Hi
I'm working in marketing in a mid-sized company in Switzerland. We are currently working with flash-based electronic sales documents on Tablet-PCs (WinXP). With more new and faster tablets/pads arriving, we are thinking about switching to an Android-System, mainly because it supports Flash and because I like it
Is there anybody around here, who could recommend an agency, preferably in Switzerland (Germany, France or Austria being options), who have experience in Android development for customers in an industrial setting? We are seeking an agency of at least two people and not a freelancer/single person due to project management reasons. We would need to have a version of Honeycomb somewhat adapted to our needs (user interface; full-screen playback of flash content; ...) and would be willing to exploit the further possibilities (e.g. customer feedback form, order form, ...).
I have looked around, and there are some web/internet-agencies that claim to provide Android development but I doubt the ones I found really have the experience with this rather new plattform... for some reason, already good flash-programmers are very hard to find around here...
Maybe even some folks around here work on android-development for a business? if not here, where then?!
Any help is greatly appreciated. Also, please don't hesitate to PM me, if you think you or your company could help me on this project.

Hi there
I work for a public relations agency that acts on behalf of ZTE in Europe.
Our aim in joining the forum is to be helpful with product, market and technical questions where we can, and to go back to ZTE to get answers where we need to, within the boundaries of what is acceptable/allowable based on ZTE’s standard terms, and/or the terms ZTE has agreed with operators for operator-branded devices.
Pease be patient.. I am here to genuinely try to help, but please understand that at times I might have to say "no" based on those constraints.
Hi and most of all welcome.
It is rare that a representative of a company is active on a forum but I like and applaud it.
My personal reason to buy a product, and I think alot of people here, is that there is true community of development and progress in the latest and greatest.
XDA is the future now and what the people want!
If a manufacturer can aid them it will be a win win situation.
Android device sales have boomed in the last year to what I think is also a result of word of mouth.
Most of my friends and colleagues are now interested and will buy, or have already bought an Android phone over the last couple of months because I showed them the possibilities and the tremendous support of this forum.
The power that these boards have is stellar and it is up to the manufacturer to listen to what the people say or want to adapt in future needs.
Marketing to sell is one thing but support is even more important so current customers will stay with your brand.
In my case I bought the blade in Belgium where I currently live to act as an interim phone due to my HTC HD2 being broken (again).
At first I thought I would have withdrawel symptoms towards the HD2 but I got to love my Blade. I now got to love it that much that a couple of people I know have got one too. I might sell my HD2 whenever I get it back and for sure keep the Blade.
I am already looking forward to test the new range of ZTE phones, so if you need testers ;-)
Thanks lukesan - this is great feedback and I will share it with ZTE HQ.
Since announcing ZTE's presence on xda and MoDaCo as well as Tweeting on @ZTE_UK - we have already received lots of offers of help in testing new devices!
I will tell you what I have told others, as ZTE's European PR team we would love to get as many devices into the hands of as many enthusiasts as possible - since it is excellent PR. Sadly, at this stage I cannot promise devices for review - all I can say is I will flag the interest with people at ZTE.
Cheers
Sean
on the 24th June 2011, ZTE released a 2.2.2 software update for the China Unicom V880 blade located here: http://support.zte.com.cn/ftpdata/手机售后/技术资料发布/3G/V880/image-P729CUV1.0.0B15.zip
Will zte be providing an updated 2.6.32 kernel source for this software update as I would like to study their code to see what improvements were made
agree with hecatae, we need an update to .32 first.
Sony Chief Executive Kazuo Hirai has confirmed recent reports that the company will be targeting flagship smartphones over entry-level models. Speaking to Bloomberg, he said that “we basically are out of the feature-phone business and in the Android-based smartphone business. We are more in toward the high end of the market as opposed to trying to get into the commoditized portion.”
“We need to have products that wow people, move people emotionally,” Hirai said. He went on to say that this focus on high-end models could help to turn the mobile business into a profit driver for the company. “That’s why we are in this business, and that’s why we invested heavily in the business. I believe we still have a lot of room to grow,” Hirai said.
Sony Mobile is currently forecasting to sell 34 million units in the year ending 31 March and sold 8.8 million handsets in the three months to September 2012. Hirai has increased research & development for smartphones, which should deliver higher margins going forward if executed successfully.
However, analyst views remain mixed on Sony’s chances of catching up. “Hirai’s plan to move the unit into profits seems to be a pipe-dream. Competition in high-end smartphones is only going to get tougher,” said Amir Anvarzadeh from BGC Partners. Another analyst, Hideki Yasuda, from Ace Securities said “it’s going to be hard for Sony to catch up. Still, the market is expected to continue growing, and that will probably enable Sony to boost sales.”
This is definitely not device related. Please use the general forums for posting unrelated information. Also please don't post up every news article you read as it's just cluttering a forum people use for useful information.
Thanks

Great gods, hello! I am a mobile phone enthusiast from China. My mobile phone is the LG V20 (VS995). My English is not good. So I would like to use Google's translation. I hope you don’t mind that Google cannot be used in China. We can only It is very pity to rely on ssr to visit these foreign websites....Because you can't access Google, the Google service in the mobile phone has been removed, and there is no Google GCM. The application notifications are sent through the background to send notification messages. It has led to Caton, China's MIUI I think you should know, more famous, I am writing this article is that I hope you can complete a request, is to help VS995 to do a MIUI system, I will not do the system, but I know This must not be easy. Xiaomi mi 5 is also a soc of 820. It may be easier, and it can also be transplanted. After all, MIUI is the best system in China in China. It can solve my troubles. This phone also has a lot of people in China. Concerned, maybe because the technology is not good, I will come here to ask you, I hope you can complete my very unreasonable request, thank you! !
