Hi all,
I'm looking for a couple of mods that I haven't seen and was wondering if there is one or not. I'm not really wanting to use a separate launcher if I don't have too.
1. Is there a mod to add the play store link to the top right of the app drawer where the settings shortcut is?
2. Is there a way to make the folders I setup on the home screen look like the circles on the stock android home screen?
3. Is there a way to add Torch (flashlight) to the quick settings bar in the notification tray?
I'm loving this phone as it runs circles around my galaxy nexus and these are the only things I am kind of missing.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I have recently installed iLauncher which has removed the Google search bar widget from the top of the home screen. I am also aware that other launchers like nova can do this.
However, I am still unable to figure out how to remove the same google search bar that appears when I enter the app switcher (recent apps). This app switcher being what appears when you press the right hand side square button at the bottom of the screen on the home screen, where you can close the apps you have running.
I have no clue how to remove the search bar from here and it is very annoying, as it is on the switcher but not on my home screen and I do not want it on either.
I have included screenshots of my home screen and the switcher so you see what I mean.
Thanks.

It depends on the custom ROM you're running, most custom ROM's have their own settings menu to configure options that are usually not found in AOSP. You have to search there and see if there's a menu for recent apps and the option to show or hide search on recent apps should be there.
Xposed and GravityBox is always an option

I am not running a custom ROM though, just stock marshmallow with a different launcher installed.

You can do either of the above or request the launcher dev to include it. That's 3 options, just for you.
Nova Launcher allows this to be removed
I've read some posts and watched a few videos on how to get rid of the stupid LeView screen, problem was I saw no explanations for when it won't work.
What do you do when you click the eye icon and nothing happens? Turns out the solution is so easy that people never answered because they probably felt stupid. Luckily I have no shame :silly:
Step 1 ) Hold down any blank spot on home screens (like you would add a widget} but don't go to the LeView page as this is where you get the un-clickable eye icon, 1st click the home icon on the top of page you're at to make it your home screen
Step 2 ) Hold down any blank spot on home screens (like you would add a widget} Now you can go to the LeView page and hit the eye icon to disable it.
For me LeView came set as my home screen making just hitting the eye ineffective.
"Never go full retard" xD
just use any 3rd party launcher should do.
im using Nova Launcher... superb!!
- Use any 3rd party launcher
- Change your ROM (ROM with removed CN Apps)
- System remove APP (needs root) and remove the complete Application. (But i dont know if it works)
Glad to see that this works for disabling the LeView app on the Le Pro 3 as well.
Nothing wrong with the built in Eui Launcher at least for me.

Hi there,
does anybody know if it is possible to set a shortcut for a website on the EPD screen?
There is a widget where i can select apps from a list.
But i just want to set a shortcut for a website like Dropbox or Newspapers so that i can select it directly on the EPD.
thx
The answer isn't straightforward, essentially what you're looking for is a pointer to website, but in the apps drawer so you can pick it up from the EPD's app launcher menu. Android doesn't do that natively, and a typical shortcut application would only allow shortcut on home screen.
A rather intriguing method would be to create shortcuts with Tasker and then install them as app. Definitely worth a shot. Someone might have a better answer though.
It is not that easy as i thought.
There is an App called Yotabelt, which should allow this, but no chance. It does not open anything.
So, i guess, i'll have to find a way to get a shortcut into the apps list.
It looks like I can't add any app specific shortcut on my home screens.
In Firefox, when I click to add a bookmark to the home screen, nothing happens, no shortcut is created.
And on FB messenger the option to add a chat head shortcut to the homescreen doesn't even show up anywmore.
I tried with stock launcher, lawnchair and Nova, same problem.
Did I miss something?
Btw I just bought that G6 and updated to Oreo right out of the box, so I don't know how it was on Nougat.

Ok I guess the apps need to be updated to use the new method.
No one else has that problem?
