Yes it is possible. I had the droid sound on the builds I was using. The down side is that it slows that boot animation. But yes it's possible.
Just put mp3 file in system/customize/resource folder

MIUI has this option too...just go into menu and press enable sound.
Thanks for the replies everyone.
Umfortunantly, I do not want to use a Sense or MIUI rom.
I am on Hyperdroid CM7.
I tried putting the mp3 file in system/media folder with the bootanimation.
But no luck at all.

I tried a few Roms on here Sense & Non-Sense & all of them have the same problem. When I try to use my headphones with a built in Mic it doesn't work. Is this a Problem with the phone or is it a Rom Problem?

Have you tried the stock rom or cm7.1.0 stable? Or maybe another phone entirely?

I still haven't been able to solve what causes the wired headset mic not to work, was trying to fix it on Absolution rom too. Someone said it might just be a lib, but im not sure which one.

Thats Correct. The heat up bug is cause by the headphone plug. The bluetooth ones don't have it, so the problem its solve. I recomend you the Nokia BH-505 headset.
