Hi All!
I am now trying to make a widget with my app. I hv read some online materials and learn about that widgets used RemoteView, and it has many limatations.
I wonder if i still can 'draw' graphics onto a widgets? eg using canvas? I hv tried to find details on google but not success>.<
can anyone give me some help on it? thx!

I have been trying to add items to the custom screen on my O2 XDA mini s and am having a few problems.
I have things such as Word/Excel/Powerpoint/Mediaplayer/Notes on there but would like to have the Pictures and Videos link and My Documents or just any folder I choose but these will not get selected.
I have no other software installed onther than that which it came with.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i have search all over and i can't find the really cool looking weather widget for the hero rom, or the clock widget on the main screen of the pictures of android rosie. can someone please provide the link for the files. thanx

Nope, your cannot use it atm with other roms without rosie ui, i think it is currently paired with rosie ui. Unless rom developers could port the widgets to the traditional Launcher.

I'm also having problems with the hero HTC widgets...where can I find them and install? Also, is anyone else having problems with the the market? I can't download or install any apps..

Has anyone got any nice wallpaper they can share or knoe of any downloads? Im specifically looking for the panoramic kind that fits accross the HTC Sense interface. Theres a couple of nice fields and landscapes on the memory card supplied but more is always better.

Hey all,
Question for the geniuses in here, the HD2 HTC weather app built into the phone, can it be exported and put in another phone? Personally I like the way it eye candies the home screen if it’s cold or raining and such. Does anyone know of a similar weather app for other HTC phones? I personally have the GSM Touch Pro 2 and the HD2 weather app would be beautiful on this phone. Can this be done has it been done or does anyone know of any similar cool looking weather apps?

Hello!
The weather on the homescreen is not part of the normal touch HD software.
To get this (and other features) you will need to flash a 'custom ROM'.
these are basically modified versions of the software, with features taken from newer HTC devices (e.g. touch diamond2 and HD2).
Its not difficult, but you will have to read the instructions carefully and take care, as it is possible to brick your device if you don't do it correctly.
Once you have learnt how it is done, you can flash news ROMs quickly and easily.
If you really want to do it, set yourself a couple of hours, and read through all the info in the 'Flashing' part of the wiki here:

my recommended ROMs are below (see signature)...
However i really dont want to change the stand feel off the phone, cant you change it to the HD2 display? As i dont want new fancy looking buttons that make the phone look arful.

you cant get the weather homescreen without using a custom ROM
Try the Topix Windows mobile 6.1 ROM, it will add home screen weather, but does not have many of the other features of the HD2
