Hey
I used the original Shipped ROM on my Elfin for a long time. Now i tried Manila 2D. I really like it but it is missing some Ringtones from the Shipped ROM.

You can use Xipporterex & ROM and change date and ROM version both in payload and in nk.exe and you can edit these registry :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM]
"ROMVersion"="INSERT ROM NAME"
"OperatorVersion"="INSERT ROM NAME"
"ROMDate" value="INSERT DATE"
hope this was helpful!

I used HxD Hexeditor an opened S000 form the nk folder and searched for the Kernel Build but make sure the search unicode string box is ticked and shortly after that you will find the build number.
Make sure you leave the first digit in e.g in my case it is 2 so after it has being edited it would look like .2. .K.a.o.s. . . and what ever comes after.
As for the date it should be just before or just after the ROM Build.
Hope this helps
Hi everybody,
Ever since I flashed CM7, I have noticed that my carrier name displays as numbers. I'm on Bell in Vancouver and it always displayed as "302610" instead of "Bell". This was more of an annoyance than anything really. However, I found this helpful post in the Nexus S forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=916738
So I gave it a try and to my surprise, it actually worked. Please try for yourselves.
All credits go to navalynt...Please thank him if this worked for you.
For your reference, I've posted my spn-conf.xml (I had to rename the extension to txt but should be xml) and the row that I inserted into optable.db operator table is:
plmn: 302610
full: Bell
short: Bell
This has worked for me on the latest CM7.1 nightlies and Team ICSSGS RC4.2.
Can you clarify your steps to adding this file? I read the original post but if I download your txt and change it to .bmp where would I place it ?
Thanks
