Worked for me!!!! - EVO 4G General

Well this subject has talk about for a long long long time. But i decided to try it since i was having abnormal battery drop. Well my phone was using 70% of the android system while the phone is awake and sleep!! So i read if you format your sd card cures this problem. So im just going to post my battery usage and things ive done with my phone since 7:00am
Edit 1- Charge phone from 90% to 100% Took 7:00am to 7:27am
edit 2- went to work play music on phone for about 30min or more. Phone went to 97%
edit 3- moderate use of 7 SMS, 3 phone calls, 3 missed calls, 20min of music playing phone went to 87%
edit 4- phone in sleep mode for good 6 hours untouched phone went to 74%
edit 5- 15 SMS, 5 phone calls, 3 missed calls, and 20 min of internet connected to WIFI (also to note phone calls ranged from 5- 25min long) phone went to 54%
And now to this point this is were im at: (ON THE STOCK BATTERY)
Battery cheats- animation on some
weather widget update every 12 hours
10H 33M 44S since unplugged
Battery life 48%
up time 11:46
awake time 6:15
cell standby-25%
woice calls-24%
phone idle-23%
android system-17%
dialer-6%
display-5%
Also im rooted running ava-froyo rom(newest update) if that makes a difference
hardware version-0004
baseband- 2.15
kernel- 2.6(think all the ava roms use stock kernel)
software number- 3.70
pri- 1.90
So just posting my data and to see if that accurate or even some folks with better results? To me if worked(3.5-5 hours max with same or less usage) Way better than what i had when i was using my droid eris

Edit 6- Hour on youtube with wifi, couple text messages 14H at 18% Peace!!!!

Post your x1's battery life and usage here please

I want to see how your X1's doing on performance. Please post your battery life with ur daily usage here please
For myself, i ran it only for a few days n i may have to get an extra battery to work...
phone fully charged by wall charger from 12am last night to 7am this morning (i know the crappy stuff about charging it thru PC, so i decided to go with wall charger).
unplugged at 7am
7am - 9am: phone was on without usage - wifi, bluetooth, everythings off
(battery bar from FULL to 80%)
9am - 11am: windows media player with connection for live radio online
(battery bar from 80% to 40%)
11am to 2:45pm: media player panel for mp3 usage, listening to mp3 nonstop with a few short phone calls
(battery bar empty and it shut off itself)
so i have total of 5 hours and 45 minutes of usage of the phone from 9am to 2:45pm, other than that it was just sitting turned on from 7am to 9am
Is it normal? please post urs here to do a little comparison!
Fully charged with the phone off overnight, 8 hours later without any usage (just checked the clock a few times) kept me at 100% battery level.
However, using the internet to browse through regular websites consistently and running Fring at the same time runs my battery from 100% to completely shut down in 3 hours and 45 minutes or so.
Today:
Fully charged and unplugged @ 10am
Surfed the web 30 minutes (opera 9.5)
Skype ~10 minutes (text messaging)
Checked mails (2 accounts) every 60 minutes = 10 times until 8pm
~20 minutes phone calls
all with HSDPA
battery level now 1:17 am, after 15 hours, 60%.
So, yes. Its normal and I think any other phone will behave the same with 2 hours listening to online radio + ~3 hours mp3 playback + few short phone calls.
Charged about 8h overhight, unplugged at 10am in the morning, bluetooth on all day, synchronized with bluetooth watch mbw-150 for all day, listening music over bluetooth stereo headset for about half hour, phone calls 35 minutes, turned on display many times over all day and in the evening at midnight, after 14 hours of usage I have more then 60% battery so not bad I think.
Battery life
Well my phone really is inconsistent. I keep forgetting to load it at night and i will be empty the next morning as long as bluetooth is on. No matter how full it was in the evening.
I do use it all day with bluetooth and about 1 hour phone calls a day over bluetooth + Outlook used a lot. It will be almost empty in the evening.
Bluetooth really is pulling the battery down.
ya, hmm maybe cause by network we are in... maybe some network require stronger use of battery to get reception... for this i cant really tell cause im not an expert...
by the way, im in US using ATT.
feel better now though by knowing its normal for a pda phone, actually its my first, used to play mp3 all day with sony's phone, lol
i know turning all programs and connection off will reduce use of battery, but is there ways to really make it run a little longer?
sidenote: my theme is Today, and i also make sure that nothing running in task manager...
Perhaps it has something to do with the radio ROM?
anyone? no hints?
Connected to EDGE, BT (syncing with car stereo only) and WLM 24/7 with about and hour or two worth of calls and viewing & answering sms/emails my battery lasts about 3 days.
Connected to EDGE, BT (syncing with car stereo only), WLM 24/7 with about 20 minutes worth of calls, viewing & answering sms/emails and listening to mp3's with the screen on with the backlight dimmed lasts from about 6-7 hours.
Connected to EDGE, BT (syncing with car stereo only), WLM 24/7 with about 20 minutes worth of calls, viewing & answering sms/emails and listening to mp3's with the screen off lasts from about 10-15 hours
charged th phone overnight swiched off, on at 8:00 MBW-150 and bt headset connected 2 hours of calls. no wifi or internet browsing, 3g and HSDPA off. and at the end of the day after normal use 23:00 battery was almost dry.....
100% in the morning @ 7:00 am charged all night using wall charger
HSDPA (or Edge depending on converage) all the time with Microsoft Push Email
10 to 20 SMSes per day
2 to 3 hours phone call
RSS feeds syncing every 1 hour using RSS HUB.
Bluetooth ON 24/7 in connectable mode, connected to BT headset (not sterio) and BT watch (MBW-150) using smartWatchM
10 to 15 Minutes of WiFi
i reach 10:00pm and the battery on 20 or 30%.
if i reduce phone calls (1 to 1.5 hours) i get 40 to 50% @ 10:00pm
this is a great battery life for me, i love it. the battery is affected by the current FW you are using and how many applications are running in the background (doing stuff not sleeping).
i use R2AA10.
Cheers
Alarm rings at 6:00.
Usage 6:00 - 16:00:
Two or three phone calls with a length of one minute or two.
Email checking for 3 accounts every 30minutes (HSDPA).
10 to 20 text-messages (receive and write).
Half an hour listening to music with headphones.
Usage 16:00 - 0:00:
Two or three phone calls with a length of one minute or two.
Email checking for 3 accounts every 30minutes (EDGE).
10 to 20 text-messages (receive and write).
Quarter an hour of W-Lan while searching the internet for updates to my programs.
Usage 0:00 - 6:00:
Standy with flightmode.
The battery drains each day for about 20%, so I charge the battery each 4th day (it should last one more day but you never know what's coming to drain your battery during the day )
I'm on YYYYY's german Manilla ROM
Hi,
New here, my first post.
Am using the latest update from SonyEricsson website.
No matter for how long I charge my phone never shows "Completely charged" status all the time its in "Charging" mode.
I have observed that it consumes more charge on using playing music, browsing, using Java tools, and if Bluetooth is kept on.
Take it off charge at 0700
3-4 hours internet use.
Podcast download and RSS feed checking + dl... (varies in a day depending on Podcast available or not and whats new)
Loads of sms
about an hour of phone calls
about 4 hours or so of reading/vocab practice (using Plecodict, a Chinese language tool)
after 2-3 days like this it needs charging again (40-20% depending on podcast dl)
Let it charge over night.
Lasts about 2 full days.
Make few calls, lots of texts, checks emails every 15 min and updates weather every 4hrs.
Also updates stocks, rss and other stuff.
Use facebook panel once a day.
After reading this thread i am a bit confused. I have My X1 for 10 days now, and it never held the whole day, which makes me want ma E90 back...
Couse the usage is just the same, maybe a little more WLM.
I have mails checking every 5 mins, no WIFI, or BT. AND 24/7 WLM connected, with 5 hours typing or more.
And i gues it is thy typing that consumes battery. Somehow X1 3" screen consumes twice the power of E90 4" screen? That just doesn't make sense. G2 or G3 doesn't realy matter. Well only little.
Will try for the first time tommorow without WLM.
Or Maybe WLM with me turning the screen of and relying on sound notification, instead of checking the screen all the time.
Still big downside for me, regarding the battery. Even E90 was at EDGE, couse, UMTS did not hold it whole day. God damm it we have battery tehnology from 100 years back...
can those with good battery life please post the rom and radio rom u are using?
thanks

battery life

Hei all of you
It seems that the legend has been released to some people, and i was wondering what you guys get out of the battery.
I am currently on a Diamond 2, with 1100 Mha battery, and currently get 1½ day out of this, and i want this to be an improvement. The legend, with 1300Mha, OLED screen and newer cpu, sounds like it will be a lot better, but some review mentions the battery life to be really bad.
I am using my phone for 20 text messages, psuh mail, no phone calls and only visit a few websites on 3G. No bluetooth, wifi or GPS. What can i expect of this?
i'm sorry if my English is not good enough,
but i've the HTC legend since Friday, and Saturday i did a simple test, i put the mobile phone to charge Friday night, Saturday about 12:00 pm i disconnected the charger and i've turned the wi-fi, gps,and bluetolth off, only the 3G network was on.
I had also ebuddy running on the background, after 4 hours i didn't touched the phone, and my battery was about the 25%
And the full charge time was almost 2 hours.... i went back to the shop where i bought the phone, they changed my battery and the did a hard reset.
The battery performance is now a little bit better, but it has not the same performance as the iphone 3gs.

I think the first time you run your phone it will consume the most power. So it's not the right time to test. I suggest you fully charge and fully consume the battery 2-3 times and then put it for a test.
Full capacity of a battery shows up after 2 months.
You will pass from 1 day to 3 days
So here is one short statistic after second charging.
14% of energy left in the battery after:
39 hours since last charging
2 hours of display on (35% of energy)
37 hours of phone connected to the cell (36% of energy)
13 minutes of calls (13% of energy)
Phone used for me "as normal" - cca. 10 SMS, 2 hours of mp3 and FM radio, one hour of net surfing, running sync with Gmail and Google Calendar.
Yes, it is period of 1-3 months to get full capacity of the battery, but in first few usage, you can fully charge and discharge battery.
I have a one day of full usage of the phone (wifi always on, twitter, e-mails, calls etc.)
Getting better
It's getting slowly better with each charging, second week and I'm on two days. Everyone is using it in a different manner, but my battery improved for about a 70%.
got the legend now for 2 weeks and loving it.
Battery life is good, don't expect to go 2 days intensive use without recharge but no phone with these function have this.
I can easily go with one to two day with occasional wifi, gps use and keep 3g or sync on settled on 1 hour intervals while playing some games using apps etc
Blue tooth i haven;t tried but like any phone the power munchers are wifi, blue tooth gps and 3g.
wifi should save lots of power compared to network operator connection
i use wifi at office, and with extensive usage, i can get about 8 hours straight, that is pretty heavy, the screen barely got to sleep
I have tested the battery in plain sleep.
If the device has wifi off and mobile data off (and no sync, ofcourse) i guess it lasts for a week - 10 days. But then you cant use wifi or mobile data.
If you only let it be in stand-by (screen locked and off, no data or wifi or gps or bt) it last quite long, probably close to the stated 300-400 hours in the manual.
In real life that translates to 3-5% battery drain (tested by me for 24h, only sent 2 sms and talked on phone for 2 minutes) per day.
But in normal use, wifi will drain 5-10% battery per hour and 3g/gprs with autosync drains 2-5% per hour depending on net.
No device lasts for more then a day or two if you acctualy use the device.
I have had my Legend for a week and a half now and the battery life is also getting better with each passing day. I can easily use it for a day and a half with quite a lot of WiFi browsing, and up to 30 or 40 minutes of call time. I'm really loving this phone!

Hi fellow Legenders,
i've had the phone for 4 days now. i am having issues with my battery. I have noted some points that i'll share & hopefully find a resolution for my dismal batt life. I have bluettoh on all the time, but it shows very little drain based on BT alone. Other than that, this phone ROCKS!
After full 8hr charge, the phone lasted approx. 13hrs 38mins before reaching critical level with the following findings:
On 08 April 2010
1. Voice calls used 50% batt – 36mins 11s call time.
2. Display on approx. 30% brightness used 21% batt – on for 1hr 10mins 15s
3. Cell standby on 3G used 16% batt – on for 13hrs 38mins (no signal 1%)
4. Phone idle used 8% - on for 12hrs 28mins
5. Bluetooth used 5% - on for 13hrs 28mins
After normal charge till batt 100% (about 3hrs), the phone lasted 15hrs 12mins 41s before reaching critical level
On 9th April 2010
1. Cell standby on 2G used 50% - on for 15hrs 12mins 41s (no signal 3%)
2. Display on aprrox 30% brightness used 18% - on for 29mins 35s
3. Phone idle used 15% batt – on for 14hrs 43mins 5s
4. Voice calls used 10% batt – on for 4mins 14s
5. Bluetooth used 7% - on for 15hrs 12mins 41s
Looking forward to better batt life as the days go by.
cheers,
Su
Very poor battery life for me.It has 7-8 hours stand-by.
1.Every 5 mins e-mail control.
2.Weather with auto update.
3.Friend stream.
4.Background data and auto sync.
5.Enable always-on mobile data
6.3G
I don't understand whats going on.If i left device when i go sleep with full battery after 7-8 hours i look it.It shows me only left %35 battery.
After disable all auto-uptade and 3g its over 1 days.
My hd2 had 1230 mah battery and super big screen and 1ghz processor. It was using %10 with same usage.
Legend has 1300 mah battery and small screen and 600 mhz processor. It uses %65.
Can anyone explain this sucks status?
I m using the legend... and a hd2 as my other device. would say the battery life for the legend is really dismal...

I am happy to report that my phone batt life has improved tremendously since my last charge. I installed OS monitor & checked to see what might be hogging the batt, & discovered some program was keeping my CPU running inthe high 70's & above continuously. I killed that program, fully charged my phone till 100%, restarted the phone for good measure, & with BT on permanently, more than an hour of wifi usage, about half an hour of phone calls & about 30 smses, after 24hrs, i still had about 24% batt left.
So it has definitely improved by leaps. Hope that helps others who have similar problems.
cheers,
Su
it will be good if you can share what's causing the high cpu usage ...
Oh sorry i forgot. it was OpenWatch for BT watches. It has a problem currently with HTC Legend & SE MBW-150. It doesn't have the full functionality as yet for some reason. The reason it ran the CPU load up, was because i had turned off my watch by accident & set the program to search & connect to the watch. My folly really.
cheers,
Su
After three weeks of use:
10h 52m since unplugged - still at 50% of battery
- Display: 49%. Time on: 1h 46m. Auto-brightness, mostly indoor
- Voice calls: 31%. Time on: 22m 53s
- Cell standby: 12%. Time on: 10h 52m
- Phone idle: 6%. Time on: 9h 6m
- Maps: 2%. (played with maps for a couple of minutes)
Gmail/Contacts/Calendar/Weather sync is on
GPS on (almost didn't use it)
WiFi off
Mostly in area with good 3G coverage.
Actual usage:
- Phone calls
- Some internet browsing
- Some chatting via Google Talk
Nice battery time
I've bought and charged my phone last Thursday. GSM only, using WIFI every day for 15-20 minutes, 10-15 min talk, and it's still at 35-40% after 5 days. I've got a magic battery or what?

Battery Life Stories

Hello,
I have been following these forums for a couple months now, and wow I am impressed. I love this community. I feel like I haven't contributed yet, so I started this thread. Below are my phone specs and my battery success. If this helps you, great! If you can contribute to this thread with your success, please do. If a similar thread is around, let me know; I don't want to take up extra space if I don't need to. My primary goal is for people to share their specs, usage, and battery life with Android. I had my brightness on high and 3g, GPS, and sync on (things you would normally want on all day). Peace!
Specs:
Leo - T-Mobile version
SD - 16GB class 4 (not sure brand, doesn't say)
Radio - 2.12.50.02_2
ROM - 28/7/10 Elegancia V 1.0 Final, Max Sense (T-Mobile version, if there is a difference?)
Android- 03/08/10 shubCRAFT CM6RC2/Froyo/Themed V1.1
Kernel - Cotulla 2.6.32.9#103
Info:
Unplugged at 07:30 am with 100%
Immediately checked email/XDA app for any updates (yep, I'm lame)
Standby for about an hour
Music/web browsing on Train to work (30 min)
Standby for 3 hours
Video playback during break (20 min)
Standby for 5 hours
Music/web browsing on Train home (30 min)
Home for about 3 hours with mix of standby/web browsing
9:10 pm - 15% warning (close to 15 hrs)
I stopped at 15%, because that is my "safety zone" for normal usage.
Anyone else care to share similar stories?
Before sleep yesterday, i have 97% battery, but when i wake up today, the battery left 47% :S 6hours drain 50% battery life only in stanby!!
when i checked background for what was running, Nothing..... maybe the android's screen is off, just it's not really sleep..
Hey guys, it's totaly normal, the actual HD2-Android roms are RC's, these problems will get fixed, just be patient.
My battery expirience:
8:30 - took from charging at 97% and went to work
normal use @ work (sms, googletalk, twitter and facebook)
15:00 - 15% warning
its about half the time from my windows rom, i think at current state of development it ist totaly OK.
And if you use SetCPU you can get a 1% discharge per hour in standby mode, if set up correctly
And what Waldemotor said, it's still in development.
Powermanagment isn't fully functioning, yet.
patience young grasshopper
5:40pm 100% when leaving work, started listening to music
5:55pm Standby for train ride
6:45pm Listening to music
7pm: Stopped listening to music
7-10pm: bit of xda app, checking my ps3 friends to decide whether to play MW2, showed the kids a couple of games
10pm-7am: Standby
7:40am-7:55 - Music before train
7:55-8:45 - Standby
8:45-9am Music
And here I am 09:35 and I have 30% battery left.

I'm with Darkstone Froyo 1.1 and i sync:
Gmail (push)
Exchange Mail, Calendar Contacts) every hour
Facebook every 2h
Twitter every 2h
I use SetCpu set to 245/245 profile screen off and 998/245 standard profile
I also Use
Juice Defender (paid version from market) :
With this i can plan usage of WIFI/3G :
- U can choose from push up to 5mn every 2h, i don't plan
- U can disable during night my night is from 22h to 7h
- disable if battery under 15%
- enable when i use choosed application in a list form exmple email, browser ... (keep disable elsewhere)
- U can choose automatically enable when screen is ON i don't : i prefer enable with application
Note: it's possible to control CPU too but i don't .. i think setcpu is better
- Wifi may be auto disabled when there's no access point near u
Estrong Task manager
- With this i kill all application except a choosen list when screen is off
GPS is always Disabled
With theses applications and settings i can get:
0% lost during night
and during day, my battery life depends on how much i use applications with 3G or Wifi and ... over all how much i phone
Note :
I've same conf on my Htc Hero ... (Android 2.1 hect sense) my battery life is almost 3 days
With HD2 desire V5 results are not so good
So i recommend :
Darkstone Froyo 1.1 (waiting for next build)
Wirh SetCPU, Juicedefender (paid version on market), and Estrong task manager
JuiceDefender has a free version but wiyh less options but u can try it
U can control battery JuicePlotter : it draws a graph for ur battery consumption and temperature telling u if wifi or APN were enabled.
Hope my contribution will be useful for some people

Went to work with a full 100% battery, did a bit of webbrowsing and texting. It was down to 30% within about three hours.
But I'm not fussed. As it's been said, it's still in its infancy. I've done nothing to try and amend it (SetCPU etc). I just have everything running on default settings.
When things drop so far though, I just switch back to Windows if I'm not near a charger.
My 2 cents on the matter
I own an HD2 since last Friday, I think. I found out that it can run Android and I wanted to test it. I spent an entire day with the Android. I started with a full battery, but I browsed the market, installed a lot of applications, listened to some music, even played a few avi files. The battery is drained faster than on WinMobile, but just like it was pointed out here, Android is still in development. The main idea is that I used it a lot and the battery was almost drained in 9 hours (I also stop around 15% too). I used Darkstone Froyo 2.1 build (Dan1j3ls Froyo V1).
- zImage 3/8, Dan1j3ls Froyo V1 (without Sense)
- setCPU enabled (always ondemand between 245 - 998)
- Yesterday 7 am - unplugged with 100 %
- Sync enabled with 3G over the day, some web browsing and playing around all day, measuring
- *#*#4636#*#* -> Phone info -> Menu -> set frequency band to Euro band, afterwards the constant 2G/3G flapping disappeared, switch to 2G only happens, when no more 3G available
- 11:30 pm went to bed, disabled Data overnight -> 50% left.
- Woke up this morning 8 am with several alarms ringing -> still 41% battery left.
With little usage good two days possible!

I left mine at 98% before going to bed and 8 hours later (yes, I slept that long) there was 78% left...
I'm on MattC's build, German Vodafone Stock Rom (1.72...) and 2.10.._2 Radio.
SetCPU activ and Exchange checking for mails every hour...
However, I'm not sure if 20% or 2,5% per hour is good or bad
u can globally underclock ur cpu for better effect, I run mine at 80% clock (main profile)
Im now on my 3rd day of using mattc v1.4.
1st day battery life was SHOCKING (as to be 'expected' (can you expect a shock???) for a RC running off an SD card).
I probably got about 4 hours heavy use from 100% to 10%.
2nd day I set up SetCPU with profiles for 'screen off' and <25% battery, disabled all data except wifi, disabled gps (tried juice defender but didnt find it useful as I never really use mobile data anyways). LEFT SCREEN AT 100% BRIGHTNESS!
This ^^^ helped with battery drain a lot and stopped the huge drain i was getting while the phone/screen was asleep.
BUT on day 2 I got a WEIRD problem:
Tried to set a pattern for unlocking - Put phone to sleep and rewoke to test lock.
The screen came on almost all white with my home screen barely visible underneath the white 'vail'.
I shutdown android and booted into WM6.5.x.
THE WEIRD THING IS THAT BEFORE THE 'CRASH' MY BATTERY SHOWED 49% BUT AFTER A REBOOT IT SHOWED 14%!
Multiple restarts into winmo and android still showed 14%/13%! WTF? I had to start charging again from there.
Now the HD2 wont charge past 91% (in android), untested in WM. I unplugged the USB and replugged numerous times - still wouldnt charge past 91%.
Left on charge overnight (android) and still at 91 this morning.
Been using it quite heavily ~3 hrs on and ~1 in standby today with lots of wifi and batt has gone from 91 to 76%.
ONLY LOSING 0.5 PER HOUR in standby now.
So basically, my battery is going nuts lol.
But so far I'm more than happy with it (considering it running from sd etc etc).
To all devs working on android builds - THANK YOU and keep up the good work.
Anyone else had any battery anomolies like mine?
I also experienced wrong loading behaviour, or maybe it's just the percentage showing wrong.
The following helped for me: Reboot into Windows Mobile, there the battery loading status was display correctly as 100% (also with the status LED glowing green constantly). Then with loading cable still plugged in, boot Android, then in Android the percentage reading was correct again.
really offtopic but anyone care to share how do you choose what to run in the background and what not? I use the task killer app but I kill the apps and they just reapear without me starting them.
thanks for sharing brothers!
can anyone comment on the battery life/consumption with this latest kernal and 384+ RAM ?
im using zimage 08/03 right now with Darkstone froyo v1 and my battery life is pretttty bad...
it will go from "93%" (full, it wont charge over), to about 25% in 4.5 hours..
and this is making NO phone calls and on standby. I have setCPU with the settings from the other thread too
just trying to figure out a good solution
I'm using the CM6 froyo.
Without setcpu and without the Aug 3 zimage, my battery drain was about 12% an hour on standby.
Now, with the Aug3 zimage and setcpu, I have about 6% battery drain per hour on standby.
Win mo: stock Tmo-US ROM. 2.08 radio. (both stock). 16GB class 2 MicroSD.
I always make sure I charge when phone is either off, or in winmo. I never charge the battery on android. I don't yet trust the android kernel enough to charge my battery correctly.
5%/h in standby problem

Im now on my 3rd day of using mattc v1.4.
Anyone else had any battery anomolies like mine?

Yes.
Not matter what I do, and whatever distribution I'm using there is huge battery drain in stanby mode (~5%/h). I changed ROM, radio, android version (mattc, darkstone, ...). Even used winmo registry tricks.
HD2 (eu), ROM Energy, checked mattc v1.5, shubCRAFT 1.3, NexusLeo v1, ...
But there was a time I had very good results - like 1%/h in standby. Do not know what changed (except changing Android ditribution very often). The other users (a lots of them) has 1-1,5%/h in standby mode, so I'm sure it is possible. There is some kind of setting/mistake or something to discover. For now Android (even running form SD) is capable to have as good "battery results" as winmo.
I will try
- charging in winmo only
- sd format or using another microsd card
- clean Android (without data and additional software)

With little usage good two days possible!

same case for me as little usage (sync email few times a day manually, play few songs for kids, little browsing and market). 2 days with batteryminder. ~ 50% since last charged 1 day ago.
The one that making real different for me is when I used GSM auto (PRL) (in *#*#4636#*#*).
Also auto turn to airplane mode 11:30pm-7:00am for me.
I also applied the sdcard registry changes in winmo. seems this will take some effect also.

The solution was to
1. I did battery calibration (not sure this task was really necessery) and checked winmo battery drain - to make sure battery is not broken by Android. No, it didn't
2. Charge battery to fulll on WinMo (or turned phone off), boot Android then remove /data/system/batterystats.bin .
Use this commands from Android Terminal (free).
su
rm /data/system/batterystats.bin

3. Restart Android (in that moment I had expected 1%/h drain) and use battery till it come empty
Thats all.
Propably, after many android switches (new distribution tests) the battery stats was broken - collected partially in different Android version.
Then finally, after 1 week with 5%/h battery drain problem in standby I have 1%/h in standby again. I think it is standard drain in haret.exe version.

Battery Statistics Thread

I thought we could have a thread posting battery statistics in the similar fashion to the one on the Captivate General forums.
1. Make sure your battery is properly calibrated.
2. Charge the phone overnight.
3. Start using your phone in the morning and do not charge throughout the day
4. When your battery hits ~5% record your statistics.
Here's my latest stats:
Still using K10H 256hz kernel on BUPJ8 Doc Rom v9
Have a black background with a black theme, brightness on Auto today.
5% battery after 14h4m
Display 95% with Time on 3h41m6s
Cell Standby 3%
Phone Idle 1%
In Battery History
Running 40.3% 5h40m without sleeping
Wifi on 16.7% 2h21m
I was using JuiceDefender till I got home and also had 3g disabled a majority of the day, however after I got home I wanted to see the drain without juicedefender on.
Drain without juicedefender when on 3g was pretty appalling, probably a % every 5-10 minutes.
Mostly just
-Bit of Tweetdeck
-Few minutes browsing web
-Texting
-Emails
-1 phone call (5 minutes)
-Read Ebooks for 30 minutes
-Played Dungeon Hunter for 23 minutes
-Music for 1hour
-Grocery list for 18 minutes while shopping

@ battery complainers

Not able to post a screenshot just yet, but here's the current status of my phone :
Battery on 21% currently
6 days, 4 hours, 0 minutes, 38 seconds on battery
Screen : 33% ( 3 hours, 28 minutes, 50 seconds )
Waiting time 26%
Phone is inactive : 26%
Voice calls : 4% ( 20 minutes, 40 seconds )
PES2011 : 3% ( 31 minutes, 30 seconds )
Android OS : 3%

So basically, 20 minutes of phonecalls, 30 minutes of gaming, 3 hours of turned on screen, and phone's battery is on 21% after 6 days of not charging.
The funny thing is - the battery section isn't displaying the web browsing/downloading I did on Opera in these 6 days ( had internet connection via wireless on my college ), the SMSing I did, and the 20 minutes I watched latest How I Met Your Mother episode.
( the only program I have installed that directly correlates to battery performance is advanced task killer; every time before I lock my phone after using it, I kill all processes running in background, including ATK itself; and of course, I manually disable bluetooth/wireless/data transfer after I'm done using them )
I haven't rooted my phone yet ( I haven't seen any JITs around so I don't particulary need the root yet ), so I can't snap a screen yet, but I'll try to get a friend to come over and take a picture of phone while on "Battery" section.
Hope this helps any future Arc customer.
This is pretty impressive
Did you use stock camera app?
2 days I used it and during the night baterry dropped from 24% to 2% overnight (at about 5-6h)
Today I charged it, used stock camera app. off/on Arc and then it dropped from 100% tu 94% or 95%, so definitely there is something with camera app.
My phone is also not rooted. I also lauch WiFi connection when I have to. It is off by default.
.184 soft.
screen on for only 3 hours just means you have left it in idle 24/7
I get around 2 days of moderate to heavy usage with around 150 MB 3G data every day
The camera app drain is one thing... I deleted some SE stuff which was still working in the background, so it reduced first draining way...I was happy few days, because battery life was cool, after 14 h of use it has about 40% left. Till today, the drainig came back and I dont know why:
I checked running process and there was something like that com.sonyericsson.usbdevice (dont know exactly but something with usb) I closed it and draining stopped...:-[
I suppose this process is related to charging and plugging to usb as the name suggest. Now I wonder if I can froze or delete this app?
Sent from my Xperia Arc
My battery life has been increased after rooting and removing bloatware apps & moving all my apps to sd.
The only issue is with the camera, after using it my battery goes up to 40-50 mAh, while im normally on 4mAh. So, we all hope for a software update by SE to fix it..
My battery is awesome. With 3G on, BT on, my Arc lasts at least 2 days under moderate use.
However, it seems that someones really have the battery drain issue. I dont understand why and how to solve it. Just like my X10, I got serious battery issue while I read many posts showing how good their battery time were.
