Hi Guys,
I need the kernel source to continue with my MeeGo port (stock kernel does not have SYSFS) has anyone had any luck booting Vega with a kernel they have built from source.
@AndroidVega is promising kernel source for end of Jan.

Hey guys, I have just recently started developing and I have compiled a kernel and ramdisk into a boot image which works great on my phone. My goal is to port MIUI to my device. However, my problem is I don't see the link between kernel versions and android. I mean Gingerbread will run on a 2.6.32 and a 2.6.35 kernel version right? How is the VM and kernel linked? I'm currently on android 2.2 with kernel 2.6.32 and I want to run MIUI with 2.3.3(4). Are there settings or something that needs changing in the kernel? Any advice would be great.
We need someone to port MultiRom for our device
I guess we need only kernel for official ICS and we have open source for ICS kernel.
Hey guys, is impossible make kernel 3.4 for Nexus 7, I know Nvidia release kernel 3.4 but is hard or unnecessary make it true?
Or work on this project by @randomblame https://github.com/randomblame/android_kernel_hisense_3.4/commits/mainline ?
I am pretty new to android kernel and rom compiling.
It is evident from Tronsmart/ RockChip, that we are gonna be stuck on 3.0.36 kernel and Android 4.2.2.
I have the source code for 3.0.36 kernel. Can somebody please guide me through how to upgrade the source to compile lets say 3.10 kernel?
Also, can somebody guide me through compiling kitkat rom for the MK908II?
Thanks
is anyone going to release permissive kernel based on stock (rooted obviously)? The sources are out, I tried by myself but it's the first time that I build a kernel and I'm stuck at the moment.
Thanks
Marco
