I rooted my 1st myTouch 4G but I had to get another one and I'm having problems rooting this one I was doing the same methods on Youtube but they will not work! I get the Superuser Icon in my Apps but S-On WHAT TO DO?! PLEASE HELP!

Before you guys start giving me crap(lOl), I did read a bunch of posts and looked around but couldn't find a straight answer
Is there a way to root a HTC MyTouch 3g with a 32B motherboard, that's already been updated to 2.21 OTA
I saw a bunch of posts where it specifically says, "This does not work on 2.21 devices"
I just got this phone, I'm used to working on a vibrant so I'm a bit lost

yes you can root your phone even with OTA 2.2.1 for T-Mobile MyTouch 3G 32B

i need some help or clarification.
i just bought my dad a mytouch 3g. and i tried to root it to install setCPU.
its a SHAPPIRE PVT 32A SHIPS S-ON G
HBOOT 1.33.0013
RADIO 2.22.28.25
running stock froyo.
i used the superoneclick root app (v1.9.1) to root the phone. it says thats its rooted. i have the super user icon on the drawer. i can enable non market apps from the app itself. but at the end, when the app asks you to run a test. the test fails.
when i launch setCPU it says i could not find root access.
what am i missing?
any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

i just un rooted my evo today to take it in for a speaker replacement and now when i run revolutionary it says im already s-off but in bootloader it says s-on . Please help :/
Have you tried installing a PC36IMG of a recovery? If it installs and you can get into the new recovery then you are golden.

The Super One Click method ... says the Device is Already Rooted.........I have the Pirate Android Super User Installed on the Phone......but just cant Install the Custom Recovery or Anything Else !!!!!!!
I downloaded the Rom Manager from Market and tried Installing the CW Recovery....and it says Super User not Found !!!!
I tried Installing Titanium Backup....it says the Device is not Rooted !!!!!!
its become more of a PAINFUL CHALLENGE !!!!
Any advise or suggestion ??? Anything is welcome to Help me out of the mess !!!!
(wish rooting this damn phone was as easy as rooting my DHD )

Install the app super user and try again. For rooting maybe try universal androot.

TRIED.......reinstalling SU......even upgraded it from market......
tried Universal Androot.....NAH.......
its become a pain...
I remem I had this issue as well try making it mount the memory card while u are doing onclick root method.you should see at the end of the procesd a promt to donate if u don't see that you and I had the same issue try re downloading program and mem mounted and not mounted...

Hi, this is because you have to install su.zip from the recovery. Did you change original recovey?
You need install fastboot & adb drivers on your pc, the best tutorial you can found in wiki or google putting recovery mytouch. You need to know if our mytouch is 32A or 32B this is very important...
I have a htc My touch 4g. In bootloader mode it says locked.
Glacier pvt ship s-off. Hboot-0.90.0000. Micro p 0429.radio 26.13.04.19. My emmc is, m4g2de. am running android 2.3.4. i just bought this phone so My questiOn is what method shold i use for rooting? Please help me,out . Thanks.

It's strange, my bootloader says S=OFF but Visionary tells me I'm not rooted?
