New questions

I read and searched a lot on the forum before posting this.
1/ Why is there 1000 methods to flash a ROM?
2/ Do I need to do a partition in all cases?
3/ Is there a ROM for 32A that adds multi touch to my device?
4/ Might be a lot to ask but why is there no PROPER tutorial on how to install a ROM?
5/ Can I brick my phone?

I have found out using the forums that 32A do not support multitouch.

I use MyHero 1.1.3 (32A with BFS 303 kernel) and multitouch DOES work. But it needs to be supported by the software, works great in the browser for example.

Erm .. there's only one way to flash a rom ..
- Download rom and copy it to the sd card root folder
- Boot into recovery
- Do a nandroid backup
- wipe
- Flash the new rom
- reboot
4/ Might be a lot to ask but why is there no PROPER tutorial on how to install a ROM?

Look at the link in my signature, has all the detail an Android newbie needs.

Thats what I was thinking too
and my fav question out of the list:
Can I brick my phone?
Let me answer this one... from your list of questions I find it hard to believe you even know what "brick" means (no offense) but you should NOT even attempt to change anything about your phone except for whats in the menu>settings>sounds/display area
and I'll say it again no offense but people like this that have no idea what their doing is why the companies are so against us gaining root access because yeah theres some of us that understand what we are doing and the concept of linux but then you have these people that have NO CLUE then screw their phones up and guess who they call... not the dev, but the company crying about how they need a new phone...
Bottom line is if you dont know what you doing, DONT DO IT!

i am sick of waiting on t-mobile to send out the upgrade to my x10 so i need a guide on how to get 2.3.3 on my phone
im a complete noob when it comes to flashing and stuff so please as simple as possible, and thank you so much

That's the point. Go read and learn something instead of being lazy. The scripts being posted earlier were screwing up people's phones. I'll also add the wiki to the OP.

thanks for advice, i'm symbian retired and hacking symbian more easier than this shift one .
i will try to read from the begining, coz 1 mistake and my fone will dead forever, coz no HTC service center in Semarang-Indonesia X_X

The .exe of what? Have you read the thread? If you did, you'd know the RUU or the HTC sync exe is not a required step.
adb works on linux without drivers.

You need to do more research before attempting anything.....Start reading the threads and decide for yourself. Start by reading all the stickies here.

Having a problem rooting the phone.

So i have searched all over the forum ans im unable to post comment yet in the development thread..
