but now I see people updating the roms
I also want to do this but i just wanted to know if I had the HSPL or SPL
This is the info that I have in my Booting screen

I thought that updating would change it to SPL but I guess it didn't happen to me thank you so much for taking the time to respond
No problem.
I believe HSPL only gets overwritten if you flash an official stock ROM via the sd card. If you flashed one of the custom ones found here, they don't have the SPL.

Thanks both of you for your responce, It was origionally a vodafone phone, so i downloaded an official vodafone rom from the htc site and loaded that (thinking that it was the lastest official rom, but if you say its the oldest then it must be, but doent matter as long as its official )
Thanks guys for your help.

Is my phone back to stock?

ROM version 3.14.404.2 (04666)
Radioversion 2.15.50.14
Protocol version 15.42.50.11U
(R: 2.15.50.14
G: 15.42.50.11 u
B: 3.14.04666)
Volume down:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-3.03.0000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
Microp(TOUCH) 0x30
I hope someone is able to inform me whether this is what a stock rom should read. Because today my HD2 started suffering from the, apparently, infamous touchscreen issue. And miraculously the phone is still under warranty, and I do not want to mess this up .
Thank you very much
Yes, it is back to stock.

Yep that's stock. By the way did you try the method of simply pressing extremely hard on the end button? Sounds a bit caveman to me but from what I've heard it works extremely well and consistently.

Haha yeah I tried and it worked. Seems a bit weird though given it is still in warranty. Thanks again to you all, this community has never let me down
Not sure but don't you need to know which carrier and if the phone was eu or tmous before you can determine if he has the correct rom flashed?
From what I see it looks like TMOUS rom is that what you were going for?
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA
Could be either. Radio, ROM version and SPL version will match both variants on all carriers.
Just for the record the phone was 'repaired'. New screen Microp(TOUCH) 0x30 changed to Microp(TOUCH) 0x50.
Now however it has an issue which causes the HTC hd2 to reboot for no apparent reason.(No tasks running and screen off, and when I check a while later the simlock password screen is back up again)... so it seems it is going back to HTC pretty soon.

Techincally those versions are too new and not stock. You need to flash the rom from the original carrier in order to be truely stock. Since you have HD2 EU The radio should be 2.08 or less, spl should be 1.67 or less.

It hardly makes any difference, the settings he put on are perfectly passable as a phone which has been updated through the official stock ROM. Plus, seeing as he's already sent it, it's kind of pointless to post that now.

I've heard quite a few complaints from people whose phones aren't working properly after sending them in to HTC for repairs, so maybe it's just them. I assume you can send it in to them for free, so just do that rather than trying to do anything yourself and risking breaking it.
