When i hardreset my HD2 with windows phone 7 and the 2gb micro sd it works fine loads good, doesnt freeze or restart but as soon as i connect it to zune and transfer things it becomes unstable and restarts over and over again, is this a problem with the software trying to access the information or have i done something wrong? Has any body else noticed this?
all in all without the sd card in it runs like a gem, good bye winmo 6.5 you served me well-ish

Hi,
i'm wondering if somone can help me with this:
When i connected to WiFi error message appeared saying: "The process com.htc.provider has stopped unexpectedly please try again"
The Sence UI crashes and it stars with unreadable MicroSD card i bought recently.
The Mobile network although turned on shows as disconnected.
Firmware: 1.5
Kernel: 2.6.27-430d1aea
It seems i solved the problem with crashing Picture viewer and music player.
Because of the new technology of MicroSD cards called "HC" HTC Hero didn't fully support this type of memories.

Nah, they do support High capacity,.. Maybe you'v got some corrupt music or pictures on it.
yeah ive got a 8gb micro sdhc in mine, works fine
i suggest you backup all the data on your mem card, format and copy it all back on
good luck
I will try formatting the Card
I switched with older 2GB card and it seems fine now.
Can anyone figure out the error message above that i get when connecting to internet.
and any idea with the phone hanging and requires a restart.
Something with the sense UI stopped responding unexpectedly and requires to close
every two days or so.
Had a 16GB memory card in my HD2 for about 6 months. Yesterday it failed for no apparent reason. Anyone else had this happen? Or any idea as to how I could get the data back? Tried it on my PC in a card reader, but it just says 'Please insert disk...'
Not that big a deal, but its a hassle as most of my apps and icons, and all my TomTom maps were stored on the card
quite a few have had memory cards fail whilst using them in the hd2
same here
also had a new (ebay/unbranded) 8Gb micro SD card fail on me last week after only 6 days of use. Completely fried - PC refused to recognise it existed at all. Lucikly had been syncing entire contents daily to a backup folder on my home NAS using GoodSync so returned to ebayer for replacement and then re-synced with no data loss.
I had a similar experience, not with my HD2 but with my previous HD. The card appears in the directory only for a few seconds and then disappears, on every fresh reboot of the phone (not sure if that's your case too). So what I did was to have the phone boot-up while connected to the PC, and copy the data from it as quick as possible before it 'disappears'. Once I did that and had all my info safe, I formatted the card and it worked fine afterwards. Never knew what exactly had caused the failure though, but fortunately I was able to recover the data as described.
Had a failure with a 16GB mSD Sandisk in my HTC Touch HD Blackstone 2 months ago after 2,5 years of heavy use. Parts of my data were corrupted and phone froze.
mSD was still recognized by PC but unable to write or copy any data any more. Also no luck with recovery apps for PC.
I dunno if it was the Blackstone that fu..** the card or vice versa, the ROM of my Blackstone was fu..** too. I flashed G10s Ultimate Dusk, have a new sd card and now works fine again.
Sh.. happens once in a while
Hi, I have an HTC HD2 with android NAND NexusHD2-Froyo V1.9G NAND. Have no sd card recognized and can't activate my wifi cause give an error. I was really mad about this problem and I notice there is no solution for some guys like me, so now I found a trick to solve it and maybe you find it usefull.
1. Turn off cellphone.
2. Remove SIM Card and SD micro card.
3. Turn on. Active the "only 2g network" in settings.
4. Reset, and keep the back cover open.
5. When turn ON, go to settings again and enter the sd card settings. There is no info cause there is no sd card insert.
6. As the back is open you can now insert the sd card. THE CARD SHOULD BE NOW AVAILABLE.
7. Go to activate wifi in wireless connection settings. For me is working.
8. Now active the Airplain Mode. And turn off you phone again.
9. Extract the SD microcard. Put the SIM CARD. Leave back cover open.
10. Turn ON. Deactivate Plain mode. Now you should get call signal. But again no sd and wifi
11. Repeating step 6. Go to SD card settings and insert SD card.
12. Try wifi and SD card. ALL WORKIN.
I hope it work for you. Please forget for my english.
Hi Shingo, hi all!
Finally somebody with the similar problem as mine...I was browsing and searching all over the net for the solution or workaround but without any success!
And it starts to drive me completely crazy!
Well I have HD2 with "CORE Droid 1.3 NAND" Android, and my main problem is something as yours but not exactly the same.
In my case, I CAN turn on WiFi after rebooting a phone, and it's working flawlessly UNTIL phone goes into standby. After 10mins or so (obviously after phone goes into complete sleep) when I wake up the phone I can see that my WiFi connection is gone and I CAN'T turn it back on cause it gives an error which you can see in Wireless settings (WiFi - Error).
Then, because of the obvious reason (wifi's not working), or maybe something else, all the apps which are depending on refreshing it's data from wifi (push mail, maps...) are force closing, starting with Google Services Framework, Maps, Beautiful Weather Widget...
I wanted to try your solution but if I pull out SD card and SIM card my phone doesn't even wants to boot up. Obviously because it has some crucial data stored on one of the partitions on SD card.
Another thing is that, if I pull out SIM card and boot I can't change anything in network settings...?!
I'm really not an expert, but maybe your Android NAND build is so much different than mine, so I can't apply your fix/solution...
If somebody else has an idea or maybe a possible solution, or even an advice what to do I would be so grateful!!!
Thank you all in advance!

Hi,
Just an update to my problem. Yesterday morning I've cloned (formated ext and copied) my Kingmax 16GB SD card to spare one I have which is also 16GB in capacity but from SanDisk.
I can confirm that from that time I didn't have either force closing apps or WiFi errors.
I don't know if somebody will find this information useful , but it saved me from my despair! I was really going crazy.
Since I'm using NAND CORE Droid v1.3 which has some of it's data on ext partition it even make sense that better/faster/just-another-brand SD card makes such a difference.
But, as I said, I'm just a noob here....if somebody has another opinion or suggestion, it's more than welcome
Thanx
Hi,
since i have bought milestone 2 i have the similar problem... even now with the newest original rom
the downloading is interrupting almost every time, browser have never downloaded bigger file than approximate 20 mb and even opera mini doesnt work well with downloading
since i have got the fasterdownolader app it says me sometimes that the problem is system file read only (null)... or something like that, but i am downloading strictly on the sd card which is weird... so doesnt anybody know where could be the problem?
I have rooted rom with 1-click rooter
Sometimes it helps me to mount and umount sd card, but sometimes it doesnt.
The only app without downloading problems is dropbox
can i do something with the sd card to makes it work better? (for example)
I could be wrong but I believe it is more so to with with mobile internet in general being too unstable and some of the sources you download from don't work very well with it. This problem is most common with file sharing sites for myself, ones that don't support resuming downloads. Little bumps and resets in the connection (although you are not aware they happen) cause it to stall and then it simply wont resume. I've seen it happen on phones of friends etc, and even had it happen downloading over wireless hotspot on my laptop.
Some games with in app downloads will be very hard to download over my data connection and I only end up wasting nearly 1gb of my cap only to have 3 failed downloads halfway through, then it is seemless on wifi when I get home.
If you need a good download test side ... I always use the new release of ubuntu ... http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/11.10/release/
And if you want to make sure it is not your mobile internet connection ... did you have the same problem with WLAN and downloads?
Just some ideas ... maybe it helps!
Thank you both for help
Finally I have got the answer, my main problem is SD card bigger than 8 GB
Since i have the 16 gb' card I have problems with reading and writing data on it
Mount and Unmount card is my daily routine, because even MortPlayer has a problem to play a music sometimes
Have you read this post?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1025501
I have and it did solve my problem I forgot to note it here
but thank you very much, it is sometimes hard to be a muggle and to find a solution only by yourself
Even with newest gingerbread my new 16 gb's sd card freezes repeatedly...
but to replace the dll's did helped me (hopefully)
so here it goes

I changed files manually by the root explorer
I often have problems when I want to copy data on the phone or get it from the phone on the HDD. It works in general but often it justs hangs and then I have to restart the phone which only shows "synchronising" and doesn#t do anything anymore. Another thing not working very well is accessing data (photos or videos) directly from the sd card. I often get errors when trying to do this. Any ideas?
EDIT:
Now I got a message while copying data "device not working anymore"... What's wrong here?
You can try using a different USB cable or trying a different SD card. I think based on your post it's probably a card going bad.
Hm, it's a class 10 card, h igh quality, worked fine in my HTC desire...
