked "thanks button" in all their threads?
Obviously, i also thought a more personal touch would be appreciated.
