So under the different peoples contact profile it has a second called "Gallery" and under every contact it always says no Albums. So i was wondering how can I create albums for my different contacts? Or How can albums appear under a specific contact? For example, under my girlfriends contact info i would like an album of just pics of her. Please help.
I guess its your lucky day man, I myself came across this BS this afternoon while setting up my GF in myFav. I had her photo in mSD and I tried so many ways to put her photos in "Gallery" and failed. So I dug a little and found that only way to have anything display there is if you have the contact added to your social networking and your logged on for example facebook.

First of all, sry if this is posted somwhere but doing severall search and nothing come out.
Sync Facebook to contacts, and Galaxy is doing some weird things to the contact pictures picked up from Facebook, shrinking or expanding to fit the total resolution available.
Leaving ppl with a really strange look, either to thin or to large.
Even in Samsung app Friends Now is happening the same. Or if you had a shortcut of a contact to UI.
My question, is it possible to prevent SGS to Stretch/Skew this pictures...?
Thanks in advance.
Strange to see close to 100 views and no one claiming to have same issue.
If someone as same problem pls reply.
Brgds
It fits the images to a certain box. That is how it works.
Dont know anything more helpful. Anoying yes but I havent really thought about it
Same here, images get stretched to fit the box. Annoying indeed. One fix would be creating a local contact and linking it to the facebook contact, then download a picture from the facebook site and add it to the local contact. That way the local picture will show up. I wish the phone did this automatically though.
Also, how come there's no "set as contact picture" option in the browser or in Facebook S? Cmon, it's a must feature!
So I love my fascinate except for the occasional lagginess, but one thing drives me insane and it's the fact that the contact pictures are so grainey and pixilated I imported all my contact pictures from facebook and i'm wondering if there's any fix for this......my brothers droid incredibles contact pictures look just fine and he pulled them from facebook.
The easiest fix is a temporary one--download Sync My Pix from the Market.
You have to turn off "sync my contacts with gmail" to keep it from reverting back. This is a known issue that different people use various methods to get around. You can dig around existing topics in the forums if you wanna know more.
thank you, this helps alot. The contact pictures are still super small when I call them unfortunately, I'm thinking this is samsungs fault though. Helped alot on my contacts widget with launcher pro.
The easiest way hands down is going to your google contacts via pc and picking contact photos there.
OK, this is really a general android question but I'm asking it here because other solutions I've seen on the web seem to be for specific phones/versions of Android.
I've just recently bought the G2 after spending almost three years with an iPhone and I absolutely love it. But I was stunned to find out that one of the old issues that drove me crazy about Android still exists. The blurry contact images when someone calls. I've googled the net and read a lot about it and I can't seem to come up with a fix that won't be too time consuming. I've found apps that will sync hi-res photos from facebook but they stop there. I have a lot of work contacts that are pulled from LinkedIN and I don't want to ignore them. I'm also not interested in getting pictures of everyone I know and manually linking them with some third party app that will overwrite the pixelated 96x96 google profile picture. So....what are you more experienced Android users doing for this?
i had all my contacts backed up in google and i am coming from s4, even pictures taken with s4 and set as contacts come blurry, but worked fine on s4, the only think i tired which worked from me is to edit the contact by selecting the same picture if you have it on your phone and they come out fine in g2 contacts, odd

using this app
Found a weird solution.... I starred all contacts... deleted cache and data of contacts app --> all pics in HD....
Hi All,
I'm a newbie but a long-time follower of this site, so please excuse me of any ignorance. I tried searching for my issue but didn't find anything relevant, hence posting here.
I have ATT Stock Samsung Galaxy S4. I have one primary google account(A) which takes care of apps downloading, gmail etc. I also added another google account(B) mainly to manage my Photos. So, whenever I take new photos, I have instant upload/auto-backup for this account B. My sd card just crashed couple of days and I have formatted it and it's all good to go now.
Now, I am looking for ways to see all my google+ photos of Account B in my Gallery app since auto-sync is turned on. While it shows up everything in Google+ photos app, I would prefer to see everything in Gallery app. I tried changing "Content to Display" in Gallery settings to show Picasa as well Device photos, but it keeps showing account A's picasa web albums and not account B.
I am really tired of looking everywhere, so I'm hoping one of you could patiently help me.
Thanks!
K
hi there.
two days ago i got my new s5. i like it and all but all the image storing and online storage is a little much at first. but since my previous phone was stolen and i lost a couple of hundred of fond memories (pictures) i was determined to store them online this time. i set up a dropbox account that seems to come with the phone and i used picasa or whatever google drive calls my online gallery (never used this before).
it's neat and i figured out how to hide online pictures so it serves as a backup.
NOW TO MY PROBLEM:
since everything is new to me here (had sgs2 before) i played around in the gallery that is now largely different. i seem to have set something to the wrong setting because now it doesn't show ANY PICTURES anymore. not from any folder/album. from one second to the other everything was gone (from the gallery). the pictures are all there, though. i can access them with any other app (es file explorer, google pictures, camera, etc.) but i want my gallery back. it says "no items - after you take, record or upload pictures or videos to dropbox, items will be shown in gallery"
this leads me to suspect that i might have switched my gallery to displaying the contents of my EMPTY dropbox account. i don't want this but i am unable to change it back. besides i have an app for dropbox stuffs so why is this feature even integrated?
settings shows me the following:
accounts:
[g] my gmail account
SNS DATA CONTROL:
sync via wifi only [v]
CLOUD SYNC
dropbox sync
tap to sync content
FILTER
filter by
TAGS
tag buddy
off
face tag [_]
above i can only access "Add Account" which brings me to a menu displaying all my accounts (or some): samsung, google, dropbox, facebook
PLEASE HELP ME!
i did not find any help searching because there seems to be a similar problem with people's media storage malfunctioning. i don't believe that is my problem but i tried resetting the media storage anyways. i am sure it is something that i did to hide my pictures. how do i get them back? i don't plan on using a different gallery app but maybe it is the only solution?
regards
L2

EDIT:
------------------------------------
i actually just installed quickpic and it shows all my pictures which proves to me even further that nothing is wrong with the pictures but just that my gallery is screwed up. how do i unscrew it?
Clear data for gallery app under settings/applications.
