Hi,
We are trying to port the CM7 build to Samsung Spica i5700, We have made good progress and do have a build which is booting and working pretty good.
http://forum.samdroid.net/f62/rom-cyanogenmod-7-0-0-rc0-spica-alpha1-3802/
The only problem which makes this version not usable for daily use is the Sleep of Death Issue.

When the phone does to sleep it does not wake up. We have the same issue in CM as well as AOSP build of GB.
Can someone have a look at our sources and help us out if possible.

Anyhelp would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.

Hello together,
I hope someone maybe can help me out. In the past I comiled the standard CM11 kernel by myself. I just add a few minor tweaks for my display color calibration and so on. Nothing special.
Since CM11 I'm always stuck in a bootloop after the "Google" logo. Even if I try only the stock CM11 kernel without any changes. Same toolchain (4.7) and so on. Why is that the case?!
I hope someone, maybe from all the experiencened kernel creators here, can give me a hint where's my problem? Is it maybe something with all the SELinux stuff? It was also the case in CM10.2 if I tried to comile with modules enabled.
Help here would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Regards, Fred
OK, I answer this question myself. Just found out you have to compile the kernel inline with cyanogenmod. Sync the whole repo, initialize your device, make the changes to the kernel and compile it with make bootimage. This way I also have no need to use Anykernel script anymore.
Just IN....
The nice smooth LiquidSmooth with MarshMallow 6.0 and latest android-6.0.1_r10.
Install:
First time installing LiquidSmooth to your Find5, or coming from another ROM:
- Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (TWRP 2.8.6.0 recommended)
- Copy GApps and LS-MM-v6.0--YYYY-MM-DD-liquid_find5.zip to your internal SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET
- Flash LS-MM-v6.0--YYYY-MM-DD-liquid_find5.zip
- Flash GApps zip (I you don't need all Google feature, i recommend Opengapps, mini)
- Reboot
Works:
- Device boots
- Graphics working OK (No stress tests done)
- WiFi, bluetooth works
- Vibrator, sounds, apps, etc. works
Does not work:
- Cellular network is unavailable. I will fix this in my next update
- Minor things not tested (Please give your input or raise issues)
Cheers, Wolverine2k

Sorry guys. My repo is messed up now. I need to fix certain errors in kernel and cm13 frameworks before anything is delivered. Working on it...
I will test it out for you but i am not sure how I can help you. If you release the rom I will try to flash it.
I currently already have cm13 from wux on my find 5 running.

Ditto, and not sure if wuxianlin is going to release newer builds. Even with the existing bugs, I like CM13:
The big 3 problems with Oppo Find 5 CM13 builds are WiFi hotspot not working, bluetooth audio not working, video recording not working. If this is going to be an active ROM that will be maintained and I can help testing, I'll install it.
New build with Liquidsmooth this time. Help yourself...

Nope. All these things will work but right now I am stuck with simcard not being detected. Am trying to debug that. And get the camera profiles up and running.
Dear All,
I am changing companies and also moving computer builds these days. So I will not be able to work on this anymore. But hopefully, I will come back with an Oreo build for our beloved Find5. I will close all the other development threads that I have since no further development will take place on the older versions.

Hello,
So now we have the Z2 sources, Z2 Pro should come soon as-well, it would be great to start building ourselves a nice CM13 or RR. Sadly I am fully booked for the 2 next weeks and as it's my first CM build (despite I builded some ASOP already), it's going to take me a long time. So the goal of this thread is just to regroup and share the files so we can get ASAP to something stable.
Do we have the sources from the chinese CM13 Z2 Pro build ?
Thanks all !
I would love to contribute, but i'm a bit busy, too. It would be nice if someone could create a git for this project following the rules from cyanogenmod, to get this Phone an official release some time soon.
How To Port CyanogenMod Android To Your Own Device
https://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Doc:_porting_intro
Hey, I am fully Intrested in bringing up CyanogenMod for it, but.. Kernel Sources arr bad or something? I am trying to compile with aarch-arm64-androideabi- (gcc4.9) its like failing to build in signal.c
After years of taking from the community i decided to give back, as aclegg2011 moved onto pastures new i decided to start building RR unofficial with latest security and patch updates.
There may be bugs i tested on my device after compiling and everything is working as it should,
Would like to thank the Ressurection Remix team and everyone who helps maintain the repos and fixes.
Installation same as usual rom then gapps then reboot
tldr, i am not responsible for broken devices, i personally check the builds soon as its compiled for issues.

I see this is an unofficial build I'm currently running 5.8.2 wondering if 5.8.3 will actually go offical for us?
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

could you fix it?
Nice job OP. Luckily i see your thread and now i'm gonna try it on my s3 mini value edition
Update: I installed it and it is working well(expect the not working feature like camera, fixed volume level,etc.). And my model is GT-I8200Q. And please fix the fixed volume level issue(it is always at max level until mute it.). I can send you logcat or other things. The other issues is not important for me.
Asides from the aforementioned issues, I have an abysmal WiFi signal (0.05 mbps download). Other than that, great work in reviving a dead device!
work in 8200l?
i dont know if it its only me that has this problem but the wifi doesnt work, i tried flashing it with and without gapps, and i even factory reset it to see if it would do anything. the only thing it done was make the camera app appear, but it doesnt work anyway. can someone pls help me? i just want to finally install a newer version of android on this thing. btw it is an i8200n
@Grou4 Thank you, great start! Some more bugs tested with 8200n:
5 Ghz Wlan not at all
if wlan turned off only reboot will revive
Flashlight
enter standby with double tap statusline
open camera also doesn't work ;- )
Compass works perfect!
This Rom is no longer supported, right? Too bad!
