So I put my sim in the other day and the phone shuts down as normal however it would not reboot.
When it tried I got the intermittent vibrate. I was able to boot both into d/l mode and reset. I tried to do a factory reset but the tablet would not perform the function.
I hooked it up to odin and reflashed rotojma and its back up and running.
I hot swap my sim all the time and this is the first time this has happened.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

I loaded Yuki's ROM and updated to Mango via Zune. Had it running for about a week before I discovered that when I turn off the phone and then turn back on, it gets stuck at the point where it should be loading the home screen. I get the time at the top and that's it; the phone is completely unresponsive. The only fix I found was to do a hard reset and start over. I thought maybe an application caused this so after the reset, I turned off the phone before loading any other applications. It got stuck again at the same place. I suppose this could be linked to the sd card and I'll try a different one. Just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this problem.
--Edit--
I've linked my issue to the sd unlock cab. As long as I don't install, mango restarts with no problems.
I've had this a few times.
Usually get the lockup at the SIM password screen.
Just reboot again and it will come back. Sometimes a couple of boots are needed.
I have a supported Sandisk card BTW.
Thanks. I've given it 2 tries before the reset but not more. I'll try to be more patient with it this time...or just avoid turning it off
I had the same problem as well, reflashed it with the same problem. after doing about 3 hard resets it finally worked.
I'm getting this continually, every time i reset i end up having to hard reset...
Hi!
I've got an N910C with Lollipop ( I did a factory reset after upgrading and cleared cache) . It randomly decides to reboot, and will keep doing so. After a reboot, I can use it for about a minute till it reboots again. Booting into safe mode fixes it temporarily and it stays fine after safe mode, a regular reboot doesn't help.
I'd prefer not to factory reset, and would like to find the cause (app/sd card? Sandisk 8GB btw)
Cheers, thanks!
My N910A does the same thing except the times it reboots can vary from a minute to an hour later, but it reboots a lot.
Doesn't happen in safe mode only regular boot mode. That tells me it's either an app or SD card.
I swapped SD cards and same issue. I wish there was a log I could look at to see what app is running at the time of reboot, but haven't found any logs that have that info.
I'm stuck and running out of ideas.
Try factory reset again man and remove Sd and try to boot it

Hi guys,
I am having problems on my S7 Edge. The phone is stuck in a black screen and I tried restarting my phone by holding Volume Down + Power + Home for over a minute with no success. The phone is stock and rooted with TWRP and has been working fine for the last couple months. I tried plugging the power cable in and the battery screens shows up and I am able to restart my phone when the power is plugged in (battery over 80%). At this point it starts but after the Samsung logo appears it crashes again. I tried running the phone in safe mode but that did not work either. I am able to boot the phone into recovery mode and tried doing a Dalvik cache wipe. I get to the screen where Android is installing apps and after all apps got optimized it showed the home screen for about two seconds before crashing again.
After some more troubleshooting I took the sim card out and the phone is now running fine but whenever I put the sim card back in it crashes again. I tried turning airplane mode on and putting the sim card in which worked but once I turned airplane mode off it crashed again. My phone is Canadian version under Bell carrier. Just wondering if it is possible for a sim card to become corrupt and crash my phone like this? Are there any other areas I should check?
If anyone has some tips on what I can try it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Flash the latest Firmware using Odin by following this Tutorial step by step. Read everything at least once before you start the process!
Yes, it's possible for a SIM card, like anything else, to fail. Before messing with your factory software, I'd visit a carrier store and see if they'll let you try a different SIM.
So basically this rom is awesome but it had only one problem. When I plugged my phone in the charger while it was turned off, it bootlooped until I restarted with the cable off. It was no big deal and nothing bad ever came out of it.
Yesterday my batter ran out while I was asleep and when I woke up it was already turned off. I, absentmindly, tried to turn it on, LG Logo, off again. Did it one more time, nothing happened, realized it's out of battery. Plugged in charger, try to turn it off/on, usual bootloop happens. Say ok and proceed with what I always did, phone gets past LG Logo, goes into SlimLP boot animation and for the first it has just stayed there. No restarts, just endless loading. Longest i Left it on to load was about 45 minutes. Never got back on.
Apart from that, I think that for some reason my recovery got uninstalled somehow, by itself, a few weeks ago. I only noticed this because before, when I wanted to get into recovery, I pressed the usual buttons and it went straight into TWRP. Now the same buttons take me to the "Factory reset screen". I know that everyone says to just go ahead and press power, but I am afraid, since I am not sure if TWRP is still functioning. This happened to me another time on the same phone, and when I confirmed the factory reset, it factory resetted.
My problem here is that I want to get my music and photos. I'm only able to enter that factory reset screen and download mode. Can I "flash" twrp safely from download mode? Should I use Flash Tool 2014 and Normal flash(which says it keeps the data) a stock g2 rom? Can I mount my phone to the computer in download mode to copy my files? I want the most risk-free approach.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, first If you can enter download mode I think you can flash kdz (Kitkat) file to stock using Flash Tool 2014. But I had this problem once and the keep data flashing didn't work (stucked at 50%), I ended up flashed it with other option (erased all data).
2. You can try the "Factory reset" nice and easy.
I think you can't see files on the device unless you enter Twrp.
It's wise to backup your phone on the computer montly or so, thank you.
I went ahead and nuked my download mode using the SRK tools. Then got access to fastboot, through which I booted to twrp and then I could move my files. All's fine, flashed my ROM again and it's going better than ever.
Yesterday, the phone was fine. Then, it was suddenly off even though it had plenty of battery and would not power on. Plugged in and verified battery, then tried vol down and power. This began a boot loop when the phone was plugged in where the samsung screen came up, phone would vibrate, then it would go off and loop again over and over. If unplugged, it does not function at all. I could not get it to open in to the recovery screen. This morning, plugged in again and it immediately went to recovery. I tried clearing cache and rebooting, but another boot loop. It does not always go to recovery, so after much effort, I got it back to that point and selected clear data and factory reset. It again went to the boot loop. There is now an error when I can get it to recovery that is dir ‘/system/carrier/ATT/priv-app/AttIqi_ATT' . I went to Sammobile and downloaded Odin hoping to flash to this. Unfortunately, the phone only has power when it is plugged in and I cannot get the phone in to recovery mode when plugged in to the computer that has Odin on it. Even if I could, I would not be able to follow the steps. Looking for other ideas of how to make this work.
