Because we have faster phones, with larger screens and more memory and better camera with android 2.3
I orderd a Blade from swedish Tele2 yesterday but I'm planning to use my current SIM-card which is from Telia (the phone is not bound to Tele2). Does that mean that I also get the 2.2 update from Telia?
I have sent an email with question about update to telia and the replied that they don't know when and if they will release it. :-( let'S HOPE THEY WILL

Probably Froyo is not available YET for our country.
Lets hope there will be some good news for ASIAN folks sooner, hopefully by September!

I love how you post this and give no information about what network you're on or country you're in. Are you sure it's Froyo? There was a different update a while back which was just a kernel update and only some countries got it.
i think its not froyo, it must be latest eclair update

To be fair it was Froyo, though I have a phone that wan't networked locked when I bought it and was (still am) on UK vodaphone at the time. Actually it came with eclaire installed anyway, just a shame I can't run gingerbread.

Yeah its Froyo alright, a true release would be better then trying to fix the issues with the Chinese (like adding social network apps)

Ive installed Wildpuzzle ROM with FroYo 2.2 and it seems to work fine. =)
I was wondering what the most stable, efficient, firmware release was. I am sure it will come with 1.6 and I want to at a minimum have 2.1.

Ive got mine a week ago come with 2.1. everything work a OK. luv the phone. have update the sms and browser... not as polish as iphone 4 (my other phone)... but luv to fiddle wt it.

With the new update or with the old one + JIT?
The 2.1 update and the version of jit I used had a file that I put on the phone called jit_toggle1.0 if I remember correctly. Is there a higher version of jit out there,?

Your best bet is to look in the forum that is set for your phone.
HTC says via Facebook that the Roll Out of the Gingerbread Update starts tomorrow in Germany!

Would I be correct in asying that even though my phone is currently rooted and running CM7 I could flash to this and unroot so I could send my phone back for a warrenty if I needed it?
Or do they release them only as upgrades and thus there is now no going back as I wouldn't be able to upgrade without the orginal.
Also I need an orange one for warrenty as my phone is meant to be orange locked.

You just need a sense rom and stock boot splash/animation. The people in the phone store are retarded.

They are not retarded just that it is not their job to find out whether the phone have customed rom,etc. To them, they gain nothing from investigating the phone for mods.

it started today in romania dhd bought from orange romania
I think too that people in stores don't know nothing about hacked/rooted or customised roms......i was in my carrier store 2 days before and asked about 2.3 update and that carrier phones get update later than unbrended phones,and they looked at me like I fell from mars,they didn't know what hit them......anyways back to the topic if anyone gets 2.3 please post the news.
