Hello Everyone,
I have the fyaro Rom install on my Tattoo and i want to install apk software on it. I know that there is softwars to do so but i dont find any on the net.
I be happy if someone can give me a direct link to download one of those softwars.
I try to find on google but found nothing.
Thanks in advance
Do you mean batch installing apps? A lot of apps in one click?
No not at all.
I use to have a software that i can serach an APK on my computer and install it on my Tattoo.
The software requires the HTC Sync and the Google SDK and i dont manage to find any software that i can install APK apps on my Tattoo.
Okay, got it. There are two solutions:
1. Copy the apk's to the phone SD-card and use a file manager to install them.
2. Download Android sdk or just a zip archive with adb files from here http://code.google.com/p/azilink/downloads/detail?name=adb.zip&can=2&q=
Connect your phone and open a commando prompt and write:
adb install <path of apk>
Thanks for the solution i will check it out.
Still just to let you know there is a software that you install on the PC and with her you can install APK on the Android.
If i will find this software i will publish the link to her.
Thank agian you help me a lot!!!
Found the software:

Hi,
AC looks very sweet! Thanks for this link - will try it later.
Is it possible to manage system apps with this tool, too?
Regards,
Smoky
Don't know about this app but simple adb command will surely do it too!

I'm really really excited...! This is my dream tablet, I've been waiting for this for over a month. And now its finally mine! But there is a problem, since I've no WiFi network in my house(for now), how can I install applications. I know the android applications are .apk format, but I don't know from where to download them. I got the file manager HD .apk file but I don't know how to install it. Please help!
Youll have to root your tablet then you can install apks locally. Alternatively you can try easy installer. You will need a internet connection as its required by the Market to install apps.

I don't think you have to root to install apps locally... as long as you have the unknown sources option checked, you can install apps from wherever you want. If you have a desktop with internet that you can get to, you can download the apk's from various torrent sites, and I think there is a web version of the android market? I'm sure there are other places as well, just search on Google. anywhooo, then just transfer the file over to your A500 via the USB cable or flash drive, and open the file through the app manager option that pops up when you tap on it, then click install.
I have had no problem download APKs onto my desktop computer and then putting them on a Micro SD card to use on the A500 without having to root anything.
u can use Docs to go to navigate to .apk on your tablet and launch instal from there. Thats my way)

Congrats on getting your Inconia!
For apps like the filemanager you could just download them from the Android marketplace, then they would install themselves. Otherwise, place them on your sd card if you're downloading to your PC first. Apps will also install if they are in your download folder on the tablet (say for example, if you download from the dev's website or email them to yourself as an attachment).
One thing you might have to do first is check the setting that allows you to install "unsigned" third-party app. I believe it's: Setting->Applications->Unknown Sources.
From what I understand, there's not much concern of installing something harmful anymore (for which this setting was designed to protect against), but I could be wrong. Just be careful who you are getting the app from if it's not from the market, a dev's site or a reputable person here at the forum.
That's my $.02 Have fun!
Just get a home network!
Enjoy your Iconia....I love mine!
Congratulations
- No need to root for installing apk, just check the checkbox (the Iconia will told you what you have to do anyway)
- Get a wifi quick

i am just in the middle of looking for that in the forum, i don't understand what it is and how it works... can't find easy explanation...
The first three steps of one of my manual tutos:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20069222&postcount=3
Helps you get ADB running on windows.
ADB is Android Debug Bridge. It provides terminal-based interface for interacting with your phone’s file system.
And this makes a small simple script to easily connect to your device.

Check my other manual tutos if you are interested in some examples of what you can do with ADB. (On my sig)
thanks eded333, i will have a close look to that. I like to understand, but i feel like my computer skills are to small to go ahead in that step. but anyway, i will try
Unless you want to use your e-ink device as a tablet, you don't want to have a market app (even Amazon) on it. Or to have mail programs. I personally prefer to use it for reading though I have a normal tablet for other stuff.
Anyways, my point is try to get used to adb way, this one is keeping your nook less bloated than anything else.

Hello. I'm new here, and I'm not sure if this post goes here or in the Apps subforum. If I'm mistaken please forgive me.
I rooted my Nook Touch and I followed some instructions to make the Market app work. But it doesn't search anything so I can't install anything.
I need at least an app to access the filesystem from the PC, or the app "SearchMarket" so I can properly use the Market to install things.
I've tried a lot of things but nothing had worked:
Install SearchMarket from play.google.com and send it to my Nook -> Nothing happens to me.
Install from the PC -> I've read various guides but I can't never connect my Nook to the PC that way, the USB drivers never works.
Install Opera and install apk from there -> I install Opera, but as soon as I launch it, it crashes.
¿A way to install apps, please? I'm desperate here, as nothing I've tried have worked.
I'm not a completely noob, I've root several devices and I know about computers. I'm just new here and for some reason I can't get the guides I read to work.
Thanks in advance.
::::::::::::::::::::::::EDIT::::::::::::::::::::::::
OK, finally managed to install SearchMarket!!!
Now I need to access file system from PC to modify the internal dictionary, because I want to change the language... how can I do that? Thanks!
::::::::::::::::::::::::EDIT2::::::::::::::::::::::::
I guess ES Explorer will do the trick. Thanks anyway xD
Hi everyone, I've made this script for all you for update the Google Play Sote to the latest version
Requirements:
Windows S.O
USB Debug ON on your phone
ADB drivers installed
An android device xD
This script will allow you to install the latest version of the Google Play Store (4.0.25) without having nothing to do with apks, or root or anything else
Here it is the link to the download -> http://goo.gl/VUfi6
If there is any questions...please ask!!
PS: If you want the source code...just ask or "extract" the .exe file

Hello everyone
I am sorry that my first post is a request, but I couldn't find what I need anywhere.
I have a SCH-i705 running Android 4.1.2, it is not mine, but belongs to the company I work for. they have an Admin app installed that blocks google play; they don't want users to install apps that might interfere with their installed app. however, I can install and uninstall apps using adb.
I need to update Google Maps to the latest v7. I searched and downloaded a copy, but it flickers too much, and I read somewhere that I need the version that is specific to this device. I tried with androidvm in virtualbox and downloaded a copy, but the same thing, flickering, maybe I didn't provide the emulator with the correct specifications for this tab. I tried also to modify google play by renaming the package then repackage it using apktools, but I might missed something because the new renamed phonesky package crashes with error Can't find resource for bundle 'org.keyczar.i18n.messages_en_US', key ''
solving this problem for a newbie to android programming might take some time, so for now, I need copy of the Maps app pulled from this device if possible or be pointed to a renamed google play or a replacement for it.
thanks in advance.
Thank you Jxt., I will download it.
on the other hand, someone at another forum told me to use Real APK Leecher which is here at xda. I will give it a try too.
