We have a lot of size options when recording but I only see option to record in 3gp format? Or am I missing something?
Edit: Plus the PDF from T-Mobile does not have an HD option listed on there...
Hey I up this one,
i'm also wondering if it is possible to record in some other format than 3gp, like they can on the DHD for instance.
Reading 3gp is a pain, i can't plug my phone to my TV to watch a video I recorded, and it's hardly watchable on a random computer without installing an other player.
Nope, that's the only format that the camera is capable of recording to on official ROMs. Not sure about custom ROMs though. I wish I could record in WMV, AVI or MP4.

Virtuous unity is mp4 720p max.
Apparently virtuous doubleshot is mp4 1080p for the Z. No lag if you OC @ 1.7-2.0 ghz!
Eww that much OC is not necessary for me, neither I need to record 1080p.
But that's a good news !
I will switch to Unity then thanks !

Be careful here, apparently, of what a member told me, its a 1080p upscaling method. The hardware is the limitation.
Yup, it is a hardware limitation. The sensor just can't record 1080p.

It's ok, I'm currently using Virtuous Unity, and it records in 720P .mp4.
The mp4 part was the most important for me, as I can now plug and watch on my tv.

I just realized that the ROM I'm running on, meXdroidRom actually records in MP4! In the m4v container~
What would the best application and settings be to encode a movie for playback on the Nexus S?

I use DVDfab for my ripping and encoding needs for any device
What resolution/codec etc.. I'd like to convert to a file that will look good and play well with the default supported codecs.
Doesn't Gingerbread support a couple new codecs?
today th enew flash has been optimized for dual core phones, great!
but on webtop, the firefox is using some default flash ofcourse right? Since I cant udpate the flash by any means possible online. And im sure the firefox browser isnt using the flash player installed for android
Any idea on how to update the flash, or does the one installed already fully support the dual core tegra
i just ask because flash vids are choppy (nba.com)
youtube (720p)
720p is known to be bad on mobile flash. Adobe has specifically stated it as something they are working on.

Using Firefox and try to run Youtube video at 720p on webtop is very choppy and audio is out-of-sync.
Anyone knows some good video tutorials to learn how to develop apps for Android?

Anyone know of a DTS codec that will work on the Nexus 4? I know that there are a few for other GPUs ex. Neon Tegra2. Any that will work with the Adreno 320? Or am I missing something?
Thanks!

There is a dts codec that you can download for dice and mx player.
Not related, but it got me thinking.. Any chance XBMC for Android or another player would be able to passthrough Dolby/DTS over Slimport?
