whats wrong? android has a nice ui.
Android theme
I guess I'm the only one that wants to see a simple clean theme. That may not be a good thing for Google. Maybe they should rethink this whole android thing.
i'd like an Android Theme too, or why not Android on my Windows Mobile Phone ?
Sadly i'm no good at skinning/themeing and the likes, but maybe someone will jump at this chance, who knows...
Great thread!
Android on WM phone? Is this possible??
It is not or do u mean dual booting??
It's possible on the Kaiser. Check out the Kaiser ROM development forum.

many WM phones have partially functional, bootable android builds....they run in RAM, as little as 64MB (Titan/Mogul)....think linux live cd's....
i imagine, when it is officially released, most WM5 and all WM6 PPC phones will be able to run android...
on any screenshot i found android looks different, so anyone knows the (nearly) finall look of android (picture please).
try this on ur own risk....

I guess you can't run iPhone apps on Windows Mobile devices, since they have a different OS.
But (I don't if that's even feasible), is there a way to make a translator, which would translate the programs written for iPhone OS, so they could be readable in the Windows Mobile OS?
or could there be an emulator, although it might go slow

Why would we want to cripple our device with being forced to sync with iTunes or accept only being able to bluetooth another iphone?
1. Apple would sue the hell out of XDAdevelopers.
2. If you want the iphone OS get an iphone
3. I doubt the iphone OS would even accept foreign phone drivers.
It wont happen. Drivers are one big issue in the way of it, also Apple is too closed, paranoid and litigious to let it ever happen.

No it's not the same thing.
Put WinMobile on an iphone is an attempt to make that device useful.
Installing the apple os in a HD2 is just the best way to have this smartphone locked, less interesting, ugly and useless
go to themes and apps, search for win 95.
thers the how to thread, in that theres a picture of apple os9 on a hd.
now happy
otherwise go to a scrapheap and get an iphone
Or just download one of the many iphone themes for wm6.5.
I think there was an article on the front psge about someone who imitated the entire UI
I saw a couple youtube videos of ios ported to android.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=An1jpm2UHYU&feature=related
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/ios-4-ported-successfully-to-htc-magic/
http://www.coveringweb.com/2010/09/ios-4-successfully-ported-to-htc-device.html
I'm sure there are lots of other vids out there.
well, my question is, where is this? did anyone ever make a working rom out of it? I have an incredible and even though ios is closed i would definitely love to try it, and lets be honest, ios is pretty smooth.
I know its slow, but i'd love to try it. have any android devs spent any time on this?
seriously, i know people would be interested in this rom if devs got it ported (to the incredible!!), as evidence, look how many people like miui
where is it?
thanks
http://www.google.com/search?client...+android+htc&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
there is a ton about this on google^
I know they say it runs super slow, but if someone worked on it i'm sure they could speed it up. (and it be pretty awesome anyway)
the thing is, i dont even know where the rom is (or if it exists, im starting to think it doesnt)
why the hell would you get an android phone to put an iphone theme(rom) on it???? sounds kinda stupid to me, why not just go buy an iphone??
Well it would be pretty cool to try. And the iPhone apps are pretty nice if they'd work.
The ui and apps are pretty good.

If you love ios looks but still love android you should try the MIUI rom, better, faster, and its based on android..

Not iOS
Sorry to burst your bubble but it's not iOS. You can see that the wallpaper scrolls as the user scrolls through the different home screens. That implementation is only on Android. It's probably just a cleverly made skin (right down to folders) used to simulate the iPhone. The two OS' are written in two different Linux kernels which makes it incompatible to be ported.
Yeah it would be neat though.
MIUI with the iphone theme installed?

I've not seen this before, i'd find it highly unlikely that it'll be done on this device, be nice to see it but i can't see it happening.
You can search on youtube or here is link which i saw. Later i searched for more video's and found many such video's.

It's just a custom rom that pretends to be iOS, this is what used in fake iPhones as well, they run android with a custom launcher.
Doubt this is real. How could a foreign os run on the android hardware systems? Theyre a completely different architecture. Quite convenient hes in a dark room every time
I think this video is fake... If you look better the indian guy is flashing this https://forum.xda-developers.com/a310/development/rom-ios-micromax-canvas-a311-t3383301 on a xiaomi redmi..
Btw, if you want the iOS look there are lot of launcher, locker, notifications bar etc around the play store :good:
EDIT: and if you go to look further you can see that is always android but with iOS like apps and the launcher is iLauncher that you can easy find on google search
Heavily themed Android ROM. Nothing more nothing less.
You're going to need to get yourself an iPhone if you crave iOS.

I do too, but pretty much every stock or custom ROM available for Android devices is going to be better than iOS, at least in my opinion. If you want iOS, you may as well just get an iPhone!

Lolzzzzz if i can effort to buy also i won't buy iPhone. As i said i like to use different rom. Now a day's all custom rom look are same just some tweaks and options change rest all same. No harsh feeling but i like to try different looks ROMs too. That's why i ask for this rom. Before there use to be port of rom from different devices.
As a user i shared my point, am not a developer.
Thanks for the response everyone.

Even though you feel all ROMs are generally the same, Android is still a lot more customizable than iOS. As other users have said, you can find a custom launcher/icon pack/etc. to make your device look like an iOS one. Try making an iPhone look like an Android.
Not trying to sway your opinion one way or the other, but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of options for the type of thing you want. You can either theme/customize your Android device to look like iOS, or just get an iOS device.

Sorry to dash your dreams OP - iOS is restricted strictly to Apple devices, I wouldn't be surprised if someone attempted to get it on another phone that wasn't an iPhone, but failed repeatedly.

Easy.. just buy an Oppo phone. It's an iPhone clone. Even the Android OS looks like iOS.
