Has anyone tried it yet?
Yeah, it doesn't detect my G2. Sits on the main screen saying, "No device connected". A buddy of mine with a G2 has the same result.

Sounds like you may not have the correct drivers installed for your device. Check device manager (Win key+Pause/Break).
HTC Sync recognizes my Z but says that I've connected a device without storage card and that a storage card is needed. I've tried with and without debugging mode.
And my SD card is mounted with Auto Mount.
Any ideas?

Do you need to be running a sense rom for this to work?

When I connect my phone to the computer after it installs the software it says HTC dream and not Hero. This is keeping PdaNet from working and HTC sync does not show my phone either. I am using fresh Rom 1.1. The weird thing is on my Win 7 64 bit computer it shows correct. Any ideas how to fix this?
This isn't a problem really, the software just sees an android phone and says Dream as it was the first android phone. PDANet and HTC Sync should work fine... actually, I have had problems with PDANet and HTC Sync both being installed, uninstall them both then just install PDANet and all should be well.
you have to manually change the driver to "My HTC"
Go to the device in device manager, hit update driver then hit manually select driver from list.

I did that many times and all it does is come back and say windows is already using the best driver for HTC Dream Composite ADB Interface
The problem with having the computer see it as HTC Dream is when I try and do a restore using the RUU from Sprint it says the phone is not connected to the computer nor will HTC Sync ever show green

I feel like an idiot. I failed to click search for driver from a list. Now it is showing right. Thanks for reminding me about that and just how easy it was LOL.
Hi,
does anyone know where i can download some of the widgets found on the HTC Desire?
I'm looking for the following to install onto the Cyanogen's ROM i have installed on my Nexus:
Calendar widget
Dialer app
Music app
SMS app
If anyone can point me in the right direction as where to download the APKs, it would be most appreciated.
Thanks!
HTC widgets only work with SenseUI
ok fair enough....thanks for the quick response
As a few people have pointed out (and I have also tried this using Paul's Desire apps on Cyanogen), the HTC Sense (Hero, Droid Eris, CDMA Hero, Desire, Incredible, Evo 4G, HTC Tatoo) apps require a special framework system. If you flash the Desire Camera app onto your phone then it may work. For the apps specifically, pull them out of the /system/app directory in a ROM which includes them
I noticed after installing froyo you cant use htc sync . Is there a alternative ?

Hmm...guess that would work . But the accessibility isn't the same .
I have an hd2. And I'm running froyo 2.2 I think. I have had it for about a year. And everything works great. Except for a couple of bugs. Home screens don't rotate, flash doesn't work for camera, and I can't install angry birds. Damn it. With that said has there been a new Android build worthy of me flashing it to my hd2 and replacing my froyo? Also is there a way to flash it so I don't turn on phone and it goes to energy Rom. Please help.

Sorry I would post directly, but I can't post "outside links" which epc.t-mobile com is considered.

Im thinking that the 2.3.4 ROM you are now running is the nexus one build to HD2. you wouldn't be able to run htc sync since it would recognize the phone as a nexus one. the windows mobile sync center also wont work.
Connect Usb and transfer files!

Ok first things first.
I tested many roms but ONLY PURE Gingerbread rom is listed on my signature. Also dont had any problems with MMS or SMS.
Yes syncing wont work, but some stuff you can make with DroidExplorer
Right now maked some search for soft and found three sync soft. I dont tested these yet. You use it with your own risk. Backup with titaniumbackup first.

I've used both DroidExplorer and MyPhoneExplorer. They both seem a little twitchy. I mainly rely on syncing with my Google account. I use Google Calendar Sync on my PC to sync my Google calendar and Outlook.
Hello, on my HTC Desire HD with Leedroid 3.3.3 ROM, I had a app, "picasa web albums" 1.0.6.
On my HTC Desire (non HD) I flashed Leedroid 3.0.8.2 ROM, it's without picasa web albums.
Has anyone used this app for the non-HD desire? Will it work properly or is there a reason it's left off the 3.0.8.2 ROM?
Thanks, in advance.
It's on HTC Hub.
Maybe be a silly question, but where do you download HTC Hub? Does it come on the standard Desire phone, or with the Leedroid ROM? I don't see it, if it does.
My search revealed a French app and webpage.
Thanks!
