Guys i can not deploy games on my WP7 hd2; is it because my device isn't Activated????? I can deploy apps though just fine... I want to deploy Fruit Ninja and NFS Undercover!
I just started trying wp7 but I know some games don't deploy because they require a live account which you need to call microsoft themselves to get. But we can't because it's not an official wp7 phone
I think you are right about that! I got an error message that says : Error deploying to the device. It seems to be a licensing problem with the application.
you have to unlock it

as object....I think i have to use a java machine emulator....but how do?THANKS  SO MUCH
Probably not. The S60 game will likely use the keypad, something you don't have on the Jam.
i know the keypad problem...but i think that some games can be played...anyone know how to run with a virtual java machine emulator?
What about the preinstalled midlet manager?
i have tried but works only some java apps, game -----nothing :x
I cannot find any java file that works on my JAM
Every Java file I install, I get a "Failed to run midlet"
Can you link me to an example that works?
Thanks
I had a test of quite a few games some time ago.
The discussion can be found here
Basically from what I found, some games work, other don't. That's about the best help I can offer
Ok so I am not a developer by any means, but I am an avid Facebook fan and a devoted Mob Wars player. And I have an idea, but no clue about its feasibility.
While it is possible to play Mob Wars by going to the full FB site on Opera Mobile, it would be amazing if somone/people could develop an application to access FB and the game and play a version of it that is optimized for PPC's. Perhaps a way to log in and go straight to the game and skip the FB home page and selecting the Mob Wars application. If you are not familiar with the game but are on FB check it out under the apps. It is easily the most popular FB application. And, I think it would make for a great PPC game, but would require online access, etc.
Any takers?! I have a feeling it would be really popular if possible and developed!
Since this is my idea, I would prefer that it work on my phone. I use a Sprint Vogue, stock ROM, M2D Iolite Version, WM 6.1. I have install compact framework 3.5 so I can work with that as well.
Thanks and Lemme know.
Did you ever get a responce to this or find another app to play on the phone?
I think it's a great idea, microsoft have released a facebook app which works, though it doesn't have facebook app support unfortunately.
The one problem with mobwars and opera is the way the code has DOM objects with his Ajax handling, you have to retype the URL in each time you fight or do a job.
I'd be more than happy to try and get something like this happening, though I'm not sure about copyright's and whatnot, so I've contacted the developers of mobwars and hopefully they get back to me.
I don't know how well I'll be able to do something like this, I have been developing software for windows for about 8 years and also have been a web developer for about 6-7. I've never written a windows mobile application so I wonder how it'll turn out.
I use a HTC Touch Pro with WM 6.1 and .net framework 3.5, so I'll start fiddling when I have some time and let you guys know how I go. I'm not sure how I'll go about getting permissions as I'm sure the program would require access to the database and what not, but as soon as I know stuff I'll make another post.
Feel free to message or email me about it if you have ideas or want to help.
Thanks,
Daniel
Hi there,
I have bought a Samsung D980, and I'm trying to develop a small java game to it.
The problem is that I getting problems everytime , I transfer my game from the PC to cellphone.
I even try the game in Nokia, and it works just fine.
Does anyone have develop a java game that runs on D980?
thanks
Jbed?
Have you downloaded the HTC Java file to your phone? I think its called Jbed.
Most phones dont have java on them, so to make a game for it you need this file in your windows folder.
Hope this helps!
The Samsung D980 don't use Windows Mobile, but a Samgsung OS.
You can check it here http://pt.samsungmobile.com/telemoveis/samsung-d980-specification
Java is designed for compiling once and running everywhere.
But in fact it needs compiling many times and debugging everywhere.
Because different manufactures have their own packages and even slightly different behavior for standard APIs.
It is normal that your java program works on Nokia but not other devices.
You need programming documents for your phone. Or ask Samsung.
Hi,
why games with openGL dont work.

What games? Some will work and others won't. Check compatibility from the games' developers...
"the games"? Mind pointing out what you are on about?
some games and apps even from marketplace dont work.
like:
Days 2 Birthday, WiToss, Bubble wrap, and more.
That's the "problem" with Windows mobile and the huge number of devices with very different hardware - some apps don't work on all.
Windows mobile 7 should theoretically solve that problem by unifying architectures and setting requirements for compliant devices...
Hi,
So iv asked this question in a few places now and no one seems to even address the question, looks like Genymotion is a none fully working software...
my problem is with Genymotion installed on windows 8 64bit, Arm 1.1 and Gapps installed. the game "Game of War" installed. nothing i do can make this game work ! it simply starts the game and a few seconds later the game shuts by its self... no error given.
I also tried different android versions (4.4.4 down to 4.1.1) from deferment manufacturers (nexus, Samsung, sony)
I would much appreciate any help !
attached you will find the logcat
Genymotion is an emulator. It doesn't have to support all hardware features. Your game most likely is using OpenGL. Genymotion simulate it with hardware that your PC has. Probably there is a problem
