Ill be honest, I do love 2.2. I just feel as if I want to downgrade back to AT&T Stock 1.6 so I can get the update pushed from them whenever. Plus this thing is draining the battery like crazy and if I tried to do a factory restart, I know the phone would lock up and get stuck at the Dell Logo like it did before. So I know things arent right with it since I do all the rom flashing and everything to get it to 2.2.
I just want to know if its possible to flash the 2.2 Rom Im on now, straight to the OEM 1.6 ROM that was on the Streak with AT&T? If so, can anyone point me to the easiest tutorial? I can do the fastboot and everything. Appreciate it guys.

First off, my experience level with Android is pretty high. I have a rooted G2 running CM7 Nightlies and a rooted G1 with the mytouch SPL and Radio running BiffMod. My problem is that a few months ago, my brother got the update for his MT3G 1.2(I think its 32a, its the not original one but its the one with the 3.5mm jack) to go to 2.2.1, every since he updated, his phone is EXTREMELY laggy. I have already tried going into the recovery and doing a factory reset and there was no change. My brother's friend has the original MT3G running the OTA just fine, no lag from what I have noticed. My brother's phone is running stock and I would like to either get it back to stock 1.6 or make his phone run stock 2.2.1 without lag and I would like to do one of the two without rooting. Is it possible to do either one? And yes, I have searched the forums but I didn't really find much. Also, is it possible to flash one of those sappimg images on his stock phone to get back to 1.6 or even a lag free 2.2.1? If you need any other information then feel free to ask.
I was wondering if this was possible. I looked around but could not find anything pertaining to the intercept. I'm on stockROM rooted after previously going tot he sprint 2.2 rom. Is there a way I could flash it? I remember hearing a while ago that samsung has a weird boot that makes it impossible to change...i could be terribly wrong though. And anyone have a suggestion on a stable rom based on the 2.2 update?
i have the telus galaxy s fascinate 3G+ (SGH-T959D) running stock telus 2.3.3 thats been rooted using superoneclick.
i dont have a custom recovery installed. (i dont really need one as im not really looking to install custom roms)
im not sure if the current (i think TLKG2) has a fix or not. im not interested in going back to 2.2. im hoping to find something that works through odin to install.
every aspect of the phone is stock telus including stock telus 2.3.3
im simply looking for a lag fix that's specific to this version.
can anyone point me in the right direction? i'm coming up empty handed on here.
bump.
I'm in the same boat, but WOULD like to flash ICZen's Royale With Cheese....
forgive me if I've missed any existing threads that have successfully dealt with this issue...I've been looking through several without results (yet)...
Does anyone have the stock Android 5.0 calculator from a real android phone like a Nexus? I can't stand Samsung yet am stuck with this phone as it is a work phone so I'm trying everything I can to remove the Samsung-ness from it. So far I've gotten things like the launcher, calender, clock, keyboard, mail, and plenty of other things disabled and replaced with Google versions however I've only been able to find the stock calculator from 5.1 and it won't install. So I'm hoping an Android 5.0 version will work.
Why not just flash a custom non-TouchWiz ROM like CM13?

Is that possible? I was under the impression from other research that I couldn't do that as it's a Verizon phone and has the very most recent OTA update. Heck if I could just root it I'd be happy, that way I can get rid of the volume limit and stop the home button from turning the screen on. I did try one root method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5/general/root-method-og5-ok3-t3290370) but it just put me in a bootloop so I undid everything and gave up for now.
Ah if you've already updated to Lollipop, you're stuck I'm afraid, Bootloader is locked, if you'd stuck with KitKat, you could have rooted etc
I did read that the verizon bootloader had been unlocked, but that was a while back, and never heard anything else since

Hi everyone, is there a way I can just back to stock ATT Rom? I had it rooted and installed one of the roms, but I just want to go back to stock, say the B170 version than later do the officail upgrade to B180, so what are the steps to do that? And when I mean stock, I mean like I just bought it from the store, no TWRP or whatever, just want the phone to be back to original working condition so that I can give it to my kid to play with. Appreciate any help.
Once you've unlocked the bootloader, you can't do an OTA update. You have to wait for someone here to post a flashable B180 ROM.
Thanks, didn't know that. Is there a way to remove that bootup warning when I start up the phone?
not atm i been trying to look into that but havent had much time busy with real life stuff but i will report back if i make any progress on that
