Nexus One Sleeve Trick :) Now with pics

Ok, so I am using the original sleeve that came with the phone, which protect it well enough to my mind.
Some stuff were pissing me off though, like having to take the phone out of it to check for new notifications, or the fact that the sound (notifications/ringtones) was attenuated a lot by it. So much in fact that even at max volume, I missed a couple of calls.
So I did cut a round area where the trackball is located, which allows me to see if I have new notifications without getting the phone out of it.
I also cut it where the speaker output is located. Now I can finally hear my phone ringing, in its sleeve, in my pocket.
Did cut it with normal scissors and burned the edges (to avoid the holes to grow) with a lighter.
It is a dumb trick, but improved a lot my overall experience, so I just wanted to share it here
I ll try to post pics later on, as I am at work right now and cannot do it.

I'm not sure what I think of the new look yet...I still hate the colors, but the design is much smoother.

iOS Rom

I came across this thread (below), and I'm trying to see if its at all possible for one of our devs to translate and port this to our Evos. That would be awesome.

Miui is basically that plus some from what I remember. Give it a shot. Someone some time ago actually made an iOS ish Rom. Think it was on HTC hero. It wasn't that popular.

As it turns out, I'm Running MIUI right now. I just came across it an hour ago. What I like is that it has the "search" feature if you go to the leftmost screen. Try out the launcher on the thread and tell me what you think.

I just don't understand the want for this. I have used every single iPhone and haven't seen any progress with the crappyness of the OS. I can't imagine why anyone would even want to use this. Even completey stock,unthemed android looks so much better than this. It's whatever though, everybody has their own preferences as completely mind blowing as they are. I'm also a little biased because I can't stand anything that is made by Apple. I would rather have no technology at all than to use any product made by Apple.

Deep breath in and out there Fangoria. Wow I have seen some ignorance in here but remember, NOT ALL OF US LIKE THE SAME THINGS. Iphone has its good points and android has better points(In my opinion). Why you so quick to bash someone today? You need some Midol. We all are different and like different stuff click the back arrow and go on to something else if you don't like this thread.

Someone should definitely do this. I'm willing to bet a lot of people would use it (someone in that thread even said they would donate to get it on the evo), and there's nothing like it in the forums. (no, MIUI is not like this)

Can you not read? I wasn't trolling anybody. I clearly stated that EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN OPINION. I did not insult his intelligence for having such opinions nor did I call him any name for any reason. Use your brain before your fingers touch the keyboard. That really sucks! Why someone would do that is beyond me. I've been meaning to root an Android phone for awhile and I finally got a phone that I love and I can't lol misleading stuff like that isn't cool!

Personally I think its nice and minimal but was wanting something more badass like Cid was.

Too simple and generic if you ask me - it doesn't scream out "unique identity", and it is not a rememberable logo, like the Cid mascot.
If anything, I think they should try to go down the mascot route with the logo design.

Simple, clean, and professional, everything that the stupid-looking Cid was not. If you want to be taken seriously, you have to look the part. Time to leave "college kids hacking in a dorm room" behind.

Lol that's true, thought the same thing so I'm not the only one [emoji23] [emoji23]

It has sense related to the Lineage name, is clean and recognizable even in small format. It's a nice job, honestly the old cm face was too "early 2000" for my taste.

I hope that bootanimation will be awesome for this logo

Looks like an icon in an app, and not for the app itself.
Also looks a bit like the share icon turned 90 degrees.
Or a top-down look at someone in a hat wearing boxing gloves.

I like it and I think there is a lot of space playing around with it i.e. for boot animations as it is simple.

It's alright. Needs more skateboard. I don't think any android fork project is trying to take themselves too seriously. There's a unicorn, an android tripping balls, Pac man... I, for one, like the "hackers hanging out in the lopht" vibe. After all, it was cyanogen Corp taking itself too seriously that got us in this mess in the first place...

I like it so far, simple, clean. Trademark worthy!
I would like to see what they come up with to animate it for boot animation though. I'm thinking, it turning like the hands of a clock.
