Outgoing call problem - Epic 4G General

One in five outgoing calls that I make does not connect. All I get is the sound from the mic looped into the speaker. At forst I thought it was my buetooth but alas that is not the problem. This has gone on for a few weeks. I have reset the phone (soft, hard and factory reset) with no improvement. Thoughts?

Thanks. Do you know of any official Sprint word on this? Any partial work arounds? I may call them this afternoon as this is really driving me nuts... well if the phone will allow mw to hear them.

When you make a call and the phone sits and makes no noise, toggle the speaker phone on and off and I bet the other person is waiting on theother line wondering why you didn't say anything for a few seconds. Happens to me all the time.

I think this may be because the phone is thinking it's connected to a car charger.
Mmm no it doesn't seem to be that. Any more ideas?

Had a phone do this, it was indeed because of a card charger, I never found a way to undo the problem but after a battery pull the problem persisted for a few more calls then went away. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. There is an app in the market where you can toggle between speaker and handset. called settings profile, this may be a workaround for you untill it smooths itself out. Ringer plays out of ear piece speaker

Running stock dk28 and I'm missing phone calls because the ringer is playing out of the ear piece speaker instead of the speaker phone speaker. Has anyone seen this? Anyone have a fix?
Also, my ear piece speaker pops sometimes for no reason. It's really killing me!
To note, stock di works just fine, no pops, nothing. Ringer works just fine.

I posted about this issue a while back. It seems to happen after disconnecting Bluetooth.

I've often wondered if that was the case. Wonder if it has to do with the bluetooth stack? So really, only the two of us are having this issue?
It's possible that you two are the only ones using a bluetooth headset that detach it while expecting calls.

Acutally I just notced this issue yesterday. I have the motorola s10 stereo bluetooth headset that I use every morning when I go to the gym. I usually have my ringer on vibrate but I noticed that the ringer was playing through the ear piece and not the speaker. I reset the phone and everything went back to normal but is there a fix for this?

I had the same issue once, but unfortunately I'm not sure what triggered it, I don't use bluetooth ever.
restarting the phone resolved it and I haven't seen it since.
Stupid bluetooth. Oh well. Hope they fix it before they release it in a few years. Haha!

dk28 did that crap too.
when streaming via bluetooth, then u take a call, then switch back to streaming or some stupid combination the sounds come from the earpiece and not the speaker and not the bluetooth headset. AND the earpiece makes weird and random popping/buzzing noises as well.
I was hoping that EB13 would fix this but meh.. it's too much to expect Samsung and/or Sprint to do anything right.

Delays and lags

It takes a good few seconds
- Pressing the home button to wake up the screen
- calling someone
- answering the phone
- when a call is disconnected
Is this common?

What r u guys doing with your devices. I just did everything on your list and no lag. The only thing that happens is after a call ends, theres another screen that pops up with call back/videocall/message. Ive been running my device for 2 days now with zero problems.
Out of sudden there are so many thread about delay and lag. LOL. Never experience before with my device. Wonder what you all did. Hmm..
I didn't do anything. It was like this out of the box

Speakerphone problems?

Is anyone else getting speaker problems when in-call?
I use a can if CO2 and a vacuum cleaner to blast n clean the speaker, it only works for a few days though.
I'm looking for a more permanent fix.
I just talked to Verizon today and they don't recommend sending it in for warranty, they told me to look for some forums to find a solution because you'll most likely get more problems with a refurbished one.

My d4 did this went through like 5 on warranty replacement when #6 did it I got this apphttps://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ninesixapps.speakercleaner called the ole lady and used it 3-5 times while on the call seemed to help some...

I don't know about the speaker, but my microphone seems to be acting up. People often ask me to keep repeating myself and such. I too, tried clearing the mic out with CO2 but it didn't really help that much in the long run. I think Moto just messed up the audio on both, incoming and outgoing calls on this phone.
