Lost 3G data Availablilty - Fascinate General

My friend still has it on his OG droid,
but i do not on my DJ05 Fascinate.... anyone have a clue?

This is just a shot in the dark, but when you updated to DJ05, did you use Titanium Backup and restore old system data?

EB01 Madden NFL 11???

Does this come preinstalled on EB01 for free? I just noticed it's on there, but I never purchased it. And it didn't ask me to buy.
???
nevermind, just the trial version
Yes if you don't want it use titanium backup to uninstall it, it is part of the samsung/verizon bloat ware on the new rom

Randomly dropping data connection?

I am running the CM7 and have been since Lithid was compiling. But the other day I nandroided and decided to try a couple other roms. MIUI and some Sense based rom. But when I restored my nandroid my data connection drops all the time. Maybe works for 3 min every hour. I've tried clearing cache and dalvik, and even reflashing CM7 but to no avail.
Any idea what could be causing this? It's just my phone cos my wifes CM6 EVO is fine.
Thanks in advance.

I seem to have figured it out. I had installed a wireless adb app from the market and as soon as I uninstalled it I got my data back.

Installed 2.3.3 but...

Hi all, encouraged by all the positive comments about JPK I decided to go on and install it.
All went well, rooted without trouble then went back to the stock kernel. I restored all the apps and system data with Titanium Backup and suddenly the process com.android.systemui (the top taskbar) crashed. I rebooted the phone but the error stayed.
I tried reflashing but this time I installed the apps from scratch and used Titanium to restore the apps data, after that the system responded very stable until an hour ago when the com.android.systemui error and crash appeared again.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any fixes?
I was on JPY before, I guess I'll try JS8 or go back to JPY
Thanks

never restore system data unless whatever ur running is the same thing you were running when you did the backup.
I absolutely agree with you. That's why I flashed again with no system data restore. But the process crashed once more.
Thanks for your input Runedrune
Any other thoughts?

But did you wipe everything before/after the flash?

Yes, everything but the (obviously) external sd card.
The only thing I didn't do was repartition. Do you think that could fix it?

Try repartition. I did with 512 pit and no problems installed this way on 6 phones.
Good luck.

This to me seems like a problem with Titanium Backup: because both times you experienced it after using it, and no one else here have reported anything like that with JVK.

Best thing for contacts is to sync with Google. As soon as you sign in to market after wiping and flashing things all contacts are restored. Clean and simple and always on hand if you lose your phone.

It explains everything related to the backup with TB and why you're experiencing this error.
It happened to me exactly the same..its because you used Titanium and restored system data.

I've had the same issues with TB, i used it in the beginning. But now i just keep a list of have-to-have apps and i sync my calendar & contacts with google.
I'm also running on 2.3.3, it runs much faster and smoother than 2.2, some lags but a lot less then stock 2.2.

Ok, I'll give it Google sync a try and backup my data using other means. Does anyone know how long does it take to make a full backup via Google?
And will this include wifi and apn settings?
Thanks again

As far as i know, but i could be wrong, you can only sync calendar & contacts via Google. So settings of your phone won't be backed up.
Success!! Thank you all for your suggestions. Gingerbread works smoothly now. Working through the first battery depleting cycles now, time will tell.
Sadly my car home app from samsung for the vibrant car dock doesn't work anymore. It does trigger car mode but it won't play the music through the dock's line out nor keep the screen on. Anyone else experienced this?
Maybe wait for a Gingerbread supported version of the app?
Thanks once more

Back up my data - KK

Firstly, hope you are all well!!
I have just seen a post about how you use the built in back up my data facility instead of using TB. (Preventing any cross contamination files which can cause problems etc)
I also would like to go down this route for when my Nexus 5 arrives today (currently running a Nexus 4).
How do I know if my phone is backing up my data? Reason I ask is because I have my data upload/download speeds showing and since enabling the back up my data feature I don't see any uploading going on.
I have enabled back up my data and automatic restore under backup and restore. The account showing is indeed my gmail account.
Then in Accounts, Google I have App Data sync enabled and clicked sync now.
I am using the litchi rastakat ROM and Semaphore kernel on my Nexus 4.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Chris
I honestly don't know exactly what that option backs up (I have it enabled also), but the only way to dona complete and proper backup is a Titanium Backup and a Nandroid.

No worries. I got help elsewhere.
Mods can delete this thread as it is just taking up space.

Sure.
I just did what I said in my thread opener and my new Nexus 5 downloaded all my apps again.
