I have HTC magic, and after I restarted it, it's screen does not work at all. I just hear the welcoming music without see anything. the screen does not appear anything. I have tried factory restore, but that did not work out. Please help me. By the way, I am a newbie with andriod.

Pull the battery and restart the phone. Honestly, without a display there isn't much you can do. Is the phone still under warranty or do you have extended coverage through your carrier? If so, I'd start looking into just getting a replacement under one of those.
did you root/flash anything?

I did not root or flash anything. I even do not know how to do that.
Please IF there is anyone could help me. I can hear the welcoming music and the screen is working, but do not display anything. In addition, I can call it, and it rings but I can not answer. There is no any button work out when it is ringing.

Please help, I recently bought the O2 XDA Flame. I had been using the device for a couple of months. As time went on the speed of the phone has deteriorated. At first i thought it was nothing, so i would restart the phone. But then came another issue, after the restart the device would take even longer respond to any command. It would just hang during phone calls also would have isseu with opening the contact etc. I even tried to Hard reset the darn thing but it would not work and would just keep hanging on me.
Please if anyone has any information it would be helpful!!!

sounds like it could be HW issue or SW as well. if it's still covered by wty better send it to SC. we don't want to void the wty right? hehehe if WMG has ROM upgrade you may want to try and upgrade it and see if problem still persist

I am not new here, well... I was just a reader. I could not locate any answer to my question, therefore, I decided to post for the first time. Here is my problem:
I am very happy with my 8525. Recently, possibly after putting the phone on vibration for the first time, my phone's external speaker stopped working. NO sound whatsoever. No ringing, no sound for the videos, MP3s, alarm, etc. I hard reset the device, no luck. Then updated with a new rom, no luck.
My phone is not under warranty anymore. I contacted the HTC about it, they suggested me to send the phone. They told me that the fix can be between $130 and $450.
Now, what should I do? What can be done?

Often this is caused by the push on connector coming off.

But, i have a problem: the screen gets stuck, in the way that i cannot see nothing but if i press the buttons, i feel the vibration; also, if someone calls me, i can speak but still without seeing who is calling. It appears this often when i'm charging the device, and very rare when it is by itself. Can you help me?

This has been mentioned before in previous threads. I'd suggest you try searching for them, though if my memory is right it sounds like you may have a hardware problem with you screen & motherboard, possibly a faulty connection. Would advise you to return device under warranty. Make sure you remove HSPL or any cooked roms before you return device.
aha..understood...but the problem is that i don't have anymore warranty, so i supose that i have to live with it in this way.
What about insurance? Do you have any?
Did you find the other thread? Maybe it had other suggestions. In your case hopefully.

Try using 'black screen' in search. You should find a few threads including this one

Hi, i bought an used exec from ebay and received it right now (the seller sayed it was 100% functional) but it have some issues and i want to know if these issues can be easily fixed, if they are sofware or hardware problem... and... HOW TO FIX THEM .
So... here is:
1.: The phone doens't make any sound, (any speakers works, even when i put a headset it doesnt work). But, when i'm in a call EVERYTHING WORK, i can hear like a normal call, or with speaker normally.
2.: Some times when i turn on the phone it shut down after the "windows mobile" screen or it quikshow the today screen and shut down. So i wait and.. it turns on normally ...and some time after it shows the same issue again.
Please please, help me, i don't know what to do .
Ow, wich button should i press for TURN OFF the phone, not to hibernate...

Thanks but i updated to a new Rom 2 times and the issue is still there and i don't have warranty anymore, the cell phone is used. Please someone help
strangely 2 of my 3 unis have had that issue.

I just got a refurb Hero from Sprint a couple weeks ago. I Rooted with Z4Root and started trying out Roms. I had just went from CM 6.2 to 6.1. Had everything working fine until my screen would stop coming out of hibernate mode. I would have to reset the phone to get the screen back on. It has gradually gotten worse (over the course of one day). Now when I reset the phone I might get the screen to turn on 1 out of 40 times, but the screen is now all messed up even when it does turn on now. I cant figure anything out other than to answer a call because I know where the slider is supposed to be on the screen for answering calls, so if someone calls I cant see anything I just swipe the screen and it answers fine.
Any ideas what might be causing this issue? Would it be a harware issue?

Yea I would try a different download you might have gotton a bad one. Also you should try a different rom after a full wipe. If that didn't work then I would say its a hardware issue.

Thanks for the reply. I did nandroid back to every previous backup I had. Now I cant get the screen to turn on at all so, Im guessing its hardware. taking it to Sprint Today, we'll see what they say.

I was just wondering if there was something to do with installing different roms that could have cause the screen to go out? I am thinking not, but I am new to the whole rooting and rom-ing thing. Is it possible that something I did caused the screen to go out?
Na I doubt it. Hardware usually is the manufacturers fault or user error. Unless you droped it, banged it up real bad or flashed a gsm radio your good. And a screen issue such as yours is most def not a rom issue.The rom dev's on here are solid. And XDA is a well known and respected site. If you need any help with anything just let me know.
