How change system waring sound?
I have fu#%ing annoying sound, like alarm clock instead default "beep" sound. I don't now what in my kitchen changing this sound (I tried everything, checked any EXT Package)
I using:
osKitchenZero 1.33.5
WM 6.5.5 bulid 23563
You can disable the alarm beep in Settings => Sounds & Notifications => Uncheck alert on system events
If you want another sound, you should replace the .wav file in the \\Windows directory that corresponds to your "beep"-sound

You couldn't find it? That's maybe because "Show all files" was unselected in File Explorer?

If you're refering to the standard clock and alarm application, then start the clock application, go the alarm tab, the click on the alarm icon on right. A notification screen will be shown. There you can use the pull down window to change the alarm to anything you want.
Thanks, that's what I was looking for.
Another question: can I add more tones, maybe some kind of music ?

Have'nt tried it, but I suppose if you store the music as a .wav file in the window directory that should show up as one of the possible items to be picked.
This seems to work,
however any good music converted to .wav eats up too much memory.
Is there any possibility to redirect the alarm-tone directory to microdrive ?
Dieter

No settings here. Convert your mp3 file into wav. Then just copy-paste your new file in windows folder. You will find the new desired audio file in alarm settings.
Hope I was useful.
You can simply go to the "Music" Touch Flo tab and then select the lower left button "library".
Select a song and click the "Menu" button. There you will find an option to use the song as ring tone.

Get a .wav soundfile and place it in /windows folder.
Then that ringtone will appear in the alarm's tones section, choose it, and there you go

try going into settings, sounds, and then look for notification sounds and try to disable them.
or when you are on settings, in right down corner tap on menu, and display all settings, and then go into sounds.
i think i had the same problem - which ROM are you running? as long as i remember it change when i flashed 1,48 rom...

This makes the alarm sound longer, but it still only sounds once. There is no option for "make the sound repeat forever" or "repeat the sound for 2 minutes".

what about then the calendar alarms? will they go off if you disable notification sounds?
have you checked the following:
go to:
settings > menu > all settings > clock & alarms > alarms tab
click on the little bell above the time..
see if "repeat sound" is checked

it is but...
... this allows the alarm to be played only twice insteda of once
... my question was different: if i set notifications to off, will the calndar reminders play?
Download an audio editing program like Audacity and loop the file 20 times. This should do the trick.
Is it just me or is the windows mobile alarm really incompetent waking people up??
It would be nice if it could read MP3 files and play infinte times...
Looks like a bug,,,
Set an alarm by using the link on the manila home screen. Choose a sound for that alarm.
Now go settings - menu - all settings - clocks and alarms - alarms - tab and edit the alarm you have just set, , no sound selected, which means that the 'repeat and vibrate ' option below it isn't repeating the sound we set in the manila alarms screen. Choose a sound here and it works.
EDIT - OK, ignore the above, no it doesnt, it just plays both sounds, twice, then waits a minute then plays them again, then nothing.

This cannot be fixed by HTC: it is a WM issue...
then please tell me why I haven't got this issue with any other winmo devices, huh? it is htc who's responsible for rom on leo, not ms.
Hello,
Does anybody know how to disable the "beep sounds", when dialing a telephone number?

try hd2 tweak
Isn't there a reg key that can be changed?
Heared that hd2 tweak is conflicting with an other tweak app?

I think i've found the location of the sound files would need some one to confirm though ...
HKCU/ControlPanel\Sounds\DTMF
DTMF#
DTMF*
DTMF1
DTMF2
ECT.
Don't quite know how to disable though maybe just remove them?
OK i can confirm.. I just deleted DTMF* and upon pressing the * key it will not make a sound.
So just try modifying them rather than delting them.
why not just go in Start>Settings>Personal>Phone and choose keypad off?

LOL! Yeah that is alot easier
There's an easier way to disable the sounds when dialing a number.
Just go in Start menu > Settings > Menu (in the bottom of the settings tab) > More > Personal > Phone (next to Owner informations)
Here you can desactivate the keys sounds.
EDIT : I was late

I did something similar the other week. I looked for a complicated solution to a simple problem.
Is it possible to get rid of the "water splash" sound & any others that are heard when the Lock Screen is swiped?

Yes you can change sounds. I changed my water drop sounds to the sound of the space key on the keyboard. I used root explorer and renamed sound files I didn't like to .bak and copy and pasted space button and then renamed the file with .ogg on the end.
Sounds can be found in system/media/audio/UI

I'm sorry, I should have been more clear, ... can I make it silent. I am stock ROM ... Complete factory, & want to stay that way, can I silence it in OEM trim, Sir?

Yes just name the sound files you don't want from .ogg to .bak and that's all. If you name the file to .bak or whatever you want to name the end of file it will keep the file there in case you want to go back. If you want to go back just rename to .ogg
Or just go into Settings, Sounds, & untick screenlock sounds.
Hope this helps.

There you go, ... this one did it ... I do not know how I missed this Option in the past, but I thank you for pointing it out to me.
I tried doing it the other way, but I could not since I had not gained Root yet.
Thanks again.
