Not at all.
You could however try to put your apps 2 sd.
(search apps2sd, apps2ext(4) or data.img in nand forum...)

what he's saying (while being a bit rude) is that you can't change your phones internal storage. Its a hardware issue. You can however, install software like app2sd or something similar that will allow you to move many of your apps and data to your sd card, thus freeing up some of your phones internal storage. However, 230mb internal isn't really too bad. Your 8 gb sdcard you mentioned is EXternal storage.
Hope this helps some

There's been a solution for this since a long time. Search Google and xda for 'App2sd+'. It's a patch that'll enable you to create a special partition on the SD card to move any app to it (all non-core apps, not just ones which are explicitly enabled). The easiest way to get this feature is to use the latest CyanogenMod 7.2 RC1 ROM. It has it included by default and you can enable it in Settings>CyanogenMod settings.

You can also use a guide from 3xeno, search in development section, thread is called custom mtd partitions. The only thing is that with sense roms you won't manage lot, but its great with customs like cm.

a2sd partition ext3 and fat32 partition on the SD card, can be solved with too little memory, the software will be stored in ext3 and fat32

This program claims to be able to undelete files from an Android phone.
You might be screwed, however.
Hiya,
It seems you can't mount the 7.7 as an external drive so the software can't access the base filesystem.
Any ideas on if/how this is possible?
Thx

I got the same problem, all recovery tools will not work unless we can connect the internal memory to PC as Mass Storage .

Swap partition

Hi,
I am using SDSL 4.0 .
It is really awesome Rom. Almost everyting working!
Thanks miro!
I herd about SWAP PARTITION . I don't know anyting about it.
Please tell me WHAT IS SWAP PARTITION ? HOW IT IS USEFUL? HOW CAN I USE IT?

swap partition is a partition (little part) on the SD card. its usually ~32-512 MB big.
swap is a little help for the RAM. big apps can be transferred to this partition if the RAM is full.
on gt540 ics/jb ROMs need swap to work properly, buzt on the other side it slows down the whole system especially with a slow SD card.
for gingerbread ROMs it's not needed but MAY improve your experience
How can i make swap partition ?
It is properly run on sdsl?
How can i transfered app to swap partition when Rom is full?
I also know more about this partition ?
Which type of partition should i make?and how?

I made a sticky thread in the dev forum about how to make one. I think i better clear somethings up, swap is used by the system to be (RAM) If you want more space to install apps then that is a totally different partition type.

Or just standard SD, which gives FCs when you move apps to the SD card (the data.img is read by the system as being internal storage). Not too sure about NativeSD but I think apps should work fine on that when placed on the SD card.
Yes, i have standart Micro sd. I do not now that problem.. When i move little apps on sd they work greatly būt when some bigger app (example - 15mb,yeah) thats notiks work and only said "not responding" and i have only once chance to force close that app.

CM 10.1 mounts in the internal SD in the proper root directory: /sdcard/
Just a thought if it's a deal breaking feature for you.
EDIT: I'm actually not sure this can be done on CM10.1 either....
Edit: ive just found out a day ago that if u install the international version of software that has been pushed out as an ota update it has this done ! Apps 2 sd!! But still have to wait for ours on att. Or hopefully a dev will code it into a rom for us . I was just actually mad becuz the sell it as internal sd storage when it really is not separate from the phone memory that the system is on . I had a captivate that had it separated. But still loving the phone regardless.
