Hello,
I've bought this unlocked Samsung Galaxy 3 GT-i5800 from a North American seller on Amazon, and I got a friend to bring me it to Brazil, where it worked fine for exact 10 days with a SIM from my local carrier
But then, out of nothing, it started asking for the "SIM Network Unlock PIN" when I turn it on.
I feel like if I had bought a 10 days trial-version of a phone.
I've contacted the seller on Amazon and they just said "The item we sold you was unlocked!".
Please not that I had at the point never rooted, flashed, upgraded, or done anything nasty on my phone.
I don't even know to which carrier I'm locked to! Have anyone heard about something similar?

Ok so I bought an Atrix off eBay about a month ago. Bought an unlock code from someone on eBay... everything went fine, Phone unlocked perfectly (Using Simple Mobile for phone service aka t-mobiles towers). Problem is now I've bought
another for my wife. Did the same thing... Bought the unlock code from the same exact person. however, this time instead of getting an email with an unlock code, I got an email with this...
"no code avail. we will refund phone is refurbished"
...So what do I do now. I thought that I have unlocked a refurbished phone before. I could try to return the phone (buyer said 7 day return policy) I picked this phone up for $180 and the condition of the phone is perfect. So I would love to not have to return it.
Thanks!!!
Try a different unlocker service?
I know when I got a refurb warranty phone ATT couldn't give me the unlock code immediately (they were able to with my original non-refurb). It took a support case and 7 days for them to get it.
<conjecture> I think something is done with the IMEI to change it, which throws off all the normal unlock code stuff.
Thanks.. I just called AT&T and told them my situation, and they just gave me an 8 digit code to put in... it worked great. I feel like I remember my other atrix was a 16 digit code, but Im really not sure.
I m Italian and my english is not good
I have atrix 4g At&t and i can't unlock this phone Refurbished buy with internet
I have used
many site with code... but nothing
At&t chat and facebook (but no and for my english)
Motorola Italia no help me
I have promise payment at At&t for code but nothing
I can pay 100 dollars (paypal payment) for anyone help me
I've used my phone N900T for about 10 days, all of sudden, it stopped connecting to network(carrier) yesterday. I tried everything but no effect. Sim card was good when I put it back to my N7000.
Today I went to tmobile store as was told that the IMEI was blocked by Tmobile, reason "fraud". They told me that maybe the source of the phone was not good, say stolen, and that's the reason.
Called Negri and they asked me to file a RMA to exchange the device. Hopefully this would work out.
Am I so lucky that I should buy some powerball..?
Hi all,
I have been a lurker for god knows how long, and have to say, I truly enjoy the posts on this website.
I purchased an S7 Galaxy Edge (SIM-free) from "Currys/PC World" in the UK. After a month or so of using it, the phone just died one night. Had all sorts of errors in recovery mode, so sent it back to Samsung for repair. 12 days later, I receive the phone back, excited. I switch it on and it starts working. What I sigh of relief. Wait...
I am then asked for a Network Unlock code!
Has anyone experienced this before? I spoke to the Samsung and they have confirmed that the unique code of the phone is tied to a Network and when they rebuilt the motherboard and flashed the phone, it went back to default (which included a network lock).
Now, who is at fault? The retailer who sold me a "SIM-free" phone, which in fact was a network locked phone but unlocked with a code? Samsung, for re-locking the phone?
I have gone round and round and no one is owning up to it. The phone is locked to EE (with whom have never dealt with). My SIM is from Three, UK.
Advice / Suggestions anyone? Thanks, and much appreciated!

Simply take it back to currys with the receipt and tell them its locked and you either want your money back or they pay to unlock it, or save messing about, spend a few quid and buy a network unlock code off ebay or something and unlock yourself, will cost you £12
From the stories I'm hearing about Samslow, this will be the first and last Samsung phone I ever buy, I hate this phone, can wait for my next upgrade.
I'm not sure if I'm in the right forum for this but I don't know where else to go with it. Long story short, I bought this TMobile locked Samsung s7 edge from a local guy who said he bought it outright no contract. He didn't say it was s locked I assumed it was unlocked (yeah...I know) anyway I use a different cell phon carrier which I won't work. I've called tmobile 4x and they can't/won't unlock it but they t ok me the IMEI is good. But the guy will not contact me back about getting the phone unlocked...I think out my money and options. I was t old that it needs to be unlocked remotely not just a code I paid a site to try the code and they couldn't do it.
Any advice/help or experience with this kind of situation?
You can check here in case it was bought from samsung by original seller - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3592266

The guy I bought it from said he bought it outright, no contract and when I contacted him about not being able to unlock it he said when he asked tmobile about it that could not find it in their system and I'd have to get it unlocked online. I've tried several sites already and no one does it remotely.
Try calling TMobile and they should unlock it right away. If they won't do it, you might need to contact the person who purchased the phone and tell them to give tmobile a call. Clean IMEI does not mean it is still carrier locked. It just means the phone isnt marked as lost/stolen. My S7 Edge won't unlock in the app even though I am already out of contract. After I called them, they did something in their system and instructed me to reboot then try again, and it unlocked in the unlock app directly. "Unlock Codes" DOES NOT work with tmobile s7 as you are required to do it in the app.
Hi there all! I'm posting in the hope this information might help others. I purchased an unlocked S10+ from eBay, but it had a bad motherboard. I sent it in to Samsung for warranty repair, and when they sent it back, they had locked the phone again. I wasted a bunch of time calling Samsung, T-Mobile and Sprint to no avail, until I discovered the international travel department at Sprint. They were able to unlock the phone again for me, and I can confirm that another XDA forum user was able to unlock their phone using my advice. In order to do this, they did have to confirm that the phone had been previously unlocked by Sprint, which they verified by looking up the IMEI number in their system. If you have a phone that was not previously unlocked by Sprint, this method will probably not work.
I called this number: 888-226-7212
That is the Sprint International department. They handle problems for people who are traveling overseas, like making sure they have the right plan, issues with connecting to foreign networks, and unlocking phones for people who need to use foreign SIM cards. I explained approximately as follows, "Hi there, I'm not a Sprint customer, but I'm looking for your help because I purchased a Sprint branded Galaxy S10+ that has a clean IMEI, is not stolen, is not blacklisted, and was already previously unlocked by Sprint. My problem is that my phone had a bad motherboard, and I sent it to Samsung for a warranty repair, and at the factory they had to put in a new motherboard and reinstall the software to factory settings, and unfortunately in the process they locked the phone up again."
She was very helpful, looked up my IMEI, confirmed that it was not blacklisted and she said, "I see that phone is already unlocked." I said, "Yeah, that's the problem... It was already unlocked by Sprint, but now it's locked again because of Samsung, and I don't know what to do, but I need it unlocked because right now I just can't use it." She said, "Yeah, that's not good, and I understand why you're distressed. I want to help you, can you please hold?" So then she had me on hold for a while, checked in on me a couple times, and after about 20 minutes, she finally came back and said, "I spoke to my technicians and they sent a "lock and then unlock" command to your phone. It could take up to 24 hours, so just be patient."
The next day, I inserted my T-Mobile SIM card and I had to reboot a couple of times, but VOILA, it worked!!! I can't believe it. Give this a try, be very nice, of course, and let me know below if it worked for you! If it doesn't work the first time, try again and see if you get a more helpful person. The other person who followed my advice said they had to call 3 times before they finally reached someone who understood the problem and was willing to help!
Good luck!
You can use samtool to unlock s10, note10 sprint, it support unlock directly via usb cable !
