Picture sharing - HTC Aria General

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I remember being able to share pictures straight off the internet browser straight to picture message. Am I right? Id rather do that than download every image I want to share if I'm trying to share something from Google images. But I don't see this option now,but do remember doing that some time in the past, maybe..

I'm not sure if it's rom or browser specific, but running cm6 and Miren browser I can just long press an image online and i get a pop up with the share option and I can just stick it straight to a text.
Sent from my cm6.1 Aria using XDA App

Yeah it most likely is a rom/browser thing because thinking back Im pretty sure I was able to share in that same way before I rooted and flashed. I guess I'll just have to get a different browser

I highly recommend miren. I've used the stock browser,.dolphin and opera, and in. my opinion miren is the best. It's got enough features and us very fast.
Sent from my cm6.1 Aria using XDA App

Alright just downloaded it
Thanks a lot sir.
EDIT: Actually I dont think this is what I was looking for. I thought that I actually share the image and not just a link.
Someone on the stock browser should confirm or disprove this for me please.

It may be a rom feature then. I don't have the stock browser installed to compare it to.
EDIT: and I'm talking sharing pics straight to text, not links. The actual pic gets inserted into the message. But now I'm not sure cause on cm7 miren just force closes and dolphin doesn't have the option to share.

Hmm see when I tried to share via web with miren to a pic msg only the link gets inserted /:
I was almost positive that it should work like you stated, sending the actual picture

Froyo Browser (Uploading photos)

Did anyone notice that in the 2.2 froyo update on the browser you can go to for example tinypic and actually select a picture to upload from your phone itself and have it upload to make a URL for? That's amazing! I've been waiting for the browser to be able to do that. It worked on Craigslist as well.

[Q] stock android browser

is there anyway to install stock android browser on the epic? i believe it's better than the one on the epic or is it the same?
Try asking in the general section -- this forum is for development threads like ROMs, kernels, and other projects
Our browser is stock. And yes, this belongs in General.
It's stock, but oddly enough, Sptint, Facebook, and Google's mobile sites ALL identify it as an Intercept. I call that laziness. And also probably the reason for a lot of problems.
Threw dolphin hd browser is awesome.

My bad for posting the wrong section. If a mod can please move. Anyone knows how to remove the zoom buttons on the bottom of the browser or maybe a tweaked apk a dev could make to remove them? There so dam anoying! Btw can the evo browser be installed on the epic?

Stock browser is good, but if you want, what I think might be the fastest android browser (sans server side rendering a la opera mini), then I highly suggest the new xscope browser. It looks great too.

I just downloaded the dolphin hd browser and it is awesome. Just wish those menus didn't slide in when I scroll left or right.
Any of the browsers above support some kind of flash

I second this, the Xscope browser is by far the best browser out there. Better than Dolphin HD. I have used them all and it is fast and light. I don't even know why anyone would want to put the Evo browser on there phone. What a POS.

Getting Sprint-Zone back?

Alrighty well I'm running a custom ROM (Baked Snacks v1.3 to be exact) and I'm loving it, though, I failed to notice that Sprint Apps were removed, which is fine, I don't care about most of them, but I use Sprint-Zone ALOT.
Anyway to flash it in, or an APK or something? Would like to continue running on BSv1.3 and have Sprint Zone. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Nobody? :/

Help any? I don't have it anymore to see if its still valid.
I notice that sprint zone gives you a link to your accounts information. It seems to just open up your web browser. Maybe just bookmark to the link(to sprints mobile site) for quick access.
Thunder, you are a life saver! lol. Thank you. Wouldnt happen to have a link for the newest version of Sprint TV too would ya?

Flash for 2.1

I have downloaded and installed Flash 10.1 on my EPIC 4G using instructions found on the web.
My EPIC's stock browser and the Dolphin HD browser still do not display flash content. Any ideas?

...... that's because Flash doesn't work on 2.1.
Period.
We have Flash Lite but that doesn't really count.
Try the stock browser

Doesn't work, at all. No matter what you read online. Believe me, I have tried.
it does work... so does search... lookie here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=792231
Flash through skyfire is not the same as flash on the device. Skyfire converts flash video server side so games will not work, only video.
Flash on 2.1 does not work on the epic. Even if you install it, it uses flash lite.
Nobody has ever shown me proof that it works. If I'm wrong I would love to be proven wrong though.
Sent from my Epic 4g using XDA App
We will have to wait for froyo for flash. Bo real flash on 2.1 . Skyfire doesn not count they just convert flash video on their servers into playable format. And hulu has them blocked:-(

I was able to get some type of flash working with my phone...
I can only assume its flash anyways since it works on facebook flash games and albinoblacksheep games.

That's weird. I just played some flash games no problem when I couldn't before. Maybe it will
work if only flash 9 is required but not 10.1
I'll fully admit I was wrong in my initial reply. So flash is working, flash 10.1 is not. This means some things will work fine, some will not.

Have you tried going in to Dolphin Hd and changing user agent from android to desktop as well?
This does make a difference

No clue how this could help. The same content that doesn't work in the browser doesn't work when I point it directly at the swf. I'll give it a shot though.

Well that would be because in android phone mode it compresses everything down so small to make things more legible.
While in desktop mode it's meant to give you a full and rich desktop like experience. It's supposed to include flash content in this mode.

I was having this problem yesterday with the stock android browser. I went into "settings" on the browser and cleared the cookies, cache, and browsing history and it fixed the problem. I'm pretty sure you only need to clear the cookies to resolve the problem though.
Or try a different browser on your phone. Dolphin, opera, stock.....
