Today I finally rerooted and clockworked after updating OTA to DL09 and now I have no haptic feedback. What can I do to fix this?

That's odd, make sure your baseband version is DL09. Did you have haptic before you rooted and got recovery?
Which clockwork package did you Odin? You need to follow the instructions in adrynalyne's clockworkmod for dj05/dl09 thread.

I have no clue what you mean by baseband. But yes I had haptic before and after I rooted but after recovery it stopped working.

I used the method mentioned in the beginners guide sticky.

Go into settings, scroll down to the bottom and go into "About Phone". Then scroll to the bottom again and there should be a few version numbers for your phone. Reply with these three:
Firmware version:
Baseband version:
Build number:
The original CWMrecovery.tar also flashes an old kernel. You'll need to flash a DL09 kernel to get haptic back.

Firmware: 2.1-update1
Baseband: S:i500.04 V.DL09
Build Number: SCH-i500.DL09
Ok, do you have a link for the kernal I should use for this?
Try flashing this and let us know.
How exactly do i flash this? Just through clockwork? Sorry for being so noobish, I am more linuxy than androidy.
EDIT: Figured it out! Thank you all so very much.
You're welcome! Now that you've flashed your first rom/kernel, the real fun begins.

Ahh, so that's why my haptic stopped working after I flashed CWM the first time. I installed jt's voodoo5 kernel shortly afterward, which fixed it, and also made my phone zippier than it's ever been.

Did you bother reading any info about the modem that you flashed? If you had, you would have seen that having a baseband and build that don't match will cause the exact issue you're seeing. Either finish updating to DJ05, update again to DL09, or roll back to DI01.
How would I finish updating dJ05 I installed the modem the Kernal is stupidfast 1.54 and I installed the rom please explain to me what connects the baseband and build like what part

What ROM did you install? Is the ROM you installed a DJ05 rom? Odds are it isn't if text messaging isn't working.
Super clean full should I try the other one for dj05 the full doesn't specify

This is the only SuperClean DJ05 ROM. Not sure what SuperClean Full is.

Finally got it to work...... finally but is there such thing as a orange clockwork? I'm not sure if its just me but this red clockwork looks more like orange darkish color? Anyone confirm?

I had a problem using the stock kernel. Would boot to blue recovery and i would have to do update.zip to get into red. I cured this by switching to jts voodoo kernel. I think you can use that kernel for nonvoodoo installs. Look at the thread in the development section.

Cool thx. Red recovery 2.5.1.x the new one?
Stock kernel is non voodoo? Or voodoo?

The stock kernel that comes with the rom. My home button does work but dont have haptic feedback. But the rest works perfectly. I know somebody can point me what did i mess up in my phone. And give me a good fix.... thanks in an advance...

The kernel with that rom is a custom kernel and key layout is designed in the rom for it only. If you've done the back up and don't have haptic that's very odd as haptic is now native to Samsung GB. I suggest re-flashing the kernel by using sgs kernel flasher and choose the rom zip as the kernel. It will auto extract only the kernel.
Other than that you can reflash the rom by simply flashing cf-root 3.2 and then use cwm app to flash the rom. It wont do a wipe this time because the new script will auto detect that you already have 3.5 so all your settings and apps will remain intact.

Hey guys, ive factory reset, wiped data and cache however whenever I root and flash a rom my sms is not functioning. Any help would be greatly appreciated.thanks

What baseband, what rom are you using?
DI01 baseband. Stock rom. Just tried to flash evil once rooted. Sms was the only thing that didn't work. I've had same issue on other roms.

You will lose sms with that radio on EF. I would Odin DL09 and from there ota to ED04 or use the zip files found in the development section to get to the modem you want.
Keep me Fascinated.
Sounds like I can handle it, could I be a douche and ask for link to thread with odin file for dl09, pretty please?

EC03 to EC07 (Miunia Beta-4)
Looking at Miunia Beta-4 EC07. Just wanted to make sure of the process in going from EC03 to this version...all I have to do is flash this via Odin and I will be able to keep all my data, etc..? Do I need to clear caches via CWM?
And of course my next silly question...when flashing in Odin, this means putting the phone in download mode and using the PDA option ?
Any help would be appreciated...thanks!
Yes, put phone in download mode. Clear cache, system, data, dbdata, and the dalvik.
Load miunia into the pda section of Odin, and flash. This will not update the modem however, you will have to flash the modem seperate. If you give me a few hours I will make a flashable modem image, otherwise flash the modem first, then flash miunia. Sorry for any errors, I'm tweekin out at the gym, to much preworkout supps.

I can't speak to whether or not Pattielipp ever made a flashable modem, but the rom is in both the dev section and on his miunia thread. If no flashable was made, the easiest way to get the proper modem is to flash the ec07.tar from the dev section in odin. If you are on any build other than ec07, DO NOT CHECK AUTO REBOOT. Once you flash it, put your phone directly back into download mode and flash miunia.
